This home is located 7 miles northeast of Elizabethton. The house includes three bedrooms, two baths, living room, fully furnished kitchen, dining room, and a den. There are two flat screen TV's and wifi with Roku TV. There is also a covered deck with table and chairs and a carport for two cars. This house is located on 36 acres of beautiful pasture land and woods that is a great place to hike and take in the beautiful views of the mountains. The house is conveniently located within twenty minutes of the Applachian Trail. Watauga Lake and River is a short fifteen to twenty minute drive. The South Holston tailwater is considered one of the best trout fishing streams east of the Mississippi is only a twenty-five minute drive. Our home is ideal for hosting a fly fishing adventure! The Bristol International Speedway is only twenty miles away. Local attractions like the Tweetsie Bike Trail, Roan Mountain State Park, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Asheville, The Virginia Creeper Trail and Abingdon Virginia, are all within a one-two hour driving distance. For those who love the outdoors and are looking for a quiet place to rest this is the ideal location.

Race weekend- Bristol Speedway

The stay was pleasant. We spent little time in the home as we went to the race both days. Nightly rate was good but I felt the processing and cleaning fees were more than I would have liked. I would stay again, very comfy and exactly what we expected.

Nice clean place adequate supplies everything went just fine I think they may have a problem if it's snowed with that driveway but luckily we didn't get snow nice time there

Peaceful Retreat

My sisters and I enjoyed our stay l. It was the perfect place to stay while we were in towm for the International Story Telling Festival. Cozy, clean, and comfortable!

Cozy and Spacious Home

Thank you for sharing your home. This property is well maintained and reminded me of staying at my family home. The rooms are spacious with a touch of history and modern updates. I would recommend for a vacation or just a weekend getaway. The views from the property are gorgeous. Morning coffee on the front porch with a view of the TN mountains or on the back deck with the birds and butterflies are a must. Would definitely rent again.

This is the home I grew up in. My parents built this house in 1954-55. While it is an older home it has been well maintained. As a kid we raised beef cattle and grew tobacco and corn. As a kid I would hunt squirrels on this property and camp. It is a very special place to me and my brothers. I now live in Richmond, Kentucky but my brother and sister-in-law live close to this house.

Why they chose this property

This property is set in between two mountain ranges that puts guests close to outdoor activities like fishing on the Watauga or South Holston rivers and lakes. There is great hiking near by and bike trails near Elizabethton and Johnson City. One of the best biking trails is near Damascus Virginia (the Creeper Trail). It is a 45 minute trip and well worth the drive.

What makes this property unique

We have plenty of space for a family to roam. There is 36 acres of pasture land and woods to enjoy. There are incredible views from the property and it is very quiet and peaceful. Our home is within an hours drive of Boone and Blowing Rock and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in North Carolina. The town of Asheville is only a 75 minute drive. We are also conveniently located to the cities of Elizabethton, Johnson City and Bristol.
