Ragusa Ibla July 2019

A very helpful and friendly host. The accommodation is in need of uprading. The external furniture was of poor quality plastic or old wood without any pads. There were no parasols. The waste disposal arrangements are inadequate. Air conditioning should be installed upstairs as a minimum. The steps up to the town are overgrown and totally unlit. This is not Lucio's fault but he should accurately describe the situation. The property has great potential. Lucio is a superb host

Good evening, I see! The Villa is located in a protected natural landscape area. It is the will of the local administrations to leave particular areas (UNESCO Heritage) in the most natural way possible! Unfortunately it is difficult for us to make even small variations of any kind, but we are still very happy ....... many of our guests really appreciate these naturalness! Thanks L.I. Buonasera, Capisco! La Villa è situata in una zona paesaggistica naturale protetta. È volontà delle amministrazioni locali lasciare particolari zone (Patrimonio Unesco) nel modo più naturale possibile! Purtroppo a noi è complicato fare anche piccole variazioni di ogni genere, ma siamo comunque molto felici ....... tanti nostri ospiti apprezzano molto proprio queste naturalezza! Grazie

Très bon séjour

Grande maison avec piscine et grand jardin. Accueil très sympathique de Luciano qui est très réactif et disponible. Prévoir répulsif à moustiques. Ragusa Ibla est une très belle ville baroque (où l'on trouve beaucoup de bons restaurants) accessible en voiture ou à pied, par des escaliers, en haute saison (car il est difficile de trouver de la place pour se garer). Il faut compter environ 15 minutes pour la montée à pied. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine.

Nous avons passés un superbe séjour dans la maison. L'espace extérieur et les installations sont un vrai plus. À quelques minutes de la magnifique ville de Ragusa. Nous recommandons fortement cette maison.

Mooie vakantiewoning op een geweldige locatie

Afgelopen zomervakantie een week met twee gezinnen verbleven in deze vakantiewoning. We zijn vriendelijk ontvangen door eigenaar Luciano. Hij geeft een goede uitleg over de woning en de omgeving. De omgeving is geweldig. Binnen 15 minuten op loopafstand sta je midden in het centrum van Ragusa. De woning is ruim en netjes. Grote slaapkamers, fijne keuken en badkamers, mooi veranda met buitenkeuken, grote tuin met BQ en een fijn zwembad. Al met al een fijn plek die ik zeker kan aanraden.

Spacious - perfect for a family!

Lucio is an excellent host - he made sure we could enjoy the entire property. The pool was very refreshing, and what a luxury to have 2 fully equipped kitchens! It’s close proximity to Ragusa Ibla was a definite plus, as well as the very nearby restaurant La Capinera (outstanding!). We’d definitely return with friends and family!

from the knack needed to open the door, all windows and doors needed the same knack. NO bins for rubbish,dish washer not working, washing machine working even when all lights flashing.Heating was supposed to work at 20 degrees yeah yeah NO We had the impression that everything was cheap and not what we expected.Look at the pristine pictures on the web site and this is not what is offered. I could go go all day but what is the point.the only good thing that Luciano suggested was the restaurant neat to the railway crossing.

Buongiorno, Written observations are not true. The House is absolutely faithful to the photos, and has finishes of the highest quality. The fixtures are of the highest quality ..... it was necessary to be able to use them! The dishwasher (Miele brand whose price is € 850) has failed during your stay ..... they are appliances and can be spoiled! The City of Ragusa during your stay was organizing the transition to separate waste collection, this is the modest of the little discomfort! The temperature of the house inside for us is calculated with 20 degrees ..... I do not think it's bad! I had the pleasure of hosting many people for the holidays, and all have commented in a more than positive ... all 5 and 4 stars! I'm very sorry if you've been sick ..... I'm comforted by the fact that the only ones were you! Thank you Buongiorno, Le osservazioni scritte non sono vere. La Casa è assolutamente fedele alle foto, ed ha finiture di altissima qualità. Gli infissi sono di altissima qualità .....era necessario riuscire ad usarli! La lavastoviglie ( marca Miele il cui prezzo è di € 850) si è guastata durante il vostro soggiorno .....sono elettrodomestici e si possono guastare! La Città di Ragusa durante il vostro soggiorno stava organizzando il passaggio alla raccolta differenziata, questo il modivo del piccolo disaggio! La Temperatura della casa all’interno per noi è calcolata con 20 Gradi.....non credo sia male! Ho avuto il piacere di ospitare per le vacanze tantissime persone, e tutti hanno commentato in maniera più che positiva....tutti 5 e 4 stelle! Mi dispiace molto se siete stati male .....mi conforta il fatto che gli unici siete stati voi! Grazie

Lovely house in a beautiful location

Ragusa Ibla was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. A stunningly beautiful town with lots to see and plenty of nice restaurants. The house is fabulous. Two good double bedrooms downstairs with a bathroom in between and a large bedroom upstairs, divided into two parts with beds for another 4-5 people (ideal for kids) and a big sitting area. A real plus was the outdoor kitchen an dining area (there is an indoor kitchen too) which we made most use of and of course the excellent pool. The walk to Ragusa Ibla (up the famous steps) is not too tough and well worth it, though you can also drive up and park easily (though parking gets full if you go later in the evening). We found the house a little too warm at times (A/C would have made it perfect) and it lacked a couple of basics (we had to go out the first day and get washing up liquid, more toilet paper etc.) but otherwise it was a great house in a perfect location. I should also mention that Luciano arranged to meet us the first day at a big supermarket about 15 minutes away from the house and led us back to the house on his Vespa. It was very helpful as the house would be tricky to find otherwise. Grazie Lucio.

Lovely place!

I highly recommend this place to group of friends or larger families. We were with a group of 9 friends and enjoyed especially the poolarea very much. Also the outside cooking area is perfect for late night Italian dinners. Luciano was very nice and helpful during our stay and picked us up at a central place in Ragusa to take us to the villa upon our arrival. As you can read in other reviews, it is only a short walk upon the stairs to go to Ragusa Ibla, which is the very nice historic center of Ragusa. Also the restaurant next door (La Capinera, only 5 minutes walking) is very nice with local dishes, wine and pizza of course. The place is perfect for discovering the South-East of the Island, for example Modica, Noto, the beach or Syracuse.

Irminio Gardens Ragusa Ibla

Lovely property close to Ragusa Ibla which is in climbing distance up steps. Property is clean, and very spacious, with the option of cooking and eating outside. Owners were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Ideal for our three generation family, with a good sized swimming pool and large garden. Highly recommended.

Magnifique maison avec jardin et vaste piscine dans la Sicile baroque

Quel plaisir de séjourner dans cette belle maison pour des vacances en famille avec deux adolescentes. La maison est grande et meublée avec du mobilier de qualité. On a apprécié le soin et le souci de l'esthétisme apportés par les propriétaires. Les espaces sont agréables et on s'y sent bien. Les chambres sont confortables avec une literie de qualité. On se lève le matin en étant reposé car l'endroit est silencieux. Le jardin est bien entretenu et nous en avons profité grâce à la terrasse aménagée jouxtant la cuisine d'été. La piscine est encore plus vaste qu'elle n'y paraît sur les photos. Nous avons pu nous baigner à différents moments de la journée et même la nuit grâce à son éclairage. La maison étant située au pied de Ragusa Ibla, nous nous sommes baladés quasiment tous les soirs dans ce magnifique village baroque pour savourer des délicieuses glaces aux parfums inédits. Luciano nous a accueilli chaleureusement et il est resté à disposition durant tout notre séjour après nous avoir présenté la région et donné de bonnes adresses de restaurants. Nous les avons testés et nous avons découvert une cuisine sicilienne créative et délicieuse. Dès notre demande de réservation les messages de Luciano étaient clairs et les réponses à nos différentes questions rapides. The very best villa we have ever stayed in !!

The photos do not do this wonderful villa justice. It was fabulous. The most marvellous pool, tennis court, summer kitchen, beautifully decorated house with high quality furnishings. Above all, the kindness and prompt attention of wonderful host Lucio made our 3 weeks complete. Well done Lucio and Chiara - This villa is a real credit to you both. Highly recommended.

VILLA EXCEPTIONNELLE

Tout d'abord, je tiens à remercier le propriétaire ( Lucio ) pour son accueil, sa simplicité et son dévouement. Nous avons passez 15 jours extraordinaire, avec une piscine tout simplement Enorme et superbement entretenue. Terrain de tennis, basket. La villa est très spacieuse et très bien entretenue. Ragusa Ibla est très joli et le soir vous vous baladez en mangeant une glace dont seul les italiens on le secret. Bref, si vous avez envie de vous rendre en Sicile, c'est à coup sûr une super adresse. En tout cas, si je dois y retourner, je n'hésiterai pas une seconde pour retourner chez Lucio. Les p'tits Belges ( Les 2 Eric, Brigitte, Jacqueline, Margot, Dimitri, Bill et Romain.

Brilliant house and location

As five adults travelling together, I chose this house for our stay because it seemed to combine peaceful countryside with a small town within walking distance. It was a briliant choice! The house itself is beautiful, spacious, has everything you could possibly need, and is set in a lovely bird-filled garden with great swimming pool. It is entirely secluded and peaceful, and just by a small river and walks up the hills by the house. But on the other side is the old town of Ragusa Ibla, which has all the shops, cafes and restaurants we needed. It was reached by 195 steps up the hill - perfectly possible in 10/15 minutes by the four fit members of the household, but alas not for me. However there was no problem in taking the car up - a few minutes drive - and it was easy to find parking at the entrance or within the town. The interior of the house was modern and beautifully renovated, the outside terrace and bbq perfect. Lucio and Chiara were very helpful and very delightful - I always think reviews are more helpful if they have a few negatives, but really I can't think of any - we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Great House in a great place !

La maison est fantastique ! Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances ici: la maison est bien équipée, la piscine est géniale (avec un couloir de natation de 25 m de long, un toboggan pour les enfants), il y a une cuisine d'été, un grand jardin, de très bonnes literies... Lucio et Chiara sont très gentils et disponibles pour tout conseil ou aide. En outre, Ragusa Ibla est absolument superbe et très agréable à vivre et à parcourir. C' est un point de départ très pratique pour visiter la région : Syracuse, l'Etna, d'autres belles villes baroques du sud, etc. La Sicile est vraiment un endroit magnifique et accueillant. The house is great ! We spent very good holidays here : the house is well equipped, the pool is fantastic (with the swimming raw of 25 m long, a slide for the kids), there is a summer kitchen, a great garden, very good beddings. Lucio and Chiara are very nice and available for any need or help. Moreover, Ragusa Ibla is absolutely beautiful and very nice to live. It is a very convenient starting point to visit the area : Syracusa, Etna, other beautiful baroque towns.

Very nice house in a super quiet environment fully equipped with everything to make our vacation relaxing & fun (huge pool, tennis court, basket etc etc...)... beautiful Ragusa Ibla only few minutes away, we had a wonderful time in South Sicily! Beautiful quiet convenient

This villa is so good that we are going back in 2014. A ten minute walk from Ragusa Ibla (up old steps in the hillside), in a quiet and beautiful valley, this villa exceeded our expectations. The facilities are great, including the swimming pool, which has a 25 metre exercise lane. The whole place has been sympathetically restored by the owners, who really went out of their way to support us and were particularly helpful when one of our five kids was unwell. Everything is beautifully maintained and very 'chic' - walking barefoot across a perfect lawn to the pool for a morning dip, with swallows swooping above, was a personal favourite for both of us. There is plenty to do, with several walks into the valley (there is a pretty stretch of river very close to the villa) and up the hill beyond, loads of baroque towns to visit nearby and, of course, many beaches (around 30-40 minutes away). As we have already said, this villa comes highly recommended by both of us!

"Ein TRAUMHAUS! Ideale Lage, 10 Fussminuten von Ragusa Ibla entfernt. Sehr ruhig gelegen mit sehr gepflegtem, riesigem Garten! Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und edel renoviert. Auch der Aussenbereich ist schlichtweg ein Knaller : große überdachte Terrasse, Rasen weich wie ein dicker Teppich, Schwimmbad mit 25-Meter Bahn, Basketball-Terrain, Tennisplatz, Tischtennis, Tischfußball, Aussengrill, Pizzaofen.... eine Woche ist zu kurz, um alle Möglichkeiten in Ruhe auszukosten. Die Besitzer Luciano und Chiare sind sehr charmant und tun Alles, damit man sich bei ihnen zu Hause fühlt. Mille Grazie per tutto e a una prossima volta!"

"Superbe maison dans un environnement très calme et très vert. La situation est exceptionnelle, la superbe ville de Ragusa est accessible également à pied par un bel escalier traversant la colline et aboutissant au pied du village. La maison réhabilitée avec beaucoup de goût offre un confort complet tant au point de vue des équipements de cuisine que des équipements de loisirs laissés à disposition. Piscine très agréable dans le jardin, terrain de tennis et panneau de basket pour les sportifs. Accueil chaleureux."

"Perfect house for holida...

"Perfect house for holidays with friends or family, the house was stuning, spacious, clean. No time to get bored with the swimming pool, table tennis, tennis or basket ball. The welcoming from the owner waas very nice and we spend splendid holidays in this less touristy part of sicily. Recomand strongly"
