With its beautiful Alsatian red walls, this house stands out in the centre of the pretty village of Sewen, opposite the church and on the banks of the River Doller, which flows down from Ballon d'Alsace. The village's flower-covered facades, old coloured houses and old café lend it an air of charm. This former shepherd's house has been converted into a country holiday home. It is very comfortable and practical with its living room, dining room and open-plan kitchen. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms (with hammam shower, tub and shower) and 2 separate restrooms are spread between the ground and first floors, and the house can sleep up to 8 people. Behind the house is a terrace with garden furniture, barbecue and solarium. An ideal location, at the foot of Ballon d'Alsace, near the Alfeld and Sewen lakes, for walkers and hikers all the year round.

In the winter, guests can enjoy the Ballon d'Alsace ski resort that offers 10 slopes, from beginner to expert.

Traumhafter Übergang ins neue Jahr

Tolles Haus, genau richtig für uns 2 Familien. Ausstattung top, großer Esstisch für gemütliche gemeinsame Mahlzeiten und Spielabende. Der Ort Sewen ist eine super Ausgangslage für Wanderungen oder Ausflüge in die sehr nahen Ski- und Rodelgebiete rund um den Ballon d'Alsace. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter, haben den Schnee und den traumhaften Sonnenschein sehr genießen können. Zum Bäcker und Einkaufen musste man etwas fahren, aber das war im Hinblick auf den Rest überhaupt kein Problem. Sehr netter Kontakt mit Vermietern und Nachbarn. Absolute Empfehlung :)

Bonne location

Bonne location, à noter : tout le linge de maison est fourni (draps, serviettes, torchons), le logement est très bien équipé, il y a une boîte à clés pour faciliter l'entrée dans la maison si le propriétaire n'est pas là. Côté literie : c'est très ferme! Pas de rebord au pied pour un lit double et 2 lits simples, ce qui est toujours plus agréable pour des géants comme nous. Les petits couacs (pas graves) : il est temps de renouveler les poêles, les revêtements sont en très mauvais état. Associées aux plaques à induction, quelle galère pour faire sauter quelques pommes de terre... Le lave linge est allemand, une petite traduction ne serait pas de trop 😉 Très bonne situation géographique pour les amoureux de randonnée. Le village est très beau, le voisin d'en face (homme de confiance des propriétaires) très sympathique et de bon conseil.

Een mooi huis voorzien van veel faciliteiten

Het huis ligt in een klein dorp aan de voet van de Ballon de l'Alsace. Het huis is voorzien van een ruime keuken met de nodige faciliteiten (o.a. Amerikaanse koelkast met ijsblokjesmachine). Wat wel tegenviel was het kleine bankstel dat ook nog eens was doorgezakt en de slechte matras op een van de bedden (veren waren goed voelbaar). Ook misten we een map met informatie over de woning en de omgeving (info over o.a. winkels en medische diensten). De woning ligt midden in het dorp en de buitenruimte rond de woning biedt geen privacy. Over het geheel genomen hebben we een prima vakantie gehad.

Sehr schönes gemütliches Ferienhaus am Bach direkt im Zentrum eines kleinen ruhigen idyllischen Dorfes. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Wir vermissten nur ein paar Haken im oberen Bad um die Handtücher aufzuhängen.

Luxurious cottage, beautiful location

Lovely 4 bedroom cottage with comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms, top-class plumbing, great American fridge. The location was beautiful in a small village, next to a stream and a beautiful church with stunning views of the mountains/forests.Lots of great walks nearby. It was a very clean property (professional cleaning included as part of the very reasonable price). Despite the village the location is very isolated as no shops in this village and only 2 in the next (butchers and a bakers - a drive away). There is a restaurant in this village which we didn't visit. Nearest supermarket is about 10 mins by car. We didn't actually meet the owners but they were very attentive and pleasant when we had a query about the dishwasher. The only thing I think people should be aware of with this property is that the garden and the hot tub are completely open. The houses are built close to each other and there is no screening between the front and back garden and the roads in the village or the house next door. When I first arrived I thought that this would put me off using the hot tub but it didn't as the village is quiet at night apart from some dog walkers and I quite enjoyed the view from the hot tub. Not sure I would have gone in during the day with the cyclists and the ramblers. I did worry that it would upset the neighbours when we were in the hot tub at night so close to their windows (we were quiet) but they didn't complain and were always very friendly whenever we saw them so hopefully not. Overall I would thoroughly recommend and thank you for a lovely stay.

Agréable séjour dans une maison bien équipée

Nous venons de passer un très agréable séjour dans cette villa au coeur de Sewen. La villa est très bien équipée, salle de bain et cuisine très moderne et à jour. La terrasse est idéale du matin jusqu'au soir et le jacuzzi est un point avantageux :). Rien à remarquer. On reviendra certainement!

Séjour très agréable

Séjour très agréable la semaine de Noël. Belles prestations, maison très confortable au pied du ballon d Alsace. Beaucoup de ballades à pied au départ de la maison et repos bien mérité dans le jaccuzy ! Merci aux propriétaires pour les 2 sapins et les décors de Noel...

Schöner Urlaub

Sehr schönes Haus in zentraler Dorflage. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Einmaliger Metzger im Nachbarort (Don't miss Hubert). Tolle Wanderungen in der Umgebung. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit.

Très bonne location

Logement très propre, rénové récemment avec goût, incluant des éléments de confort inconnus jusqu'à présent : frigo américain, spa, douche à jets. C'était un plaisir de voir de près les canards et les truites dans la rivière au pied du logement. Les bémols : internet a été en panne pendant toute la durée du séjour, donc pas de télévision non plus (d'ailleurs on n'aurait pas pu la regarder car il n'y a pas de poste dans le séjour, mais on n'était pas là pour cela) ; le logement est au centre du village, légèrement au-dessous des rues avoisinantes, ce qui ne favorise pas l'intimité.

Perfect place to stay

We had some really nice days in this cottage and not only enjoyed the location, but also the surrounding and the nice weather. In case of barbecue do not miss the Boucherie Hubert in Oberbruck. Enjoyed a wonderful boeuf cotes from there...

Formidable, endroit ZEN.

très jolie maison , tout confort. Cuisine suréquipée.Vaste salle de bain, grandes chambres. Nous sommes une famille de 7 personnes et nous avons passés un super nouvel an dans cette jolie maison. N'oublions pas le jaccuzi qui a ravi petits et grands. L'endroit est sublime, les promenades, les villages pittoresques...Que du BONHEUR. Nous y retournerons !

Perfect autumn family vacation – Thank you

We had a wonderful time at La Doller villa for a period of 12 days in October. The house became our home, it was comfortable, warm and with full privet. The house and its contents were kept clean and in new condition. Secure off-street parking kept our hire car safe, and broadband internet kept us in touch. A short drive out of town and you can be in a French medieval village or in the Black Forest. We had made allot of trips in those areas. The house was very spacious, with a full equipped kitchen for our dinner lunch. There were also washing machine and dryer that facilitated the long staying. Wonderful little stream flowing near the house. We would certainly return! I hope it is very soon. The owner; and a Neighbor were extremely kind and helpful and I would recommend and strongly encourage others to stay here in this beautiful France town.

Une maison magnifique au bord de l'eau

Surprenant et fascinant à la fois.....Un endroit de rêve que nous avons découvert enneigé durant les vacances de Noël...Le calme, les belles promenades, les pistes de ski et la joie du ski de fond....vraiment tout pour passer d'inoubliables vacances en famille. Maison très accueillante, super équipée et aménagée avec goût....! Que du bonheur.....!
