We stayed for a week in September and chose the property for privacy and close to Geres. The house was very clean and spacious with really comfortable beds and bedding, we both slept well. Some of the property needs improvement, the couch is old and has a musty smell and the pool is missing many tiles.The garden is beautiful and more mature than in the photos. We loved seeing the wide variety of butterflies and birds that came to visit. Below the garden is a boggy field with the riverbank.You can't access the lake but again there is nice wildlife nearby.The area is generally quiet although more lively at weekends when there are people on boats sometimes playing music or using jetskis. Some dog barking, music and construction noise locally but always quiet within the house.There is a path from the village down to a small rocky beach area. This is shown in the owner's pictures. We had a car and visitied Geres park from here, Braga and hired a boat to go around the lake. Overall we had a nice relaxing time and came back refreshed.
