This house is situated in an exceptionally unique location. Surrounded by pine trees and next to a lake, it is both quiet and pleasant. The village is centred in a triangle of three of the most representative cities in Spain: Toledo, Avila and Madrid. The house is an original A-frame structure, and has won an international architecture design award. Its structure creates light and open plan spaces, as well as incredible views of the surrounding countryside, mountains and the lake. It has a 1500m2 private garden with private swimming pool, a large terrace with BBQ and direct access via stairs to the swimming pool. The village of San Martin de Valdeiglesias is just 5km away with all its amenities and facilities: supermarkets, chemists, restaurants, banks, medical centre, sports centre (tennis, pool, running track etc), internet, cinema etc.

Een echte aanrader. Ruim 1 uur buiten de drukte van Madrid is dit echt tot rust komen. Een auto huren is dan ook een aanrader. Prima contact met de eigenaar kunnen onderhouden. Het huis biedt alle benodigde luxe. Heerlijk!

Een heerlijk relaxte week gehad. Ondanks de enorme hoeveelheid regen in het begin (DANA) genoten van ons verblijf en plezier gehad op het meer. Een extra pluim voor de tuinman die het zwembad weer netjes heeft verzorgd na de modderstroom.

Perfekter Familienurlaub

Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommende Menschen und waren immer da, wenn wir fragen hatten. Das haushalt eine unglaublich schöne Lage, mitten in der Natur und man hat einen herrlichen Blick auf den Stausee. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber die schöne Terrasse und de Pool haben es wieder wettgemacht. Sehr zu empfehlen. Es war sicher nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt!

Long weekend family break

My husband and I and our daughter and son-in-law traveled from Sheffield, England to spend a long weekend with one of our sons who lives in Madrid with his fiancé and their dog. This location was perfect for running, walking and spotting wildlife in a spectacular natural setting. We six adults (and dog) were very comfortable and enjoyed eating our meals on the terrace, having a BBQ and enjoyed having a fire in the fireplace on our last evening. The house design is amazing - what a treat to stay here! The house has obviously been designed to blend into the natural setting and allow the natural light to flow through the house and bring the outside in. There are side windows (with cleverly shaped shutters for privacy) that line up to allow light and the view of the garden and nearby lake and mountains to flow from the front through to the back of the house. A spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine level which has a seating area and another bedroom. We all found the design of the house fun and exciting to stay in. And if you are interested in architecture don't pass up the opportunity to stay here. The house is set in very large grounds with an abundance of trees and shrubs (and huge boulders!) promising great beauty later in the spring and summer. There are some scented shrubs already in blossom near the entrances. (and a large swimming pool for later in the year!) On three different occasions over the weekend we spotted from the terrace what we think may have been Iberian Imperial eagles circling overhead. And then a seaplane flew back and forth along the lake. We also spotted a red squirrel. And there is a house martin's nest! San Martin de Valdeiglesias is lovely and we used the Carrefour and Mercadona supermarkets. El Bosque Encantado overlooking San Martin is a very cleverly designed and entertaining botanical garden worth a visit. This is a fantastic place to stay. It is very comfortable and well equipped. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. We highly recommend it and we hope we get a chance to stay again. Susie and Keith Sheffield England 25-28 March 2022

We had an amazing time at casa salamandra. It is in a secluded location with an amazing view and surroundings. The host was very helpful and friendly. Lots of extras to enjoy an amazing weekend away.

Descansar y disfrutar en familia

Es la segunda vez que vamos. La casa y el enclave son preciosos. Valoramos también la organización de los espacios tanto interiores como exteriores, la buena comunicación y predisposición de los propietarios, y la tranquilidad de la zona. Fuimos con una niña y dos perros pequeños, y aunque hay escaleras (y hay que estar atentos) también hay un circuito que puede evitarlas y se mueven con libertad y seguridad. Volvimos y volveremos.

Una semana de lo más agradable.

Hemos estado 4 personas, 1 bebé y 2 perros muy bien, la casa tiene un buen tamaño y la parcela está muy bien cuidada. Perfecta combinación de cocina-salón-comedor-terraza, la piscina bien situada en relación a las horas de sol para el máximo mo disfrute.

Ein tolles verlängertes Wochenende

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Objekt liegt landschaftlich toll zwischen kleineren Bergen und einem Fluss mit ortseigenem Strand. Die Straße zwischen dem Objekt und dem Hauptort ist für deutsche Verhältnisse etwas abenteuerlich, aber das schmälert den Gesamteindruck hat nicht. Das Objekt hat alles was man benötigt, wenn es auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Ein toll angelegter Garten mit vielen Sitz- und Essmöglichkeiten, ein erfrischender Pool, schöne Küche und Bäder. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können das Haus und die sehr sehr netten Vermieter nur empfehlen. Ca. 60 bis 90 Minuten von Madrid, je nachdem wo man dort hin möchte entfernt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt Frau Holtman😊

Belle destination

Très bel endroit, belle vue dans un cadre très vert. L'extérieur est le point fort de la maison. La piscine très agréable. Petit bémol quant au ménage. Il laisse un peu à désirer. Nous n'avons pas vu les propriétaires mais ils étaient toujours disponibles par gsm si nécessaires et de bons conseils. Destination recommandée et à moins d'une heure de Madrid.
