Serene, sunny, renovated AIR CONDITIONED oceanfront condo in Central Kihei , renovated oceanfront condo has all the comforts of home and all the amenities of a vacation getaway. One bedroom KING SIZE BED/1 bath condo sleeps up to 4 persons. Sleeper queen sofa purchased July 2018 sleeps 2. Secure wireless internet access, 2 new cable large Flat Screen TVs, central A/C, and Parking Space.
Terrific location for the complex, centrally located between Lahaina, Wailea and Kahului airport. Azeka shopping area is close by for restaurants, shopping and sports stores.

The complex at Kauhale Makai' Villages by the Sea' offers a swimming pool, spa pool, kiddie pool, picnic area with gas-grill-BBQs, convenient and clean laundry facilities. It also has a putting green, volleyball court and shuffleboard. Tennis courts are next door to the complex. Great windsurfing is right off the beach from the complex. The lobby staff is helpful. Open Mon thru Sat from 10am to 4 pm and there is a night security staff.

The remolded kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is finished with Italian porcelain tile and all new fixtures. The bedroom has a high quality king-size bed, large TV, and a peaceful, romantic ambience. The living room has a new queen sofa sleeper . Watch the ocean, have breakfast or dinner on the lanai, stroll to the beach to watch the sun set over the Pacific.

This inviting ground floor unit is on the sunny, private, wind-protected south side of building, away from foot traffic, street and pool noise. Nice landscaping and partial view of the ocean from the lanai, easy access to your vehicle. Direct entry to the unit, no stairs or elevator, yet the location feels private and out of the way.

Home away from home

This place was perfect for my family. Being on the ground floor near was so convenient to take groceries in and out and the kids could play safely in the little backyard area right by the patio. This was in a great area in a central location close to the highway and a lot of good restaurants. The grounds is really nice as well with a pool, a little separate baby pool and a jacuzzi and is steps away from the beach. The place was well stocked with all the essentials and spices. The hosts were very responsive and nice. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Great location and great host for great vacation :)

The apartment is on the ground floor of a building, but in a few steps, you are at the beach for a morning walk. Great location to explore the entire island. Sherry is very supportive, great communication, a great host. All the family hopes to come back again!

Good condo, so-so neighborhood

Had a great 2 week stay, the condo was clean, well stocked kitchen, however there was no toilet paper at all when we arrived at 11:00pm. Eric, the property manager did get us some in the morning early the next morning. Other condos we’ve stayed at had a basic starter kit which included toilet paper, paper towels and some cleaning supplies. This did not spoil our experience here, they had a nice pool and barbecue areas, the grounds within the condo grounds were also well kept. The only things that we would have liked was a better location, the sidewalks in the general area of this condos location were poor and the beach was a bit of a walk through sometimes swampy grass. This however is not the fault of the condo owner. We would consider staying here again.

Maui Vacation

The location is pretty central to many experiences we enjoyed. It’s got a pool and jacuzzi, but also beach access. It was a quiet, enjoyable place to return to after being gone during the day. The condo had beach towels, chairs and a cooler which was so nice to have when exploring the different beaches. We enjoyed the different fresh fruits while in Maui and the condo even had knives that were sharp enough to process a pineapple!

Perfect Location

This is a cute apartment. It was very clean and perfect for a family of 4. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, pots and pans, seasonings. The fridge is clean and well maintained. The bathroom was clean with a powerful water pressure in the shower. There are two TV's with a great selection from Netflix, Roku etc. The location is on the first floor and a 3 minute walk to the beach. The place is close to everything in Kihei from Times Supermarket (the Poke destination), ABC store, restaurants, swapmeet, and local shops. Sherry and Roger notified us that the place was clean and ready. I would highly recommend this place as it is close to everything. Thank you!!! Mahalo🌺

Great unit, perfectly described!

Everything as described in the VRBO listing was accurate. Entry to the unit was easy, with a keyless pad on the door, the code provided well in advance. This is really the idea way to go with rentals. Parking was also easy, there were never any issues finding a spot. Since we discovered the nearby Kihei aquatic center, there wasn't a need for us to use the condo pool, which was pretty small (no laps possible) but would be great for families with little kids. Also we ate out for most meals other than breakfast, so the BBQ zone wasn't used by us but we did see others using it We did go to beaches several times and used the unit's umbrella, chairs, beach towels and boogie boards - this was a big bonus. The cooler was used daily. Wifi was fast, it was easy to upload photos and browse/plan outings. AC didn't take long to cool the unit down after being off during the day. We would definitely stay again, the location really is central to everything.

Perfect condo

We had no complaints with our stay in this condo. The AC blew cold, everything worked great. We loved that it was ground floor next to the parking lot for quick and easy loading/unloading every day. It’s a very short walk to the beach on the property, and in a great location for downtown Kihei (2 minutes away). Many beaches are a short drive away. The only complaints I saw about this property from other reviews, I can confirm. Yes, the toilet seat was a little loose, but didn’t bother us at all as was completely functional and clean. And yes, there were some bugs every now and then that we found in the condo, but this was actually a good sign. As we were on the ground floor with sliding glass patio doors, it makes sense that bugs would get it, but every bug we ever saw was dead. To us, that showed that they are taking great and effective measures for bug control. There wasn’t very many bugs that got in, and they were small and dead when we did find them. The bed was pretty comfy. There were plenty of kitchen appliances and tools. There were also many beach related items (umbrella, chairs, floats, ice chest, etc.). Couldn’t be happier, and would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay

We had a lovely stay. The condo was equipped with all that was needed for a nice vacation (beach chairs, towels, kitchen spices and even a deck of playing cards). It was located near grocery stores, restaurants and small shops. The back patio was nice and quiet. If you take a walk down to beach behind building, wear your shoes or sandals as the beach is rocky (but a nice sunset).

There are multiple light bulbs not working. The toilet seat is not properly attached to the toilet and moves all over. They use the cheapest, thinnest toilet paper money can buy. The air conditioning works when it wants to work. Finally, The cockroaches that were both dead and alive in the condo were unpleasant, however, the cockroach trap right underneath the main bedroom bed was awesome. Don't rent this place!

The unit was well maintained, had a very nice kitchen, and came complete with plenty of toys for enjoying the beach. It is a very short walk to the beach, and other beaches are a very short drive away. The unit is located in a very nicely maintained complex with a great pool area, BBQ, and outdoor shower. Owners were very responsive.

Right around everything!

Clean, very comfortable bed; kitchen very well equipped- even had some spices, oils and food wrapping paper. The walk to the actual beach was a bit challenging for my sister (who has COPD); also the beach that is directly behind the resort is very rocky and not a particularly “nice” beach for lounging. BUT there are great beaches very close by. The location is an easy drive in all directions for the many Maui things you will want to do. If you plan to cook meals in the condo, I STRONGLY suggest you do a bit of meal planning before you get to Maui. It’s not that hard to bag up 1 cup of rice vs buying a whole pound bag at the Hawaiian prices! Costco is right next to the airport )20 minutes away); main grocery store (Safeway) is about 2 miles away from the condo. The Mill house country store (about 12 min away) sells local fruits & veggies at verty reasonable prices. It’s also had a garden, zip lining and restaurant ($$$) on the property.

ROACH CONDO

We chose this condo because it had AC and the location in Kihei. The location was in a decent place and the condo had enough space for my wife and two boys and seemed to be pretty clean, that’s where the positives end. We arrived in Maui at around 11:30am on Friday, since we couldn’t check into the condo until 3pm per the reception email instructions we decided to go have lunch and pick up some items from Costco. Upon arrival at 3pm we checked the email from the owner and noticed that we never received the pin for access to our room – we messaged the owner through the VRBO app and didn’t receive a response, then called and the call went to voicemail. Owner didn’t get back to us until about after 5pm with the code to the condo, which wouldn’t been so bad if we didn’t have food from Costco in our car! I understand that people can get busy, but I don’t get why you would send us a reception email without the code to the condo. This was just the beginning of a very stressful trip. The first night in the condo I had to smash a roach in the bathroom while coming out of the shower. I didn’t think it was a big deal since I understand that we are on a tropical island and I know roaches live here. Shortly after, my wife was taking a bath, attempting to relax from our long travel day – a live roach jumped into the tub with her! All I heard was a scream and water sloshing around, I thought she slipped in the tub. We notified the condo owners and we were told that they would get someone out by possibly by Tuesday. The owners never followed back up with us letting us know if or what time their pest guy would show up, so we were left in limbo as far as knowing when this pest problem would be resolved. Tuesday at around 3-4am the AC shut off on it’s own and my wife and I woke up in a sweat. We thought maybe it was on a timer or something as it turned back on by itself around 10am. By Wednesday the roach kill count was up to 8 – we had another in the corner of our room and one was actually crawling around on our bed!!! The AC stopped completely at around 4:30pm and that lasted through the whole rest that day and all night. At this point we were fed up and I call the owners to find out if their pest guy ever came, since they never let us know from the initial request on the first day and also to let them know that now the AC is also not working. A great place to stay

Thanks for a great stay, it worked out perfectly for us. The beach supplies were much appreciated as its not practical to bring any of that with. If you are looking at various properties in Kihei this one is on the beach side of a busy road while many of the others were on the other side of the road, so to us that was a much better setup to just walk right down to the water on the same property. Mahalo.

We loved this place. Check-in instructions were great and we didn’t have to contact the owner at all. Everything was just so seem less. Only con was for me that it wasn’t ocean view or even partial ocean view as I had read.

Amazing Location & Accommodations!

The owners have really gone above and beyond with this amazing place. They have literally thought of anything and everything you could possibly need or want and have it all available for your use. I had a few questions before my arrival and just after and they were very helpful and responsive. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Maui. It is nice and central to everywhere you could possibly want to go and steps away from the beach. There is a pool on premises should you wish to take a dip and the front desk was very nice and helpful. The shower was sooo good! Good pressure and stayed warm for a long time. I couldn’t hear anyone in the other units, it was nice and quiet. Laundry room is clean and I would recommend downloading the app called Pay range, though I found the timing for the dryers to be off, I found the prices dirt cheap and if you pay for three drying sets it works perfectly takes about a half hour to dry. The only negative I experienced was having to check-out because I did not want to leave!!!! Thank you so much Sherry and Roger, the stay just made my experience in Maui that much more perfect! Really can’t say enough good things! Very happy with everything.

A great find

We loved the location - no busy road between the condo and the large grass area and beach. The unit is very well equipped with enough dishes to actually fill the dishwasher. Also lots of beach & kitchen essentials available that you don't have to purchase. The unit is surprisingly quiet even though it's close to the parking lot. Sherry and her on-island contact were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We will not hesitate to return to this wonderful little piece of paradise.

Wonderful condo!

I stayed at this location once and loved the area and these condos located on Ocean front .,Villages by the Sea. I have stayed at other property on Maui but love this location. It is centrally located, easily accesses various parts of the island.

Why they chose this property

The condo is ground level, so you come and go conveniently, with no steps, stairs or elevators to slow you down. The condo is on the sunnier side of the complex, but with enough shade on the lanai to protect the interior from the hot summer sun and has air conditioning. The beach view is limited, which would encourage you to go out to the beach at sunset or sunrise. Kihei's great swimming beaches are only 5-15 minutes away. The beach at Kauhale Makai is best for kite- and wind-surfing and gorgeous sunset walks.

What makes this property unique

This condo is on the ground floor, easy entry and exit to, the Pool and the beach. Private parking next to the ground floor unit only steps away to load and unload the car for the day trips. It has air conditioning when the weather is hot and you want to stay inside to cool off.
