About Nadia Pieters-Gay
We fell in love with this house in 2000. It looked as a jewel among the Nature, far from the crowd but however not too far from the Coast ! We thought it would be a perfect residence for our holidays. In fact, we love it so much that every year we spend our holidays working hard to improve it, and make it more and more comfortable and beautiful.... So, over the last years, we only rested some minutes in our blue sun beds !!! but we are so happy with the changes we have made ourselves in our villa. .
Nadia Pieters-Gay purchased this Villa in 2000
Why Nadia Pieters-Gay chose Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey
When we happened to book a villa for our holidays , we were often disappointed by the minimum services offered, by a lack of hospitality, and by a 'standard' decoration with no harmony. So, we have tried to offer to our visitors exactly the opposite : hospitality, services, harmony, and friendly contacts. In other words, we want that our visitors feel at home, in their own house for a while, with everything they may need.
What makes this Villa unique
We are therefore quite happy to share our beautiful 'Bastide Saint Philippe' with many families, who appreciate our efforts, and spend peaceful holidays in our beloved Bastide. As they feel so well, they take great care of our house, and this is our reward. Welcome to you !

Ab fab holiday
Fantastic property in the hills. Fantastic base for driving the mountais surrounding it. Only downside was about 25 mins walk to nearest town along busy road with only a cycle path so not ideal. Did not stop us having a great time as pool, tennis courts , table tennis, bikes and french boules well used
Perfect for our family
A very nice house and well designed garden with a lovely pool area. The villa was well equipped for whatever you would be in need of, and the garden had areas for several activities or relaxation.
We were 7 adults and 4 children including 1 baby, and we had a wonderful active and relaxing holiday here.
A little piece of heaven
We spent the most wonderful week in Bastide St Philippe. The villa was perfect for our group, we had everything we needed and more. The grounds were lovely and we made the most of the pool in the sunshine.
We’d love to come back again soon. A bientot x
Great for family with childrens
Charming, beautifully decorated and set in gorgeous tranquil location
The property was very spacious, safe, secure had everything you would need with loads of facilities, absolutely as described. Above all though it was charming, beautifully decorated and set in gorgeous tranquil location on the edge of a quintessential provisional town, that has all the amenities you would want. Thoroughly recommended with the bonus of a full set of instructions for everything! Perfect for the annual family get together. The only negative was we were missing a few large sun umbrellas on our visit, however the owners said they broke in a storm prior to our visit and were due to be replaced.
Fantastic unique fun family holiday villa
La Bastide accommodation is very special - it has everything, and I mean everything, a family group could possibly want. It looks exactly as the pictures show, and is full of interesting deco touches making it pretty unique in a fun way. We went with our son, his wife and their 1 year old who had an absolute ball. The gardens are perfect in size and character with all-day sunshine and canopies for shade. The heated pool is to die for and deep enough to dive in at one end. It was like being in our own hotel. Fully equipped with all manner of gadgets to make whatever you want to eat, and a wonderful BBQ as seen in the pictures. At 3km, Its just too far to walk to the village centre and back with a buggy but theres plenty of easy parking in what is a really cute place with all the usual French local essentials - cafe/restaurant/bars, boulangerie, boucherie, intermarche and little Friday market all set in a valley surrounded by the hills of les Alpes Maritimes. Its around 15 minutes from Grasse which is a lovely town with winding streets and plenty of eateries! It's also the perfume manufacturing centre of the nation. But the loveliest place to visit is nearby Cabris, 10 minutes drive along winding roads from La Bastide, the village has the most beautiful view over the valley all the way to Cannes, and a michelin-listed restaurant which should be michelin-starred it was that good. Back to the villa, being single storey is a great advantage - no stairs obviously, and the bedrooms are nice and cool - stone walls, and dark when shutters are closed at night. There are two well appointed bathrooms, one has a freestanding spa shower, the other has a bath and shower over it. Both have WCs, and there is a separate 3rd WC. Just one thing to be aware of, the drainage method is via a distant sceptic tank, and you will need to get your head around the loo paper thing. (ask me!), but everything works really well. Nadia the owner is super-friendly and efficient, and there are lots of helpful written tips to help guests navigate the villa and its contents. You will not be disappointed if you choose this stay, and we would definitely go again.
You are really a lovely visitor ! It was a pleasure for us to have you and your family in our villa :
- You communicate,
- you read the messages I sent you, (although my English may be not easy to understand ! ) .
- you thank us for the welcome basket , offered when you arrived (approximately 10 % of our visitors said "thank you" for the basket nowadays, and sometimes I wonder whether it's worth to go on with this welcome basket)
- you have let our villa in perfect condition
- you take time to write a review when you are back home !!!
If all visitors could be as you are, it would be "paradise above blue sky."
Many thanks again and be sure that if you happen to come back, I will propose to you special friendly rental conditions !
