We stayed here for the month of March, and it truly was a wonderful experience. Davide was an exceptional host, arranging a driver to pick us up at the airport, meeting us upon arrival at the apartment and taking the time to walk us through everything. He generously shared his recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, which helped us fully enjoy and appreciate Sicilian culture.The apartment is in an ideal location—Kalsa —which is the old city—within walking distance to almost anything—which made exploring easy and enjoyable. The apartment is very well situated in a quiet neigbourhood, very close to the coast (3m walk) and a short walking distance to the most important places in the city. David is a great host who takes the time to tell you about the most interesting places to visit. We definately recommend this apartment.

Beautiful stay

We had a great time. The apartment was terrific and had everything you could want or need. Davide was an awesome host and helped with planning our trip in the area. He went out of his way to bring a plug to us in town that we left in the apartment by accident. Definitely would come back here.

Perfect for Palermo

Perfect Location

Davide is a wonderful host. He arranged for airport transport and met us at the apartment early. He gave us great ideas where to eat and what to see. He was very quick to follow up on WhatsApp. The dishwasher does not work. And the small patio is not usable.

Great place, even better property manager

The property was in a great location with plenty to do near by. It was clean and cozy as well, AC was important as it was HOT outside!!! Above all Davide was amazing! He organized a driver to pick us up and drop us off at the airport. When we arived well before check in time he showed us a local café and had espressos with us while giving us great advice on local pleaces to eat. Before, during, and after our stay Davide was very responsive.

The apartment is in a great location in the heart of old Palermo. A few blocks from the water front and a grocery store close by.Davide was an excellent host. He was always responsive to our questions and he was there when we arrived to provide us all the information we needed for the apartment as well as a lot of good insight on things to do in Palermo. He even suggested staying another night for the Santa Rosalia day which is a religious event that sees thousands of people line the streets as well as an amazing fireworks. It was a highlight of our vacation so we are very appreciative of Davide's suggestion.The air conditioning worked well which was very important after returnng from sight seeing during the the hot summer days.

We could not have asked for a better location or host!

This apartment was WONDERFUL, and our host, Davide, was a big part of that. The place itself was lovely, absolutely, and had everything we needed---but even more than that, Davide anticipated our needs for everything from room temperature to recommendations of things to do and places to eat-- We will be coming back, and when we do, this is where we will stay! The best of Palermo's centro at your doorstep!

We knew that this trip was off to a great start before we even stepped foot in Davide's "Casetta Allora UNESCO itinerary" vacation rental. Davide's kind attention to our questions and queries throughout the rental process, in addition to offering advice from his well-informed experience as a Palermitano, were invaluable. When we arrived, he met us at our car and helped carry our luggage to the flat. And, what a lovely flat it is! Spacious, well-accommodated and a great space to return to at the end of the day. More importantly, the location is exceptional for anyone who is interested in the layers of history and complexity that make up the Kalsa neigborhood. Important sites are literally minutes away (Palazzo Abetellis, Palazzo Butera, to name just a few). For lovers of art and architecture, you couldn't find a better home base in the Centro. But once again it comes down to the people you meet and we are so thrilled to have encountered such a wonderful host as Davide.

Very excellent place to stay

This apartment, situated in the historic part of Palermo, has everything a traveller would hope to find while away from home. It is well stocked from linens to utentils, from washing machine to internet connection, all is present and in excellent condition. It makes exploring the town so easy, as so many sites are within walking distance from the apartment. A few steps, and you are at the waterfront in one direction, and the hussle and bussle of crazy, beautiful Palermo awaits you in the other direction, only minutes away. A walk to the Duomo is about 20 minutes, the railway station is walk-able also. In other words, the location is ideal for exploring the town and its sites. The apartment is quiet, very clean, very comfortable to come back to from a day of sightseeing. Have we mentioned the wonderful owners? They are available and ready to help with any question or desire you maight have. They speak English, French, and, of course, Italian. We can highly recomment this great apartment at a truly good price.

Die Wohnung befindet sich in Kalsa, einem der ältesten Stadtteile Palermos und ist sehr günstig gelegen. Man erreicht in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt, und in drei Minuten ist man an der Uferpromenade. Zahlreiche Restaurants sowie ein großer Supermarkt befinden sich in der Nähe. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber.

A Wonderful Apartment With The Perfect Hosts!

One can only hope for the great experience we had staying in this lovely apartment, situated in a fabulous neighborhood, and having the opportunity to meet such nice people as Davide and Donatella. Despite a delay in our flight connection to Palermo, Davide arranged a driver to collect us at the airport and take us to the apartment at 1 AM. There we we treated with fresh food and a warm greeting. The apartment had all the charm and the necessary amenities to to add to our enjoyment of the city and it's surroundings. Davide shared his passion for Palermo offering us sound advice on places to visit and the their storied histories. Thank you Davide and Donatella for everything and your delightful company at Nautoscopio!!

Sehr nette Vermieter, die sich viel Zeit für die Einführung nahmen und uns hilfreiche Tipps gaben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Ausstattung war sehr gut, einzig die sanitären Anlagen sind verbesserungswürdig. Dass wir vor der Tür, auf dem Hof, parken konnten, hatten wir nicht erwartet. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

appartement tout à fait conforme à la description. Propre, bien agencé, situé dans un immeuble entiérement rénové. Cette location est située dans un quartier touristique , prés des transports en commun. Les propriétaires sont des personnes charmantes à l'écoute des vacanciers. Comme cela avait été proposé , ils sont venus nous chercher à l'aéroport et reconduit à la fin du séjour. On peut réserver cette location en toute confiance.

Lovely flat!

I have had the pleasure of staying 3 weeks in this lovely apartment. It was very clean, well layed out, with all modern facilities, in a beautiful part of old Palermo. Both shopping, restaurants and a lovely park near by. Il proprietario could not be more helpful! I highly recommend this flat both to a single person, a couple or a family.

Casetta Alloro alla Kalsa

la Casetta Alloro ha una posizione veramente strategica: in piena Kalsa (uno dei rioni storici) e a due passi dal lungomare, stazione/mercati/cattedrale/chiesa della martorana/piazza marina e tanto altro a pochi minuti di passeggiata e chi vuole andare ad ammirare il famoso affresco "Il trionfo della morte" non ha che da attraversare la strada... Palazzo Abatellis è lì! L'appartamento è praticamente nuovo, funzionale e dotato di tutte le comodità; i proprietari, neanche a dirlo, sono come la maggior parte dei palermitani, gentili e disponibili e al contempo discretissimi. Non so voi, ma io quando tornerò a Palermo farò di tutto per alloggiare ancora a Casetta Alloro. buon viaggio a tutti! roberto (roma)
