“Chapel St Leonard’s where the sun always shine”

This was our 2nd Stay and was everything we needed for a relaxing stay after a longhaul journey from Australia. It was very homely and comfy. It was also a great base to travel around Lincolnshire. Thank you John

Tidy Bungalow,Great home from Home

Well presented bungalow in a quiet location but close to all the village amenities. Perfect for a peaceful stay. The dog loved the play field at the rear of the property. Would recommend to others....

Nice property

Nice property in a nice area , however you are charged for your electric use which is a bit steep considering the price

Thank you for your review John we are glad you think we have a nice property. As for the electric the costs are minimal and tends to keep overall prices down as guests only pay for what they use. This has worked well over the years and we review this every season.

Bungalow in peaceful area

A well kept property in a well kept area of the town. Can't complain about that. Walk to the beach took a little longer than we thought as there aren't any cuts-through that could be used...but that's not the property's fault. Can fully recommend the property.

October 2023

Excellent property and location. Had the best time with my mum and teenage son and the dog. Has everything you need and more. Garden was very muddy due to the heavy rain we have had recently but otherwise lovely. Would certainly recommend and will be staying again. Thanks so much its a little home away from home with the seaside added in

Excellent stay.

The property was excellent. Very comfortable indeed. Lovely sofas and beds. Very clean and tidy. Garden amazing & will be great in summer, very quiet and safe for dogs. Has bath and shower which for me is a bonus. Nice quiet location, not far from shops and beach. Not really walking distance but a short drive. Oven outdated and old, difficult to control hob and oven temperature, needs modernising. Also holiday maker pays for electric as an extra? Never heard of that before and we stay in holiday cottages several times a year. The price to rent is not cheap, so should include electric! Overall would recommend this holiday home.

Needs some updating

Property really needs some updating, kitchen taps, shower, kettle leaks, toaster ineffective. Toilet seat broken. It lacks good utensils, was almost impossible to cut an onion! Fridge is tiny so would be a challenge if staying any longer than a weekend. For transparency the listing should state that you need to pay for electric by topping up the meter, the cost is minimal and not a problem but its the fact that you don't find out until you receive key info etc which is just before arrival!

It is a shame to put such negative comments after having so many positive reviews. The electrc costs are minimal like you said and it helps to keep overall booking costs down as most guests don't use much at all espeacillay in the summer months when they are visiting the beach. The utensils are updated every season but I will take on board your comments and review this immediately.

Family Visit

Nice little property but needs some maintenance and a little TLC. In comparison to surrounding properties it looks a little unkempt. All windows left on latch which meant there were cobwebs everywhere and bugs on all windows. So be prepared to vacate some creatures on arrival. It does have everything you could need for a comfortable stay but again eveything in the kitchen was sticky and dusty and there was a cupboard under the sink that was just about hanging on, this was mentioned in a previous review(few monrhs back) and still hasnt been fixed properly. It was quite expensive for a 2 night stay to then be asked to top up the electric, was a shocker even our family were bemused at this!!! This should be mentioned on booking!! If you fixed all the above you could have a returning customer.

Outside needs attention some uneven slabs on drive. Shower wasn’t powerful and head didn’t stay in position. Lots of cobwebs and spiders but can’t be helped this time of year. Back door didn’t lock but conservatory was lovely. Need more local up to date info including local map etc. great location though and would return

It is clean near amenities. And dog friendly

Have been to this cottage a couple of times. It is lovely. But electric expensive. Especially if you need to put on some heating. Always booked with home away didnt know it was taken over by vrbo. That caused some confusion. And at times could not understand what was being said.

Excellent property for a summer break

Bungalow was set in a pleasant area close enough to shops and beach with a lovely garden for our dog, however the bungalow had stone tiled floors which made the property very difficult and expensive to keep warm. Great in the summer months but not really suitable for a winter break. If heating had been included in the cost it would have been better.

Second time here

Every thing you need ,nice and quiet but only a short walk to the centre of Chapel St Leonard’s, if you like a walk you can get to Ingoldmells along the sea front with cafes on the way. Simple grassed garden which gets the sun all day. Will go again 10 out of 10 👍
