Ein wunderbarer Urlaub in einem wunderbaren Haus

Unser Urlaub in Nea Styra bei Anne-Dominique war wirklich von Anfang bis Ende absolut schön! Das Haus verfügt über alles, was es braucht, um einen entspannten Urlaub zu haben. In Nea Styra gibt es super Restaurants und eine klasse Fleischerei der tolles Fleisch zum grillen und braten zu unfassbar günstigen Preisen anbietet (800 Gramm Rinderfilet für 18€) Auch kulturell gibt es einiges zu entdecken und zu sehen. Ein kleiner, frecher Gast hat auch die letzten Tage über uns gewacht - Vicky, die Katze. Sie ist absolut goldig und passt perfekt zum Rest des Urlaubs, der in jedem Wort als schön zu beschreiben ist. Tolle Gastgeber, tolle Unterkunft, tolles Land - echt eine Reise Wert!

Quelques surprises peu agréables

Maison très isolée avec une superbe vue comme nous le souhaitions. Par contre, sur les trois chambres, une seule avec clim. Boîte de nuit à proximité quand même avec la musique et chansons toute la nuit des vendredis et samedis. Pas de télévision malgré ce qui avait été inscrit sur la présentation "équipement". Enfin, écurie et étable à proximité donc invasion de petites mouches, obligeant à fermer constamment la porte menant sur la terrasse à chaque passage : avec trois enfants, pas facile à gérer !

Wir haben es sehr genossen, Gast zu sein. Es ist alles so, wie schon beschrieben: sehr ruhige Lage mit einem grandiosen Blick und Pool, ein großzügiges Haus mit einer schönen Terrasse, auf der man immer ein sonniges und schattiges Plätzchen findet, ein außergewöhnlich zuvorkommender Vermieter, der hilfsbereit und unkompliziert ist sowie der etwas abenteuerliche Zufahrtsweg, an den man sich aber schnell gewöhnt. Uns hat ebenfalls besonders der hausansässige Esel gefallen!

Tranquility and magnificent views

We had a great stay in this comfortable villa. This house is the perfect place to enjoy peace, tranquility, authenticity and fantastic views. We liked the lovely terrace and small garden with flowers, the light and airy look of the large open living room with the large window, the well equipped kitchen and Padmini the donkey. Driving on the island of Evia sometimes was a bit of an adventure with our little rental car (the road to the house also is a kind of bumpy dirt road), but we managed. And when we got stuck with our car on a very steep road, Eric was very helpful, he helped us out immediately and we are very thankful for that!

Olivenhaine, Schafe, Meer und Esel

Wir haben im Dezember und Januar trotz wechselhaften Wetters vier wunderbar erholsame Wochen verbracht. Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel mit weiter Aussicht in die Landschaft. Nach Süden erstreckt sich eine weitgehend unberührte Hügel- und Berglandschaft, nach Osten sieht man auf das Meer und Attika im Hintergrund. Man ist umgeben von Wiesen, Olivenhainen und Schafsherden und kann viele Spaziergänge direkt vom Haus machen oder mit kurzen Anfahrten schöne Wanderwege erreichen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet auch bei schlechtem Wetter dank großer Panoramafenster weite Ausblicke. Einige Tage lag Schnee und die Temperaturen waren nahe dem Gefrierpunkt. Dank Heizung und Kamin war es dennoch gemütlich warm. An anderen Tagen war es so sonnig, dass man auf der großen Panoramaterrasse essen konnte. Die Vermieter sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns regelmäßig mit Brennholz versorgt. Eine besondere Attraktion ist der hauseigene Esel, der sich frei im unteren Teil des großen Geländes bewegen darf. Der Gartenbereich unmittelbar um das Haus ist abgetrennt, so dass sich hier unser Hund frei entfalten konnte. Die nächstgelegenen Orte, Styra und Nea Styra, sind mit mehreren Läden und Lokalen in 45 min. auch zu Fuß erreichbar, so dass man nicht immer auf das Auto angewiesen ist. Etwas herausfordernd sind die unbefestigten Zufahrtswege, insbesondere wenn es stärker geregnet hat. Zumindest im Winter empfiehlt sich ein Fahrzeug mit Bodenfreiheit. Wir haben uns äußerst wohl gefühlt und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten.

Sehr schönes Haus mit Traumblick

Wunderschönes Haus mit Pool in ländlicher Alleinlage, mit einzigartigem Sonnenuntergang. Das Haus ist zum Wohllfühlen eingerichtet und auch bei Hitze gibt es immer ein schattiges Plätzchen am Haus. Der Vermieter Eric kümmert sich täglich um das Haus und ist bei Bedarf immer für seine Gäste da. Gern kommen wir wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Fabulous!!

We had a wonderful holiday . Superbe ! The view is incredible, every moment the view is different . Even with bad weather ( 2 days of storm and thunder) we enjoyed ourselves to look out of the great window. The house is perfect .Eric and Dominique are very helpful. Evia is a beautiful island with lots of possibilities very Quiet beaches , nice little villages and very friendly people. For sure we go again to this place and also to Phoenix the house. Nu ook nog in het Nederlands. Dit is echt de perfecte bestemming als je van rust stilte en mooie uitzichten houdt . Wij zijn erg verliefd geworden op dit huis en ook op Evia. Het was thuis komen . De weg naar het huis toe is voor een deel zandweg maar goed te doen als je een beetje stevige auto hebt. Vlakbij op 10 minuten rijden ligt Nea Stira , leuk klein dorp met alle winkels die je nodig hebt. De eigenaren zijn zeer behulpzaam. Kortom echt een aanrader voor rustzoekers Rob en Kathy uit Amsterdam

trés belle et spacieuse villa dans un cadre magnifique.

Eric et Dominigue nous ont reçu comme des amis. De cette magnifique villa vous pourrez contempler la vue sur mer et montagne. L'île d'Eubée offre de nombreuses randonnées et sites à visiter. Le ferry à 10 minutes de la villa offre la possibilité de rejoindre Athènes en 1 h. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir et pourquoi pas revenir. Merci encore à Eric et Dominigue. Einfach nur schön!!!

Diese Unterkunft ist voll und ganz zu empfehlen. Sehr netter und freundlicher Besitzer. Er hat uns sogar von der Fähre abgeholt und bis zum Haus gebracht. Der Zufahrtsweg ist zwar langsam zu befahren, jedoch hat unser Kleinwagen völlig ausgereicht. Das Grundstück ist natürlich bewachsen und durch die Abgeschiedenheit perfekt, um zu entspannen und sich eine gute Auszeit zu nehmen. Die Schlafräume sind ausreichend eingerichtet. Der Wohnraum sehr großzügig und mit Licht durchflutet. Die Terrasse ist ein Traum, sie lädt zum Verweilen ein und bietet viel Platz, um gemütlich die Ruhe zu genießen. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche und würden dieses Haus auf jeden Fall noch einmal bereisen!

Beautiful, tranquil!

What a place! Perched on a hilltop overlooking the sea and Attica in the distance, this is a great place to enjoy calm and beauty. We spent almost two weeks in the winter, enjoying breakfast and lunches on the terrace, or sitting by the fire inside. South-Evia is gorgeous and authentic, allowing for lovely outings and more lunches, this time in little seaside towns and villages. The house is roomy, has a homely atmosphere, and Eric is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our friendship with donkey Padmini as well. Renting Erics four wheel drive is advisable, since the two kilometers unsurfaced road to the house are bumpy. All in all: highly recommended for people who love views and privacy!

Fantastic View, spacious villa and vhelpful Owner

We stayed here for a week with our large family and watched amazing sunsets every night. Eric went out of his way to help us arranging taxi's and even picked us up from another port when the ferries stopped runnning due to a storm. He arranged hire cars and was on hand if we needed. The Donkey was an extra treat for the kids, they fed him. although he was a very loud alarm clock and you have to watch he doesn't nip out of the gate when you are leaving or arriving. You can walk to a local beach which is very quiet and safe to swim its about 20 - 30 mins. The track up to the place is rough so not for the fainted hearted driving wise but excellent if you want peace and quite as their are not many people about. The local town is only 10 mins away in a car so dead easy to get supplies.

What else ?...

2 semaines passées au paradis sur terre ! Si vous recherchez le calme, les vues magnifiques, les dîners le soir avec un panorama merveilleux, alors cette maison vous comblera ! Peut-être ne devrais-je pas être si élogieux de peur que je ne puisse plus y retourner pour cause de "fully booked"... Nous avons donc passé 2 semaines en famille (2 adultes + 2 enfants, 4 et 2 ans), nous avons même eu la place d'accueillir de la famille (2 adultes et 3 enfants supplémentaires): la taille et la configuration de la maison le permet: ceci dit, la terrasse est tellement agréable (et en partie couverte, très bien lorsque fortes chaleurs) que nous vivions pratiquement dehors. Éric, le propriétaire, s'est toujours montré de bon conseil... notamment sur les restos alentour (goûtez svp les calamars à l'ouzo, c'est divin). Vraiment, 2 semaines au paradis... pour la "peine" nous y retournons l'année prochaine (vivement !!!). S.

An oasis of tranquility and outstanding views

On arrival by ferry at Nea Styra we were met by the ever courteous and efficient Eric and followed him the short distance to Villa Phoenix. If you are looking for bright lights and discos then this is not the place, however if you want peace & quiet with truly outstanding views from both the terrace and through the large picture window then this villa is ideal. It comes well equipped with a good kitchen, a very large living room and Minnie the house donkey who will wake late sleepers with loud demands for company/carrots. For exploring the almost tourist free southern Evia or simply relaxing Villa Phoenix is the place.
