About Madaline Headley-Woodroffe
Hi my name is Madaline and I am married to William. We are the owners of the Tamarind Tree Apartment who also live on the premises. I grew up on the beautiful lush and rugged east coast of the island. I married to William and moved to this side of the island where we raised 2 beautiful daughters - Indra and Tyra. As this location is home to us we were always being praised for our location and hospitality when entertaining but only saw it as home until we decided to add the apartment. William is a qualified graduate secondary school teacher of Mathematics while I work in business development with a government agency. Our kids are now in university seeking to lead their own lives.

Our Apartment is well located along one of the more beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Barbados. We wanted to share our hospitality and our home with visitors to truly experience Barbadian culture in a village type setting similar to what we like to experience when we travel to other countries. Therefore we try to provide the comforts of home in an easy going holiday setting where locals are friendly and are always willing to assist you with anything if you need it. Females and the elderly are especially comfortable here and grateful for the helpfullness. The location is safe and someone is always on the premises. Our apartment is a continuous evolving opportunity for us as we seek visitors ideas and needs to update our plant into what you like as well as what we like. This fusion will hopefully be more pleasing to all as we continue.

Very nice time
We just experienced a short but great time in Barbados. Madeline and William were very nice. The beach is just steps away. We did not have a car so we used the local buses which were inexpensive and convenient. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Mr. Vics was a great time with Tony on the steel drums. We also purchased fresh fish from a local place within easy walking distance. Overall the apartment is great value and we would stay there again.
Great location, beachfront, friendly helpful beach vendors. I loved sitting on my beachfront patio drinking my coffee every morning. And there was an incredible breeze throughout the apartment.
We spent eight nights and were very pleased with the experience. Madaline and William were always available when we had questions and went above and beyond in making this trip relaxing. We failed to make advance reservations for a rental car and Madaline was able to help us out and find one -- even during this extremely busy time of year. The apartment is in a perfect location for seeing the island and is near grocery stores and restaurants. The beach is literally steps away and it was so great having our beach chairs waiting for us every day. We were treated to a fantastic authentic Christmas meal from the beach grill they operate and enjoyed watching New Years Eve fireworks from our balcony overlooking the beach. We definitely recommend this rental -- it is a no frills place but perfect for a beach getaway.

Pleasant stay at Peyne´s Bay Beach
We spent 5 days in the 1-st floor apartment in the authentic Caribbean house. Madaline, her husband - the owners - and the whole staff are friendly, helpful and provided us with many useful information conc. the island.
Western location was a great advantage for trips with a rental car to all western and northern points of interests – beaches, Holetown, Cherry Tree Hill etc.
The lovely place was just right for what we needed. Two bedroom apartment was good equipped and maintained, the location was good and secure. We ate out most of the time for dinner, but prepared our own breakfast. The balcony, beach bar in the front and reserved sunbeds with umbrella were a nice bonus...
We enjoyed our stay there!

Perfect location. Beachfront.
5 stars, is it enough?
Perfect location, in the night you can sleep with the sound of the sea, ... and some roosters ;-). You're at 30 mt. from your beach umbrella, and 40 from Caribe. In this space The Gazebo, perfect for rum punch and lunch. Dont' worry at 6 p.m. is closed. Behind the house there's "BUS Stop to and out the City". Besides 100 mt to South Mr. Vic Restaurant (USD 100 in 2 for a good dinner). Other 100 mt. , beyond gas station, a Roti Restaurant (USD 30 in 2 for a good lunch). In the same direction, but along shoreline, after 500 mt a caratterisic fish market, eggs, fruit and veggie (11 am to 7 pm). For supermarket it's better a car or bus. What else? ;-) The apartment is big enought for our 2 iSUP 12,6 and 8, clean (twice p.w.) and full furnished, wonderfull little terrace. The stove is elettric, and is very different the gas sistem. There's a car park. When you arrive from airport (south), after gas station of Paynes, there's,on the right side, a little grey church. Thanks to Madaline, William, daughter and all family for assistence and for the wonderful holyday.

In questo spazio The Gazebo, perfetto per il rum punch e il pranzo. Non preoccuparti alle 6 del pomeriggio è chiuso. Dietro la casa c'è "BUS Stop to the City". Oltre 100 metri a sud Mr. Vic Restaurant (100 USD in 2 per una buona cena). Altro 100 mt. , oltre la stazione di servizio, un ristorante Roti (30 USD in 2 per un buon pranzo). Nella stessa direzione, ma lungo la costa, dopo 500 metri un caratteristico mercato del pesce, uova, frutta e verdura (dalle 11:00 alle 19:00). Per il supermercato è meglio una macchina o un autobus. Cos'altro? ;-) L'appartamento è abbastanza grande per i nostri 2 iSUP 12,6 e 8, pulito (due volte p.w.) e completamente arredato, piccolo terrazzo meraviglioso. La stufa è elettrica, ed è molto diversa dal sistema a gas. C'è un parcheggio. Quando arrivi dall'aeroporto (sud), dopo la stazione di servizio di Paynes, c'è, sul lato destro, una piccola chiesa grigia. Grazie a Madaline, William, figlia e tutta la famiglia per l'assistenza e per la meravigliosa vacanza.
