About this property

Lovely, traditional and independent basque in a peaceful location

Mariaren Etchea is a basque style family home that we have fully renovated as our home away from home. Comfortable and peaceful, it is on a street with little traffic where parking its car is very easy and entirely secured. Its north-south facing and has an arboured park that leads to a pine forest which allows you to spend your holidays, in a peaceful and discreet setting. The large, single storey terrace connected to the living room allows you to enjoy the sun loungers, get a tan or cook with the grill. (The north-facing kitchen enjoys of a comfortable coolness). If you want to enjoy our home during the cooler months to discover the Basque country, it is equipped with a central heater for your comfort and bay windows to enjoy nature. We just want you to spend a nice holiday while respecting this place as your own!

Maison fonctionnelle et bien distribuée (chambres bien séparées), grande terrasse sur le jardin avec de grands arbres au fond. Maison très bien équipée avec beaucoup de vaisselle et tout le mobilier de jardin nécessaire.Voiture recommandée, arrêt de bus à 5 min pour aller directement à Saint Jean de Luz, Bayonne et Bidart. Nous avons loué des vélos électriques pour plus d’indépendance les uns par rapport aux autres. Yvette qui s’occupe de la maison est très agréable et très arrangeante.Points négatifs: internet lent et rumeur de l’autoroute plus ou moins audible. Peut-être quelques oreillers supplémentaires

Très bien

Maison dans un quartier résidentiel calme. On peut faire les courses à pied. Pour les jolies balades, un étang en pleine nature à 3 km. Tout autour, des plages, de bons restaurants, de magnifiques parcours de golf et des frontons. Tout pour réussir ses vacances. Cela fait déjà quatre ans que nous revenons….

Bonnes vacances dans l’ensemble

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances. Un regret notre maison est trop loin de la plage ou même de l’océan. On ne peut y accéder que avec la voiture.

Lieu de résidence tres calme. Proche des commerces. Idealement placé pour faire des balades à pied ou à velo. Accueil par les locaux toujours très agréable. Pas assez de temps pour tout voir, nous reviendrons.

La maison est très agréable et bien située. Nous avons découvert la côte basque et quelques villages de l'intérieur. Les enfants ont joué dans le jardin. Ces deux semaines ont passé trop vite!

Durchwachsen

Wir haben das Haus für 12 Tage gemietet (meine Frau und unsere beiden erwachsenen Kinder), Ende August und einige Tage im September. Zunächst gab es im Vorfeld eine sehr zuvorkommende Kommunikation, bezahlt werden sollte lt. FeWo in 2 Tranchen, die 2. davon bis 15. August, der Vermieter kontaktierte aber bereits 1 Wo vor diesem Termin, ich möchte doch bitte die 2. Überweisung tätigen. (schon etwas merkwürdig, kennt er die Abläufe bei FeWoDirekt nicht ??). Nun ja, bis zum Anreisetag hatten wir jedenfalls - trotz mehrfacher Aufforderung dazu - keine Daten erhalten (z.B. Adresse, Kontaktmöglichkeit wie Telefonnummer…), nur durch eigene Recherchen (unter Anderem im französischen Telefonbuch) konnte ich eine Nummer ausfindig machen, unter der sich ein offensichtlich schon älterer Herr über meinen Anruf wunderte - immerhin konnte er mir die Tel.Nr. von einer Frau „Yvette“ vermitteln, unter der ich dann tatsächlich die Betreuerin für unser gemietetes Haus erreichen konnte. Danach ging alles recht reibungslos (Termin ausgemacht, Übergabe, die Adresse kannte ich aus den eigenen Recherchen…) - naja, auf jeden Fall konnten wir dann „einziehen“. Das Haus: älteres, renoviertes Modell, Betten etwas schmal, insges. gute Ausstattung, WLAN gut, ABER: eine echte Mückenplage, auch auf der Terrasse. Man hört die Autobahn sehr gut (von wegen „ruhig“), der Strand (angeblich 1,5 km entfernt: ja, Luftlinie…) gut 4 km zum Laufen…wir gehen nun mal gerne zum Strand. Insgesamt sind wir sehr enttäuscht
