- gastronomy lovers: foie gras, Agen prunes, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, wines: to taste on the farm or on production sites. Great restaurants.

The site is calm and resting (- bed in 160 x 200 - sunbathing - armchairs and tables of garden, ...
The garden is closed and children and animals are welcome ... (except the dogs who chase cats because we have 3 cats and 1 old dog very calm and very nice that does not bark).
Many tourist sites to visit around.
Possibility of going to the ocean or the Bassin d'Arcachon for example, with return trip during the day.
Toulouse or Bordeaux are also available during the day.
Region still little frequented by tourists who discover the charms from year to year. Many are coming back and some are looking for a habitat for their retirement.

Region of production of fruits and vegetables, strawberries, apricots, nectarines, peaches, pears, kiwis, plums of course and all the vegetables are, according to the season, on the small local markets or the producers.

Discoveries of monuments, walks on the water, visits of sites dedicated to the local production, the arts or the craft industry can occupy largely the time of the stay.
Walking and cycling tours are numerous and of all levels.

Very comfortable ,rooms very large for a gite,well equiped kitchen,plenty of storage space

Nicole & dominique fantastic hosts,very helpful in every way,many laughs had trying to converse with each other.ulla and teddy the dogs were also very amicable.all in all we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend any one to visit

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Dominique et Nicole sont d'excellents hôtes, aux petits soins et discrets à la fois. Leurs chiens et chats sont de véritables amours, gentils et bien éduqués ! Je retiens une impression de gentillesse naturelle chez les gens de la région et c'est particulièrement vrai pour madame et monsieur Delhaye. Nous avons été très bien accueillis, nos hôtes sont très sympathiques et toujours prêts à aider. Les petits plus: le dépannage en petite épicerie (sel, sucre...) prévu avant l'arrivée. Ma fille a bien apprécié de pouvoir jouer avec chiens et chats. Très bonne ambiance.

Maison très bien équipée, jardin très plaisant où chiens et chats cohabitent naturellement, à proximité de tous commerces dans une très belle région riche en histoire. Hôtes très attentionnés (les rochers à la noix de coco étaient délicieux), discrets et soucieux de notre bien-être. Des vacances formidables et, en souvenir, d’excellents moments partagés au milieu des arbres ou autour de la table. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, hôtes chaleureux et très sympathiques, maison très bien équipée. Notre jeune chienne a eu beaucoup de plaisir à jouer avec les chiens et le chat des propriétaires. Le gîte est très bien situé, tout près d'Agen. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les marchés nocturnes de Nérac et de Fongrave, ainsi que le marché paysan de Frespech. Merci de votre accueil et de votre gentillesse.

The perfect setting. (4th-19th Sept.2020)

We found the village easily. We even found the bakery - but it was closed! A phone call to the owner (Dominic) saw him coming to our rescue on a bicycle, and leading us another few hundred metres to the next bakery, which was open! Yes! You can have fresh bread and croissants, only 20m from the garden gates!! 😊 In a small turn-off at the side, he stopped and operated double electric gates, and led us inside, into another little world! We had a better chance to speak to Dominic and meet Nicole who, with our broken French, and their broken English, we got on with like a house on fire! Lovely people! They had even allowed us to turn up at the property a day earlier than arranged, at no extra cost, as the previous guests had to cancel their stay due to the Covid virus!! 😊 We also met the dogs, little Ulla and the big, boisterous Teddy - the Odd - but very lovable - Couple! ❤ The gite was exactly as the photos show, though bigger than many we've stayed in. It was clean, and had everything we could need. The garden was surprisingly larger than the outside would have you think, and we had our own 'private' garden, which was completely hidden from the world, with it's own curtain hedgerow! The position in St Hilaire de Lusignan was perfect for our stay, where we explored properties for sale in the region. The only one problem we had, was due to the uncommonly high temperatures (25-35+ degrees!) for September, and having the Dordogne river less than 100m away - Tiger mosquitos!! For some reason, French insects love me, so I was almost eaten alive!!! Fortunately, there's a Pharmacy only a few hundred metres away, and I was able to get an anti histamine cream quite cheaply, from the English speaking Pharmacist! In short - a wonderful stay, in a wonderful place, with lovely owners (the fresh eggs from the market, which turned up on our outside table, were delicious, and much appreciated ❤). We were so sad to leave. 😥 Estelle and Billy, from South Wales, UK. (aged 66).
