About this property

The Four Angels - Massa, Tuscany

A charming country house in the hills just above Massa. Immersed in chestnut forests and surrounded by magnificent mountain and sea views. Only 5 minutes' drive to Massa centre (10 minutes by bus) and 15 minutes to the beaches. At 300 m above sea level, with a lovely garden, the place is cool in the summer heat, but warm during the winter.

If you would like to enjoy sunny beach life during the day and cool mountain breeze back at home in the evening, our holiday home is just right for you. The Province of Massa-Carrara is situated on the border with Liguria. From our holiday home, you can explore Tuscan popular sightseeing spots like Firenze, Pisa, Lucca and even enjoy Lerici, Portovenere and Cinque Terre in a day trip.
This holiday home is also great staging post for mountain climbers, mountain bike enthusiasts and hikers who love forest trails and walks. Plenty of nature to see and a lovely stream to cool off in is nearby.

This holiday home is developed over two floors. The first floor has a terrace and kitchen. Upstairs in an open plan style, one finds a spacious double bed, and a comfortable sofa which folds into a double bed in the lounge. It is all one large room upstairs(no doors in between). Bathroom is located just beside the lounge. It's small but functional. Very bright with a ceiling window.

Ideal for couples, even with max 2 small children, or 4 adults who do not mind sharing the one large room upstairs(Please note that there's no wall/door between the bedroom and the lounge).

Wonderful

Kieko's house was one of the lovliest places we have ever been to. The little fairy tale house was equipped with everything you need, very clean, cosy and has a wonderful view on the sea. Kieko was so helpful and friendly!

a really lovely place ...

... and Kieko is such a wonderful and kind host. Her accomodation lies between the Alpi Apuane and the sea in a small village over Masse and is well equipped with everthing you need for a stressless and comfortable holiday. From the bed(room) you have a beautiful view over Massa and nearby you can have delicious Pizza when you don't want to cook on your own. We can highly recommend this beautiful small flat for 2 persons to enjoy holidays near the sea, near the mountains and near typical tuscan cities.

A little heaven in the apian alps

My sister and me found this place absolutely perfect for a getaway in Tuscany. Kieko is a perfect hostess and leaves nothing to chance. She provides an exceptional service and it's available way before and after your stay here. Only our time was way to short - more than enough reason to return soon! If you are a respectful pressing and not looking for a very spacious place, this one is more than perfect, highly recommend :)

Very quaint; beautiful view of Med from bedroom; lovely hosts!

We enjoyed a wonderful 4-day stay in this quaint home; Cristiano and Kieko were super hosts and welcomed us with a supply of yummy snacks and drinks, made a reservation for us at the favourite and busy pizzeria, and even drove us around a little to acquaint is with some hiking trails and swimming spots. The home is well equipped with laundry machine, two comfortable beds and a lovely outside terrace for two. Everything worked and the hosts were attentive to every need and made us feel extremely welcomed. A car is definitely needed to access the home about 10 minutes above Massa. This home made a perfect launching ground to visit the Cinque Terra towns, and we took the 30-minute drive to La Spezia to begin our Cinque Terra tour on boat for the day. We also visited the working marble quarry above Carrara, swam in the River Frigido (aptly named) with its marble beds, and hiked along the ridge of the Gothic Line of WWII for a spectacular view of the Mediterranean. We highly recommend this place as an affordable and quaint space a speck off the beaten path. Thanks, Cristiano and Kieko (and friendly dog, Gina)! Joel, Kelley, Aidan, and Hannah (Victoria, BC)

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung in Massa

Eine schöne, gemütliche und liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, in der es alles gibt, was man braucht. Die Vermieterin ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Bei der Anreise gab es sogar Getränke im Kühlschrank und Toast, Obst und Müsli für ein Frühstück. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit sehr genossen.

Idyllische Wohnung in angehmen Ambiente

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage außerhalb von Massa. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Alles ist in der Wohnung vorhanden inklusive Snacks und eine Beschreibung der Geräte und der Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung. Unterm Strich…sehr empfehlenswert😊!

Kieko ist die Beste und zuvorkommendste Gastgeberin die wir je erlebt haben.Das Ferienhaus ist komplett ausgestattet,es fehlt an nichts.Frisches Obst Käse Salami Toast Gebäck Bier Wein Wasser Saft ,alles zur Begrüßung vorhanden.Von Kieko aus haben wir viele Touren unternommen. La Spezia Viareggio Pisa Florenz u.s.w.Ebenso kann man die Strandabschnitte in Massa oder der Umgebung genießen.

Unfassbar schön und tolle Gastgeberin

Wir waren nach 7 jahren Arbeit ohne größere Urlaube auf der Suche nach einem abgeschiedenen Ort, um zu entspannen und die Natur zu genießen. Die Wohnung ist an Charme nicht mehr zu überbieten. Unsere Gastgeberin Kieko hat alles getan, damit der Aufenthalt angenehm ist. Wir wurden sogar mit angezündeten Kerzen überrascht, als wir von der örtlichen Pizzeria (sehr toller Ort mit toskanischen Spezialitäten) kamen. Alles ist genau so schön, wie auf den Fotos. Empfehlungen außer der Pizzeria: der Orto Botanico mit Führung zum Gipfel und die örtliche Bar mit tollem Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang in der Bucht von Massa! Ein sehr schöner Platz in einem kleinen Bergdorf in den apuanischen Alpen! Wir überlegen, nächstes Jahr wieder zu kommen.

Schönes Häuschen in den Bergen

Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden. Es wurde für uns eingekauft, sogar mit einer frisch geschnittenen Melone wurden wir überrascht. Das Haus was klein, aber alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wunderschöne, erholsame Tage in traumhafter Umgebung und einer sehr fürsorglichen Gastgeberin!

Das Haus ist klein und fein, sehr sauber und es hat alles was es auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Die Aussicht vom Schlafzimmer aus ist traumhaft und von der Terrasse in den Garten von Kieko ebenfalls. Alles ist liebevoll arrangiert und man sieht sofort auf den ersten Blick, dass hier jemand mit viel Liebe zur Natur gestaltet. Besonders wussten wir zu schätzen, dass Kieko uns den ersten Einkauf abnahm. So konnten wir einfach ankommen und genießen. Das haben wir so noch nie erlebt. Die kleine Pizzaria im Ort ist super lecker und ist eigentlich jeden Tag gut besucht, also am besten reservieren. Kieko kümmert sich auch darum gerne. Das Meer ist in ca. 20 Minuten gut erreichbar und auch dort haben wir nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Der Strand und das Meer sind sehr sauber und in den kleinen Restaurants am Strand kann man zudem gut und preisgünstig mittags essen. Alles in allem wurden wir in Masse nur freundlich empfangen und fanden alles was wir für einen perfekten Urlaub gebraucht haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein ganz bezauberndes Plätzchen

Kieko ist eine super fürsorgliche und herzliche und gleichzeitig zurückhaltende Gastgeberin. Auch für uns gab es diverse Speisen und Getränke bei unserer Ankunft. Das Haus und der Garten sind liebevoll eingerichtet, die Fotos geben absolut die Realität wieder. Alles ist sehr sauber und wir haben nichts vermisst. Besonders schön war, dass Kieko uns abends mit Kerzenlicht auf der Terrasse überrascht hat. So romantisch! Wir hatten eine perfekte Woche und hoffen, wiederzukommen. The Four Angels können wir wärmstens empfehlen!

Familienurlaub August 2019

Sehr gemütliches kleines & voll ausgestattetes Häuschen wie beschrieben, schön gelegen in den Bergen oberhalb von Massa. "Toskanisches Flair pur!!!" Die Gastgeberin Kieko (5*****) ist überaus freundlich & sehr bemüht dass jeder seinen Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen kann. Bei der Ankunft war den Kühlschrank gefüllt mit Schinken, Salami, Käse, Milch, Jughurt, Butter, Bier, Wein sowie Cola. Toast, Kaffee, Tee gefüllte Hörnchen Marmelade, Obstkorb usw. war auch bereits vorhanden. Mit 2 Erwachsenen + Kind + Hund ist das Esszimmer im EG ein bisschen eng aber in Verbindung mit dem kleinen Balkon ausreichend. Leider gibt es für die "Kleinen" keinen wirklichen Garten, also mit Wiese zum spielen. Wir hatten einen super schönen Sommerurlaub & werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Eine Super Woche in der Toskana!

Dank Kieko's super Gastfreundschaft und ihrer so liebevoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung durften wir eine aussergewöhnlich schöne Ferienwoche in Massa und Umgebung geniessen. Wir können diese Oase allen, die ein paar Tage weg vom Rummel und doch nah am Geschehen suchen, wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist alles so oder noch besser wie beschrieben. Kieko lässt keine Wünsche offen. Eine Ruheoase in den Bergen und nahe Meer

Kiekos Wohnung ist sehr schön, super sauber , total gut ausgestattet und herrlich mit Garten und Terrasse. Kieko ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin, am Anreisetag überraschte sie uns mit Obst, Wein+Bier, verschiedenen Lebensmittel für unser Frühstück, u.a. liebevoll angerichtete Dinge. Kieko ist sehr warmherzig und freundlich und war jederzeit für uns erreichbar. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub!

Wunderschöner Urlaub in der Toscana

Ein toller Urlaub in einer romantischen liebevoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung mit wunderschöner Aussicht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die aufmerksame, liebenswürdige Gastgeberin Kieko. Die Ferienwohnung war wie beschrieben, und für die Erstausstattung bei Anreise ist bestens gesorgt. Obstkorb, kalte Getränke und Essen im Kühlschrank inbegriffen. Bei der Anreise mit dem Auto nicht bis zum Ende dem Navi vertrauen, besser sich mit Kieko an der Pizzeria Tomaso verabreden! Gerne wieder!!!!

Incredibly beautiful setting, charming decor with all desirable accessories and clean

The holiday home contains everything imaginable for a holiday in Tuscany. You are completely relaxed in the guest's Kieko's incredible helpfulness and her attentive being. Upon arrival at the holiday home we were greeted by a full fridge with delicious food. It was incredibly helpful when we arrived very late in the evening without the opportunity to shop. The holiday home is smaller, yet suitable for a family of 3-4 people. The kitchen contains everything desirable, the bathroom is small but new and the sleeping areas are good. The terrace is wonderful to sit on and enjoy the breakfast or evening sun. It takes about 20 min by car to get to the beach and to Massa center and the location up in the mountains makes it an idyllic experience. We had a base in the holiday home for a week and on trips to Florence, Pisa and Lucca.

Wonderful cozy place that feels very personal and provides everything we needed. Fantastic host!

Kieko’s house is a very charming place that is perfect for a 2-people stay. We only stayed 2 nights but wish we would have stayed longer. The apartment is lovely and has everything you need - in a small but very well designed and cute space. Kieko even prepared some food for us and filled the fridge with food and wine. The terrace is lovely, and views from the bedroom and the terrace are spectacular. The pizzeria in town is very good and the beach can be reached in 20min. Kieko’s place provided us with a much needed escape (and shade) from the hot air down in the city. Kieko’s warm personality made us directly feel at home. We could not have asked for a greater host!

Einfach nur traumhaft!

Das kleine Häuschen im toskanischen Stil erscheint wie ein verzaubertes Schloss in den Bergen. Eingebettet in einen wunderschön angelegten Garten und Bäumen ist das Haus ein absolutes Traumdomizil für alle, die einmal toskanisches Flair erleben möchten. Kieko ist einfach nur zauberhaft! Mit viel Liebe zum Detail hat sie eine tolle Ruheoase, mitten in den toskanischen Bergen mit Blick auf das Meer, geschaffen. Egal was es ist, Kieko versucht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen und ist jederzeit erreichbar, wenn man Hilfe benötigt. Unser Urlaub mit einem kleinen Hund war unvergesslich!

Fantastisk værtinde. Hyggelig og komfortabel ferielejlighed i skønne rolige omgivelser

Vi havde et super skønt ophold i Kieko's feriebolig. Lejligheden er rigtig hyggelig og velegnet til et romantisk getaway. Der er en fantastisk udsigt fra soveværelset. Og en hyggelig terrasse hvor alle måltider kan nydes. Lejligheden er fint udstyret og der er tænkt på det hele ift hvad du kan have brug for. Kieko er en sød og betænksom værtinde.
