Charming 19th century mas in Provence

St Étienne du Grès is at the foot of the Alpilles, close to St Rémy de Provence, to Arles, Nîmes or Avignon.
This calm village of Provençal aromas.
I chose to renovate this mas w/ natural materials which favour calm & well-being.
It‘s ideal for persons suffering from respiratory problems, stress or fatigue of for young children. Geothermal underground heating & air conditioning.
In this mas great volumes were favoured & the authenticity of the site is married w/ ultra modern comfort.
on the ground floor: living room w/ chimney, living area, 1 bedroom w/ bathroom, 1 kitchen, 1 wc.
upstairs: 2 bedrooms for adults, 1 for children, 1 bathroom, 1 shower, 1 wc.

A pool of 9 x 4m will bring you well-being & relaxation.

Possibility of renting the services of a cook to discover the art of Provençal culinary tradition.

Take note: Holidays: Arles(April), Nimes (Pentecost), pilgrimage of the gypsies Saintes Marie de la Mer (May), Avignon festival.


The Mas de Muscadelles is more than 150 years old; I have tried to conserve the authenticity of the place whilst bringing it maximum comfort.
Light shines in everywhere there isn't a shutter but there are large secured bay windows.
On the ground floor you'll have a large 72 sq.m living area w/ ceilings 6m high w/ a large library which has books for children, adults, historical, novels, DVDs CDs. There is a large chimney in the middle of the room.
A living room w/ sofa for 4 persons & a 'Love Seat', fine wood table.
A small Peruvian living area w/ 2 armchairs & a table.
The dining room is equipped w/ a large octagonal table,
a bedroom in chocolate & cream tones w/ walk-in shower looking outwards, this bedroom is calm & relaxing (140 bed).

The kitchen is modern in red & grey, you can have a snack, coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher, oven, microwave are there to make your holidays easier.

Upstairs: 1 bedroom of 25 sq.m awaits you w/ a four poster mahogany bed white canopy (bed of 180). 1 Adjoined bathroom w/ 2 bowl sinks, 1 Walk-in shower & 1 bathtub.
1 mauve & burgundy bedroom of 17sq.m w/ desk & young & modern side (bed of 160).
1 children's bedroom w/ a boat bed, 1 library, 1 desk & games for boys & girls are there for the children's pleasure.
Outside there is a pool of 9m/4m which will relax you.

De beaux souvenirs

Très beau mas provencal au calme au pied des Alpilles. Les pièces sont très agréables à vivre. Beaucoup de volume. La maison est très bien entretenue et ne réserve aucune mauvaise surprise. Bien au contraire. Elle est très bien équipée, le linge de maison est fourni, y compris pour la piscine, et elle est joliment aménagée, Très beau jardin avec oliviers pour rester à l´ombre à lire. Une vraie piscine carrelée couverte, aérée et agrémentée d´un beau mobilier . Un bijou. Les propriétaires du mas sont adorables. Un magnifique séjour duquel on ramène de beaux souvenirs.

Trois semaines de rêve avec famille, enfants en bas âge, amis, dans une maison agencée à merveille ( literie, cuisine, sécurité) au cours desquelles nous n'avons pas souffert de la canicule grâce à une piscine sous toiture, à bonne température et à une maison rafraichie par le sol. Le lieu est idéalement placé pour visiter Nîmes, Arles et Avignon et pour ceux qui s'intéressent à la France romaine.

The Provence dream

The property has real character and is beautifully presented. We enjoyed the sense of space and openness. The furnishing and decoration have clearly been chosen with great care, and there is a modern kitchen. The pool is a particular highlight - outdoor but in an open barn providing ample shade. The location proved to be a great base from which to explore the area.

Nous avons passé cinq jours dans une demeure extraordinaire, décorée avec goût et très bien équipée. La piscine, le jardin, le barbecue et la table de ping-pong ont été appréciés par tous! Les propriétaires sont absolument charmants et soucieux du bien-être de leurs hôtes. Nous reviendrons volontiers!

Un adorable mas dans un site enchanteur...un accueil chaleureux....Intérieur chaleureux, soigné, très propre....Une cuisine pratiquement neuve, parfaitement équipée...Une salle à manger avec une table ronde fabuleuse, presque trop belle pour une location !!! Un immense salon avec des divans hyper confortables, une cheminée...donnant sur un petit champ d'oliviers...Une magnifique piscine couverte.... La propriétaire charmante qui nous a même téléphoné pour savoir si tout se passait bien !!! Je recommanderais cette location à un ami soigneux ...Ce mas est très beau, très confortable et meublé de fort belles choses... Nous y retournerons...

Très belles maison et piscine, beau jardin mais...

L’accueil chaleureux d’Alex a été gâché par une chaleur humide intense dans la maison. La climatisation ne marchait pas et n’a pas marché durant tout notre séjour (3 semaines) malgré les visites répétées du réparateur totalement inefficace ! Si j’ai loué cette maison c’est parce qu’elle avait une piscine chauffée et la climatisation. Nous avions avec nous deux personnes âgées (80 et 88 ans) et un bébé de 2 ans. Nous avons eu des températures externes de plus de 35°. A l’intérieur cela ne descendait pas en dessous de 26°-27°. Et comme c’était une chaleur humide la plus part du temps… Le réparateur a finalement agit et le résultat a été que si nous laissions la clim plus d’1h30 on avait une inondation sur le carrelage en particulier dans la SDB et le cabinet de toilette de l’étage. Un peu dans les chambres aussi et la cuisine. Le carrelage se transformait en patinoire !! Notre bébé de 2 ans en a fait la rude expérience avec une belle chute dans la SDB et s’est violemment heurté la tête. Donc surveillance continue et obligés d’arrêter la clim sans arrêt. Tout cela pour obtenir une température de 25°-26° au mieux. Le seul moment ou la température était supportable c’était le matin à 6h quand nous ouvrions les fenêtres du rez-de-chaussée. La maison a beaucoup de charme, le jardin est superbe, et la piscine est très agréable. Attention tout de même à ne pas oublier de mettre des chaussures lorsque vous marchez sur la plage en carrelage de la piscine. Si elle est mouillée c’est une vraie patinoire. Les propriétaires sont charmants et adorables et prêts à vous rendre service si vous en avez besoin.

Une adresse à conseiller !

Un très joli mas, spacieux et charmant en tous points, décoré avec goût par la propriétaire qui nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Il est rare de pouvoir bénéficier dans une location de vacances de toutes les commodités qui nous sont si chères au quotidien, c'est le cas ici ! La piscine chauffée est un plus qui a été fort apprécié pendant notre séjour !

Vacances en famille dans une superbe propriété. Belle situation à proximité de sites touristiques de qualité et plaisir de vivre dans une maison confortable et conviviale. Le plus : la piscine chauffée en octobre ! Même avec le mistral, c'est un régal.

Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances en famille! L'accueil par la propriétaire est très chaleureux avec un repas préparé en prime! La maison est très agréable,bien entretenue, avec de très beaux volumes et décorée avec goût.Le tout correspondait parfaitement au descriptif...à recommander chaudement!A noter une jolie piscine abritée du soleil et chauffée ce qui permet d'en profiter à toute heure! Cerise sur le gâteau: il y a énormément de visites à faire dans les environs proches et pour tous les goûts

grandiose et paisible:Provence sous la neige

La maison est immense, calme et agréable. Nous avons passé un bon séjour même si c'était sous la neige. L'acceuil était très sympathique avec un apéritif en guise de bienvenue.
