Fisherman's Cottage, private, Villa on the beach close to Kalamakia Alonnisos

Fishermans cottage is a one bedroom beach front Villa, its it private and not overlooked.The villa offers traditional charm with a modern and upmarket style. The master bedroom offers a large king sized bed with a quality mattress quality cotton linens .The decoration is modern and the view across the veranda to the sea is second to none.There is a wardrobe and dressing table with mirror and bedside tables with lamps .A hair drier is provided.Free air conditioning in the bedroom.
There is also a free standing electric fan .

The open plan living area offers a comfortable sofa bed which is suitable for a small child The kitchen has a full sized cooked,fridge freezer and is well equipped for home dining .The living space has a dining table and chairs . The large flat screen TV is mounted on the wall,offering local channels and a satellite option , there is a DVD player ,Ipod tower/speaker.There is a Nespresso machine provided ,kettle and toaster .

The bathroom is tiled and has a stand up shower in a cubicle , WC, free toiletries are provided and White bathrobes and towels
.The automatic washing machine is located in the bathroom .

The spectacular private terrace boasts some of the best views looking north into the National Marine park and south looking back towards the small port of Kalamakia and directly across the crystal clear waters to the island of Peristera.
The terrace offers comfortable loungers, a large umbrella and there is a table and chairs for alfresco dining .
The small and quiet beach direcly in front of the villa can be reached by a few steps to the side of the villa .On the beach you will find your own 2 sun loungers and umbrella positioned in front of the villa .
A small boat can be moored here (bookable through us) ready to explore the wonderful coastline and beaches.
The outside area also offers a charcoal BBQ and a traditional outdoor style BBQ,

The villa has a parking area behind and is accessed from here down a small stepped path . please note this is not suitable for persons with walking difficulties.

1km away is the wonderful fishing port of Kalamakia , where you will find 4 tavernas offer the fresh local catch of the day. Its a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive where there is plenty of parking.
A further 5 minute drive is the lively and quaint port of Steni Vala where there is an array of restaurants , cafes , 1 mininmarket offering also fresh produce and fresh baked breads and delicacies .If you wish to Scuba dive, one of the islands scuba schools is based here , offering PADI lessons and courses.
There are 3 beaches you can visit from here , The small beach in the port , Agios Petros a 10 minute walk round a small footpath from the port or the lovely beach of Glyfa to the back of the port.

The main port of Patitiri is a 15 minute drive away and here you will find a lively and bustling small town with plenty of restaurants and cafes , shops and supermarkets , the post office and the National bank of Greece . There is a small beach in the port and is a great place to swim . The Alonissos pirate museam is above the small beach in Patitiri , well worth a visit.

The Hora also called the old town of Alonissos is 3 km from Patitiri and a visit here is a must , explore the old streets and look at the history of this lovely village which was almost destroyed by the earthquake in 1965. Now is almost renovated by many nationalities and there are many restaurants and cafes here all boating the views and the best sunsets.

Alonissos has many walking trails that you can follow with a guide book or a walkers map that are sold locally .

There are also other activities such as Kayaking , Snorkeling, excursions into the marine park to see the stunning newly renovated monastery on the neighboring island of Kyria Panagia and meet the resident monk and learn some of its history and stories.There are small boats to hire , cars ,ATVS and scooters from our office Alonissos travel in the port of Patitiri.

Trips to the other islands are also possible in the summer when there are a good selection of boats moving around
