Self Catering Apartment Roman Penthouse

My husband and I travel a lot and prefer hotels, usually 5 star unless travel circumstances require less. I say this to establish where I am coming from and previous experience. This was my first experience with a VRBO/Homeaway property and it was wonderful.

The location you will already have heard is second to none, 500 meters or so to the Trevi fountain and around the corner, maybe 1000 meters from the Spanish steps. Center of the historic center and near the most exclusive stores and also an eclectic mix of boutiques and restaurants and more touristy options. The streets are cobbled which is gorgeous.

In terms of comfort, the curtains are blackout, the pillows range from firm to soft, the mattresses are firm, the air conditioning is unique to each room and plenty of towels and wash clothes are provided. One room has a king size bed with that can be 2 twins and this one has a king foam mattress topper. If I have an issue, it is that all mattresses should have a thick foam mattress topper for extra comfort. The living room has the most amazingly comfortable couches in a L shape, perfect for watching TV (Netflix available on smart TV to login to) or for just hanging out. It also has a king sized pullout bed. And the L part of couch could also function as a bed.

Light switches and plug outlets are numerous and intuitive. The whole apartment works very well and easily.

I must compliment Chiara and Francesco on their attention to our needs throughout and before our arrival. I travelled with my Mother who has mobility issues and my young niece. They organised a car from airport, co-ordinated with driver from airport, checked us in and organised groceries in fridge as we arrived late, and organised two cars for different reasons. All done with ease and grace. Nothing was too much trouble.

For future travellers, there is a grocery store next door that shuts at 10pm with all you need. And a Carrefour grocery store with more a block away to the left as you exit. There are 2 pharmacies next door to the right as you ext apt. There is a wonderful Piazza to the right with a lovely cafe and a great taxi stand less than a block.

Priorities for our adult family of 5 vacation (2 sibling couples and 1 grandparent) were location, location,location, AC, elevator, 3 bedrooms, 2 updated baths, modern kitchen, clean, and great living space. This property met and exceeded all of our requirements. The owner and host team were professional and extremely helpful assisting us with recommendations for transportation from and to the airport. Providing guidance on train travel to Florence as well as restaurant reservations. All the little things that come up and need to be addressed and go into minimizing stress and making a holiday stay enjoyable. Convenience to grocery store, pharmacy, cafe, and taxi stand makes day to day essentials as convenient as anyone could want. Based on our personal experience if you are looking for a perfect family vacation in Rome take advantage of this "Excellent property and Professional host team."

Our family of four (with two teens) could not have been more pleased with our stay at this beautiful apartment. The location was incredible- minutes to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. There is a market right downstairs with anything you need. We walked everywhere and it was always so nice to come back to the beautiful, spacious and comfortable apartment to rest for a while before heading out for dinner. It was still hot during our stay so the air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Francesco was so helpful and responsive. He made some wonderful restaurant recommendations and suggestions for areas of the city to explore. He ordered a taxi to pick us up when we were heading to the airport. Highly recommend this apartment!

This is a great 3 bed apartment within 3 mins of the Trevi fountain and 8 mins to Pantheon.

Check in was perfect and Francesco the perfect host.

The apartment is full of art, the WiFi and air con work and there is great little balcony for breakfast and evening drinks.

There is a lift to the 4th floor so no walking and a supermarket right outside the door

This is a fantastic property - as good as it looks online, maybe even better. The apartment is furnished beautifully and has been updated with a modern kitchen and baths. Towels, beds and linens are comfortable. Air conditioning works great. Kitchen was stocked with many refreshments. Francesco was easy to work with and so accommodating. Best of all is the location right in the city center - we walked everywhere. The only time we took a taxi was to Termini with our luggage. Carrefour and a Coop Market both just steps away. Book this and you will be happy you did!
