We had an idyllic 5 night stay at this beautiful villa. The pictures don’t do it justice. The grounds are impeccable, the home spacious and spotlessly clean. The hosts, Marie France and Patrick were warm and welcoming and very accommodating. Thank you for your generous hospitality.
Lovely house well situated to explore the surrounding areas of Bordeaux. The house had a nice lived-in feeling to it and was very well equipped. Situated in a quiet rural area, but with several nice restaurants within short walking distance. The bedrooms had good mattresses and were of a good size. With two bathrooms, one an ensuite, none of them have toilets, and a toilet on the first floor where the bedrooms are an another at ground level it was reasonably equipped on that front as well. There were nice seating areas outside and the pool was great. The hosts were very nice and really helpful. So we had a great holiday here. The duvets were quite heavy and warm, we agreed between us that lighter duvets would have been preferable, but it is a small gripe and does not distract from the overall positive impression.
We loved the location and the house was so comfortable and easy to get to. Also it is a short distance to Bordeaux. Patric and Marie were so friendly and easy to get ahold of. I would definitely come stay here again.
Really enjoyed our recent stay here. The house is beautiful and the pool and garden area is really lovely. It’s a short walk into the village centre where you can get a bus into Bordeaux and there is also a new bakery which was really delicious! Check in process was easy, we were met upon arrival even with our late arrival time of 11pm due to a delayed flight.
We enjoyed the home and location- perfect for wine tasting in the various regions. The property is just a short walk to town and several restaurants. We highly recommend this home.
Lovely hosts and very helpful. Lovely house. Need a car to get around, but lovely nearby places to visit. Very spacious house and lovely pool and gardens. Very well equipped for catering in the house and two good restaurant's in walking distance in the village. We really enjoyed ourselves as a family of 7 adults.

Exactly what we were looking for - had a great weekend
The property is spacious, clean and authentic - we stayed in the winter and the house was lovely and warm ... in the summer the outside space would be fantastic.
This beautiful property is very spacious inside and outside and extremely well appointed with everything you might need away from home. The owners who live next door were very welcoming and helpful. It was the perfect venue for our family reunion.
Hosts very welcoming, property lovely however some modernisation would be good.
Excellent location for Bordeaux city.
Swimming Pool is excellent.
Bouliac is beautiful but not a lot going on there.
Excellent, unique poperty. Good location for visiting Bordeaux and surrounding area. Patrick and Marie are friendly, welcoming helpful and accommodating hosts.
Patrick and Marie's house in Bouliac was a charming and classic French country house. The garden and pool were outstanding especially during the hot weather. Our hosts were very helpful and I would highly recommend this property. Don
Beautiful rustic home just outside of Bordeaux. The gardens and pool were outstanding, we ate outside every night. The home was comfortable and well equipped. The only drawback was that the home got hot at night and no ac or window screens so if we opened windows we got mosquitos, if we didn’t want bugs inside we were too hot. Home really needs window screens for comfort in the evening. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay!
It was a great pleasure to stay in such a beautiful & spacious old property. Location great, close to centre Bouliac, with easy bus & road links to Bordeaux, yet on edge of countryside with good local walks. Nice spacious garden & good sized swimming pool. There are 2 good sized bathrooms which could be improved by inclusion of a toilet (located separately, further down landing). Hosts are very pleasant, helpful & unintrusive.
Amazing period property well situated for getting into Bordeaux and the surrounding area.
Wifi struggles to reach all the property and dors not work outside.
Just what was needed after a busy few months
. Marvelous house Marvelous host Marvelous pool what more can you ask? We arrived quite tired because of a late flight we were greeted with 3 cold beers that hit the spot, very much appreciated thanks.
Thankyou a wonderful stay.Robin, Carolyn, ann

Even better than we expected!
The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures, and so is the garden - and the pool. We had a wonderful time, Patrick and Marie France were available if there was anything we wanted to ask, but they were very aware of keeping a polite distance as well. We recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the Bordeaux area. We were a group of friends travelling, and this was exactly what we had dreamed of. Thank you so much!
As a family of 7 (ages 4-50) we travelled to the gorgeous area of Bouliac for my mother’s 50th birthday and had the most wonderful 2 weeks at Patrick and Marie’s gorgeous villa. The area itself is beautiful, equally quiet and tucked away yet everything you could need is just minutes away. We’ve made many memories during our stay which will last a lifetime, and couldn’t have chosen somewhere better to have experienced it all. If we needed anything, the owners were just next door, and even gifted us some homegrown tomatoes and herbs during our first week which we made a delicious meal with. We couldn’t recommend this property enough, and will definitely be back!
Just what we needed for the final leg of self drive part of our holiday in France. We stayed for 4 nights and could not have picked a better accommodation. Eclectic and homey. Peaceful and quiet. Personable. Lots of books. Had everything we needed. Felt like a home I could live in. Lovely garden. A Magpie visited us daily! Beautiful town. Great pizza place a block up the road. A short drive to St. Emilion, as well as Arcachon the opposite way. Wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely recommend and would definitely come back should I ever be in the area again.

Lovely country retreat
My brother, his wife and I enjoyed a relaxing week at this charming house in Bouliac. The property has been tastefully converted from its original existence as a winery. The 4 good-size bedrooms have excellent mattresses, while the living and dining rooms are very spacious. We found everything to-hand in the kitchen in order to cook our own meals.
The pool was a delight in the few hot spells. And the gardens are simply gorgeous.
Bouliac was a good base for our travels around the countryside. The town also offers its own attractions: walking trails and parks, and a look-out behind the main church to view the spectacular sunsets.
Patrick and Marie France were gracious and helpful hosts. With Patrick's help, we found our way to Chateau Smith Haut LaFitte on our last day for a memorable vineyard visit (and excellent lunch).
Thank you, Marie France and Patrick, for a wonderful week.
