Enjoy Miami in our "Peacock Jungle Paradise Home"

We speak English and Spanish and rent our fully equipped and fully furnished historic home in the Coconut Grove tropical jungle.

All utilities and services are paid for: Wifi, Apple TV, Electricity, Water, Trash collection, we even have 2 bikes that you can use free of charge. Housekeeping can be arranged separately for an extra charge.

Central and Convenient Location: 10 minute walk to Cocowalk (movies, restaurants, art galleries, historic sites, shops and a lively, classy neighborhood center), 20 min airport drive, 10 min drive to Coral Gables, 5 blocks to Merrick Place Shops, 15 min to Brickell and Downtown, and 20 min to Key Biscayne or South Beach.
Poinciana Avenue is a traditional Coconut Grove street with Poinciana trees, and wild peacocks roaming about.

Everything you need to stay is provided (clean towels, linen, silverware, toilet paper, kitchen essentials, etc). We are cooking enthusiasts so will find top grade cooking utensils and equipment.

- Washer & dryer, Dishwasher, Coffee maker, Microwave. Fully equipped kitchen.
- Outdoor Parking area in the property that can fit at least 3 cars

The master bedroom sleeps two (king bed), guest bedroom sleeps 4 in 2 queen beds, and a queen bedroom in the third room. We have a pack and play crib that we can install if you have a baby or small child.

The kitchen is super organized and very comfortable where 4 people can sit to eat on the breakfast bar. We also have a dining table that sits about 8 or 10, a lounging area overlooking the garden, and an outside dining table that sits 6 right next to the grill. Just turn on the string lights for a warmer ambience.
You can also enjoy a good book on the hammock while you listen to the birds.

AC works in the entire house as well as heating within the same unit in the unlikely chance that you get a cold front.

Everything is super clean and well maintained and we are only 5 minutes away to help you with anything you need.

This is a family friendly house, where everybody can have a relaxing time. The neighbourhood is great for pedestrians or taking a bike ride, and transportation is simple with a rental car or using Uber or Lyft.

A beautiful house

This house is just gorgeous. Spacious, clean and comfortable with everything that you might need for your stay. The garden is delightful - a wonderful quiet space in which to read, eat and relax. We all enjoyed some time in the hammock and the bikes were a treat too. A cool and calm retreat away from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the city.

Enchanting, charming, spacious, comfortable

This home is in a terrific Coconut Grove location. The canopy of trees that greets you driving south on Le Jeune Road was just the beginning! In a neighborhood with a tropical-like setting, this home is deceptively spacious. I loved the artwork (many are creations of the owner), and the outdoor area is true serenity. No need for an alarm clock. The morning calls of wild peacocks may wake you. Don't let that be a deterrent. It's fascinating to watch the male peacock dance for the females. Make time during your stay to enjoy the backyard/garden. The string lights at night make it extra enchanting. The beds were comfortable; the kitchen appropriately stocked; the wifi totally reliable. We weren't overly familiar with Apple TV, but television was not an important amenity to our group. We made use of the bicycles to visit Coco Walk, the piers/marina, and just general exploration. This home is not far from Matheson Hammock Park where you can get a beach/lagoon-like experience if you don't want to go as far as Virginia Key or Key Biscayne. Beach towels weren't "obvious," but we made do with towels from the linen closet. It was easy to use a ride share service from the home to Key Biscayne and Miami Beach/South Beach where parking can be tricky. I loved this home and location and highly recommend it. Last and certainly not least, the owners were responsive to all my inquiries.

Wonderful house in a beautiful neighborhood!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Peacock jungle paradise house and would hope to stay again in the future. We were visiting the area for my daughter’s audition at the Frost School of music at UM and it was a very convenient location proximate to the U. We could have ridden the bikes offered to us to coconut grove had we not been exhausted every day after sitting in on music classes all day. We were so happy to be able to come back to the house and relax and have dinner in versus going out. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything one would need. While we were here, the owner Steve was staying in the garage/cottage next to the house and showed us around the house and gave us details for our stay. He also loaned us a chair and an umbrella when we wanted to go to the beach our last day. That being said, if a beach is on your agenda do bring beach towels as they didn’t have them. But we were welcome to bring along the bath towels which was nice. The wild peacocks roam everywhere along Poinciana and are a treat to see. They clearly own the neighborhood. There is no cable TV, just the Apple TV which was fine for us. The backyard courtyard area was beautiful. They have pretty lights all over in the back and had we not been so tired every night we would have grilled out back and used that area more. Beds were very comfortable and shower was great. Loved the house and hope my daughter chooses Miami for College so we can come stay here again!
