The mountain side inn is a great spot and this room is one of the better ones I’ve seen there as it has some updates. That said, the bed is pretty uncomfortable. Easily 5 stars with a small investment into a more comfortable bed.
We had a fantastic time skiing. The condo is tiny but had everything we needed and was an excellent price for Telluride. The new hot tubs were a fantastic way to end a day on the slopes. Thank you!
Location was excellent, literally steps from Telluride Trail and you can ski down to Lift 7 and get up the mountain. The room was pretty small for 2 people, especially if the second is not your partner. Not the kind of place I’d take my wife for a nice vacation, but not bad for a few night ski trip with a friend. All of the staff we met were very friendly and accommodating. Not the fanciest place in town but the location makes up for it in proximity to slopes and food/shopping.

For $20 more you can stay in a MUCH better place
Our stay was a big let down from start to finish. Let me start by saying our expectations were not high - we just wanted a place to put our heads at night that was clean and safe. However, the room was really dingy, bathroom smelled like urine, room smelled pretty musty/moldy, and dogs barked the entire time we were there... day and night.
I actually booked a different hotel for our second night and we let our room here go unused, because we had called management to tell them we were not going to stay for the above reasons and got no response (to this day).
The hotel we found was only $20 more and was LIGHTYEARS better... made us seriously regret booking here in the first place to try to save money!
We arrived in Telluride the evening of our stay only to realize the email from our property manager was completely blank. And because we arrived after 7pm, there was no one on duty at the front desk. Eventually, we found the emergency number and were able to get someone to help us unlock the lockbox and get our keys. Funny enough, we received a text with the correct instructions the next day -- hah!
Further, there were some broken things in our room: The outlet for the toaster and coffee maker did not have power, the bathroom (toilet) door did not close, and the fan blades on the portable fan rubbed the fan enclosure at all speeds.
We were able to make do (and informed the property manager about this on check-out), but these issues made our stay a little subpar.
The place was small as expected but for a weekend it was fine. Great location and loved the river trail so close. Absolutely amazing they allow pets! The bed could be improved and the parking was a hassle, but otherwise sufficient for our weekend getaway.
Great location, walk to Telluride shops and restaurants as well as ski lift. Small room, can't imagine 4 people being comfortable in this space, but pet friendly and space for my husband and our large dog for a few days. Bed not especially comfortable. Staff was helpful and responsive. Have stayed here before and will likely stay again.
This was my first time skiing with just my kids. It was the perfect location to make this trip easy for my girls and I. It was a small cozy room, but perfect for our needs.
Great location for access to the Galloping Goose and free gondola, as well as everything Telluride has to offer. Enough space for a few days for a couple.
Thank you to Mountainside Lodge for providing us with a safe and clean place to stay during our vacation! The staff was extremely kind and respectful. I love that the hotel and the entire San Miguel Co. requires masks and has hand sanitizer available. We will definitely be back!
The room is pretty tight quarters, but we enjoyed our stay. The building is in a very convenient location to where you can easily access the slopes and are only a short walk from town. We definitely wished the hot tub had longer hours!
