I contacted the host and asked if check in was available for the middle of the the night and was told it was. Me and my two daughters drove down after their track meet and arrived around 1:30 AM. When I clicked on the email titled -Here are the keys to your trip and clicked on the blue box, access your rental, I discovered there was no code provided for the lockbox. I attempted to message and call the manager, but no one answered. I called VRBO and they were unable to help, as no code was listed in their system. So at what is now 2:30 in the morning, my daughters and I are exhausted and sitting in the mountains with no place to sleep. We had to go to serveral hotels before we finally found a place (at 3:15 AM). We paid for the cabin THEN had to pay an additional 116.14, just to sleep for 6 hours. When I called the manager the next morning she was very rude and informed me that I was supposed to call her for the code before 9 PM, as they shut off their phones at that time. NOWHERE in our communications was the EVER stated. I don't know how someone can rent homes out and not allow people to contact them when there is a problem. Other than check in everything else was wonderful!!! The property was adorable, clean, and very cozy. The location was perfect and we loved it, once we were able to get in...
This cabin definitely exceeded my expectations, the hot tub was the best part. It was very clean and spacious, i was able to cook a full meal and use the bbq pit with ease, would definitely book again
Had a nice visit in the Gatlinburg area and this cabin was the perfect place to stay. It’s right in the area of local artisan shops so it is so convenient to visit the locals rather than the commercialized shops.
Nice for a couple.
This is our second time staying at this property
Could have been a little better maintained
Tub didn’t drain well and tub surrounding held water - assuming it’s the “housekeeper” not informing the owner what is needed to be done
We like this cabin very much right size and good location for us plus it is pet friendly
My husband and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend….while Gatlinburg was super busy we had a great location with small little restaurants to enjoy. Perfect location and even got to see a bear!
We were very please with the amenities, the decoration, the environment of the cabin. The only issue was the cleaning of it. I have no words to explain how the dust was in that cabin, that you could tell that the dust was a cumulated for weeks before. It were dog hair all over the floor, and even on the linen. My allergies went up those days since I suffer from allergies of the dust etc. I called Crystal the person who was in charge of the cleaning staff and she was very nice and attentive, she told me that she would send someone. Finally, no one appeared. I loved Tennessee and for sure I’ll go again and again but no to that cabin, just for the dirtiness.
We arrived to a trash bag sitting in the middle of the kitchen. The floors were filthy and not touched by housekeeping. What else was dirty or uncleaned? The hot tub was bone dry empty and inoperable. While the host was willing to give a refund, she was rude and short. No apology! It's not like there's an abundance of properties to pick from on a moment's notice when you arrive from out of town. We put a lot of time and consideration into picking a property for our romantic weekend. Our inconvenience was of no concern of hers.
We had a wonderful time! We had dogs with us and they had plenty of room outside, of course crated inside when we weren't there. I definitely recommend this rental and will be using again in the future.
This was our second stay here and it was really good
The only issue was a squeaky toilet and a noisy refrigerator
The one request I have is to have printed directions about using the TV’s
We enjoyed our stay here ..... after we checked in to a cabin that had not been cleaned. Contacted the owners and the cleaner was there within an hour.
There were several light bulbs that were burnt out in a couple of rooms, made it a bit dim but was OK.
The backyard area was a haven for mosquitos. We were going to try and use the hot tub but that was out of the question. I feel like it is because the little area is all mulch and seemed to stay damp.
With the negative being said.....The place was a beautiful little place. It is located in an area that you can get back and forth to different areas of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg without the hassles of the main road through town. It is a couple of blocks from a group of shops of local artisans that is a definite stop.
The owners are always easy to reach and super polite and accommodating. We really enjoyed our visit here!!
We did enjoy our stay, but the toilet whistled when flushed which is especially annoying at night, we could not get internet and there was a good bit of dog hair collecting under the recliner which you couldn't really see until you lifted the footrest.... Also the shower leaves water puddled around the perimeter. It suited us okay as a little get away, was quiet and met our needs otherwise.
Photos online not same as in rental such as different bed, and poorly remodeled bathroom. Floors were dirty and our socks were dirty when walking around. Had to track down property manager to get key code, as it wasn’t readily sent to us for checkin. Outside hot tub wasn’t working as well as no outside light working to illuminate the hot tub area. Closet door broken and off track. Wi-Fi stopped working. We tried to contact the property manager about these things, and they never replied. This was our first experience using Vrbo, and we are very disappointed and are not likely to use VRBO again, and definitely will not stay at this rental again. We are very disappointed in the communication between the property manager when we tried to contact about the things that were wrong with the rental and have yet to even hear back from them. Defiantly a thumbs down.
The location of the cabin was 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the national park, about 15-20 mins from Pigeon Forge, perfect for everything we had planned for our trip. The cleanliness of the cabin could have been a little better, the cleaning crew was there when we got there an hour after check in time. The shower pressure and shower head weren’t the best, minor upgrades would make the shower much more enjoyable. Overall it was a good experience, nice cabin and amazing location.
We were there for a showcase so we didn’t spend a lot of time in the house. It worked great for what we needed! Close to the sports complex, quiet enough to rest, and a few places to eat nearby.
