Villa Parthenope, a 17th-century villa, has been recently renovated with care and tastefully decorated. It perches in a peaceful and quiet spot, yet is centrally located in Positano. Hospitality is offered in a pleasant apartment, Casa Leucosia, on the ground floor down about 30 steps from the road.
The apartment is independent and allows privacy. One of the great advantages of the villa is that a car is not required. The apartment is located a 5-minute walk uphill from the celebrated chic boutiques, restaurants and bars of Positano. Fifteen minutes walk downhill takes the visitor to the main beach.
Casa Leucosia (sleeps 4) has an entrance leading into the large living/dining room, which is furnished in a charming style with white-washed walls, terra cotta tiled floors, wooden table and chairs, comfortable sofa, air conditioning, WiFi, TV LCD and 2 French windows opening onto the balcony, which runs the length of the apartment and faces a truly picture-perfect view of the sea and Positano. The kitchen is cheerful, compact and efficient, with refrigerator, stove with 3 gas burners, oven and microwave oven. There is a separate powder room with washing machine. The upper level (10 steps) has 2 double bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, each with en suite bathroom (both with shower).
Another great advantage of Casa Leucosia: private stairs which, through the garden, lead directly to the beach in less than 5 minutes.

Maria, the manager, is a living angel. I had a severe GI episode and called Maria simply to see if she had a preference for a hospital. She said she would call me back. She called around, found a Dr. that would see me after hours and then drove me there. I now call her, “Maria Angelica”! The unit is in the best neighborhood, everything is close and it is very clean.

Perfect location to enjoy all of Positano

We had a wonderful week-long stay in July. The villa is clean and well equipped. Location couldn't be better, as you are right on the main road to walk to restaurants, and have a private stairway down to the main beach.

Post-graduation girls’ trip!

10/10 would recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting Positano! The location was perfect- it was steps away from city center which made it easy for us to take daily trips to the grocery store and shops. Communication with the hosts was excellent! We appreciated the ease of setting up transportation to and from the VRBO. We had an amazing time and we feel so lucky we got to stay at this property. It was truly the best decision! We wanted for nothing except more time spent there!

Fantastic Stay in Positano

My wife and I and our two teenage children just returned from a wonderful stay at this home in Positano. The apartment was divided between a living area, small kitchen, and half bath downstairs, and two nice sized bedrooms and full baths up. It was not luxurious, but comfortable and well suited for our family. There was a lovely terrace with chairs and a table overlooking the town and out to sea. The WiFi service was seamless and the location next to Le Sireneuse Hotel could not be beat. A private path with a five minute walk led down to the beach and restaurants. There were banks and small shops within about a five minute walk down the upper street. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and the local representative Maria kindly organized several car trips for us. We look forward to a return visit!

Wonderful place and host

Our family of four loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. Marco was the perfect host and provided lots of wonderful information about the area. He even gave us a ride to the train station at the end of our visit. We see him as a future lifetime friend. Maria was also very helpful and kind. Positano is a dream and so is this place.

Fantastic!

What a great location, great view and amazing place to stay. I am putting it out to my friends who visit Positano to look stay there! The private staircase down to the beach didn't seem like a shortcut the 1st day, but it sure did on the eighth day!..lol. Highly recommend!

Lovely villa in Positano

The property was beautiful, with a large deck that was private but overlooking the town. I can't say enough about how beautiful it was. So much more space than a hotel. Check in was easy, Maria Delores was so sweet and knowledgeable about the area. We cooked some of our meals in the kitchen and it had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was also very easy, and we had no issues. Highly recommend!

The villa was exactly as described. Clean, great help from the manager and beautiful views. It's low enough for a reasonable walk to the port/beach but high enough for easy access to the central town. Positano is a beautiful city with friendly people. You do need some energy as the traveling around requires climbing many stairs or winding up switchback roads. Highly recommended.

Amazing View!

This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a great location and a beautiful view. Every morning we would make our coffee and sit on the deck to watch the sea. So relaxing! A small grocery store is nearby to get your food items and great restaurants nearby. Lemon and apricot trees in the backyard. Pietro, Marco and Maria were gracious hosts and very responsive. Casa Leaucosia had everything we needed but I might bring a fan next time as it can get quite warm in late afternoon.

Great Location!!

The property was spotless and comfortable. Our only complaint is that the apartment is listed as 2 bath but only one shower was usable. The shower attached to the twin bedroom flooded the entire bathroom. The property manager said she was aware that it had some problems. We wouldn’t have booked this apartment if we had known about the shower issue .

Lovely & clean apartment with an iconic view of Positano!

Positive experience in Casa Leucosia in the heart of Positano. Aparment is clean, quiet & cozy. Nice and bright sitting room and a terrace with an iconic view of Positano (same view as you would get if you stay in famous Le Sirenuse hotel for €1000 a night) . Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed good sleep quality. As there were no windows in the bed rooms, it was difficult to wake up early in the morning :) Host Pierpaolo and apartment maid Ana Maria were very pleasant and welcoming. To get to the property I would recommend taking a boat from Naples port. We arrived by bus and except for the beautiful views it was a very long and tiring journey with all the twists and turns, narrow roads and traffic. However we had a lovely and smooth journey back to Naples at the end of our stay. We took boat Positano - Sorrento - Napoli port and then taxi to the airport and it was very pleasant. We were planing to rent a car in Positano but it was not necessary as the traffic on the island was horrendous, worse than in London at times and from what I have seen it is a waste of the precious time sitting in traffic. We went by road to Amalfi which is nearby and we were disappointed how long it took so we took a boat back after the visit. We were very happy with the boat services and visited Capri and Sorrento and Napoli. Hope to visit an island of Ischia and Ravello on our next trip to Positano. Very expensive everywhere on the Amalfi Coast but it was worth it and I highly recommend to experience it for yourselves.

Perfect location with amazing views in a comfortable Positano apartment

The whole process was very easy and Pierpaolo was extremely responsive and even arranged for transportation for us from Naples with very short notice. The apartment was lovely and it was spotless when we arrived. Sitting on the long terrace with the amazing views of both the sea and the town was an unforgettable experience. I would say the only thing that detracted from a perfect experience was the shower - very small and almost impossible to use without flooding the area around it. It is a small detail though, and we highly recommend this property. Thank you!

Perfect Place to Stay in Positano

Casa Leucosia was the perfect place to stay in Positano. The location is great - overlooking The Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the sea and the Positano hillside, with easy access to everything. The accommodations were lovely and functional. The property manager was extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions, driver contact info and local tour information. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly to others!

Perfect location

A10 for location, terrace, the villa overall. Very small kitchen that desperately needs a overhaul, great bathrooms (but bad showers). We would stay there again because of the amazing terrace…with the perfect view.
