With more than 80 years of history and a total area of about 300m², the Cuevas de Barreto are a unique place, with an interior temperature throughout the year of between 18º and 20º, with their thick walls and architectural originality, which give the visitor a unique feeling of peace and tranquility.
Located in the Villa de Firgas, 646 m. altitude and at the foot of the Pico el Rayo (Pico de Osorio), in a farm of about 27,000 m², repopulated with native flora of the Canary Laurisilva, fruit trees, ornamental plants, medicinal and for gourmet use, are located within the Doramas Rural Park, with views of the sea and the mountains.
Las Cuevas de Barreto has the following facilities, accessed from a main corridor of about 25 m. deep and an interior hood for lighting and ventilation, has:
BIG KITCHEN. 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, microwave, electric coffee maker, water heater, mixer, toaster. With barbecue / fireplace and a large mosaic table, wooden bench and chairs.
SMALL KITCHEN. 4-burner induction hob, microwave, folding table with 5 stools.
MAIN LIVING-DINING ROOM with long table and wooden chairs, a two-seater armchair, flat-screen satellite TV, refrigerator, wooden wardrobe. From the living-dining room you go to the Mini-Bar with a fridge for soft drinks, antique decoration, a masonry bench. The Mini-Bar leads to a round interior patio with a large skylight in the ceiling that gives clarity and ventilation to the cave, it has a table with 4 terrace chairs.
SECOND ROOM. A cozy living room in the bedroom area, with a long masonry bench and cushions, a 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, a table and a flat-screen canal + TV. There is a corner with a table and chair (the only place where there is WiFi), stereo with Bluetooth and USB (there are speakers in almost all the Cave, even in the outside pergola)
BEDROOM 1, with 2 single beds of 90 x 200 cm, masonry wardrobe without doors, large mirror.
BEDROOM 2, (the largest) with two single beds of 90 x 200 cm, masonry cupboard without doors, large mirror of 2 m. Tall.
BEDROOM 3, with two single beds 90 x 200 cm together, clothes rack with wheels for hanging clothes, mirror.
BEDROOM 4, (smallest) with a double bed of 200 x 170 cm, masonry cupboard without doors, mirror.
BEDROOM 5, at the end of a cave corridor with 2 single beds of 90 x 200 cm, masonry closet without doors, mirror.
There are 4 bathrooms (bedroom 3 and 4 share a bathroom), all with a shower, toilet and a washbasin with a mirror (the bathroom in bedroom 4 is accessible from the terrace and is the only one that is wheelchair accessible). We also have 1 outside toilet.
Spa-Jacuzzi for six people outdoors and outdoors.
Large terrace with a long masonry bench for 8 people under a 9 x 4 m wooden pergola, cushions, a long table and chairs. Awning and protective canvas between the pergola and the entrance to the Cave, mobile charcoal barbecue. Heineken beer tap.
Free Wifi (in the second room), dehumidifiers and heaters, a washer and dryer room. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board available.
