Rental period : ALL YEAR ROUND
Charming house of the XVIIIth century in the historical part of the village.
In the heart of the LUBERON Regional Park, Rustrel is a typical Provencal village. The famous Colorado is located in our village.
The house is ideally located, as much for its calmness in front of the beautiful rounded shapes of the Monts de Vaucluse, as for its proximity (a few minutes of walk) with the places of life of the village - The Bakery - café - restaurant, the Epicerie des Fées, the Bistrot de la Place, the Auberge du Rustreou, the Post Office, the Playground for children and the Terrain de Boules. The municipal swimming pool is 5 minutes away on foot.
A small farmers' market operates on Wednesday evenings during the summer. Numerous artistic events take place throughout the village, all year round.
With a surface area of 110 m2, and built on 3 levels, the house is in the Provencal tradition with its beautiful ceilings and interior architecture. It is at the same time full of charm, comfortable and functional in all seasons. The Indian summer and autumn, the spring and the cherry blossoms, are particularly appreciated.
The house has two entrances:
- on the rue du Moulin à huile (the old calade that led to the mill), under the shelter of an arbour that overlooks the small mill yard.
- on the rue du Barry, i.e. the ramparts, those which protected the Castle of the village where our current Town Hall is located (www.mairie.rustrel.net).
When you exit the rue du Barry, there is only a very small street to cross to access the private areas that are the swimming pool and the terrace through a gate. A large table for 10 people welcomes you on the terrace and a summer kitchen allows you to have the necessary equipment on the spot.
The pool is entirely private, surrounded by greenery, with the surrounding hills in the distance.
There are many walks from the house: you can find details at the town hall of Rustrel, or at the tourist office of Apt.
Many topo-guides are available everywhere.
The GR passes through the village.
As for bicycle touring, it has developed a lot in the whole region.
Gordes, Lacoste or Bonnieux, Lourmarin, and so many other beautiful villages are within a 30 km radius.
You will find lively weekly markets in the area (Apt, Forcalquier, Sault, Coustellet, L'Isle sur la Sorgue...)
From Rustrel, you can easily travel to discover an exceptional heritage: the abbeys of Salagon, Sénanque and Sylvacane, Avignon and Aix en Provence which are one hour away by car, Marseille at 1h30, etc...
