WHAT A VIEW from the HOT TUB!

Long-range mountain views are included with this comfortable renovated 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom mountain view cabin in the treetops! Only 15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge or the Toccoa River, 20 minutes to downtown Ellijay and about 55 minutes to Helen. Recent renovation including new granite counters in the kitchen & bathrooms, new stainless kitchen appliances, a new top-grain leather sofa & loveseat for the family room, and a new king size bed in the master bedroom! We bought this cabin in 2005 and it continues to be a special place for our family. We want you to experience the enchantment and adventure that the cabin and the area offer!

From the covered back porch, you will feel like you're in a treehouse! Enjoy the relaxing hot tub, a 3-person swing, rocking chairs and beautiful mountain views! The large family room has a gas-log fireplace, a 50 inch smart cable TV with over 100 channels, ceiling fan, leather sofa & loveseat and a comfy recliner. Horseback riding facilities, waterfalls, hiking trails, zip-lining, tubing and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (open-air train rides) are all nearby! The Benton Mackaye trail runs right through the mountain that the cabin sits on! There are also several lakes within hiking distance and wildlife abounds! Many of our guests have seen bears, deer and wild turkeys on the property.

The cabin has central heat and air conditioning for your comfort. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size pillow top mattress and the guest bedroom has a comfy queen size pillow top mattress. Both bedrooms are on the main level! The master bedroom has a private full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and another flat screen cable TV. The guest bedroom has a private shower and sink, and the hallway half-bath with a toilet and sink is located just outside of the guest bedroom. In the basement, there is another comfortable queen bed and two twin/single beds! In the unfinished (but clean) section of the basement there is a Ping-pong table, a Foosball table and a private half-bathroom recently added! There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and the cabin interior has beautiful pine floors, walls and ceilings, no drywall. A paved driveway and parking pad with room for up to 4 cars, and no-steps easy entry into the cabin!

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature at "The Bear's Lair" cabin in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains! Don't forget your firewood for the firepit or it can be bought locally. Exterior security cameras are in use (out front only). Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are on each floor for your safety. About 90 minutes north of Atlanta. No pets allowed. Please note that the posted rates are good for up to 4 people. There are extra fees for more than 4 guests. You must enter the correct number of guests to get accurate pricing. Thank you!

Posted rates are good for up to 4 people. There are additional fees for more than 4. No pets allowed. No parties. No rearranging furniture.
No loose trash is allowed in the outdoor garbage can. ONLY bagged trash in large kitchen bags. They retrieve by hand. NO water bottles, paper cups etc
If furniture is moved or loose trash is put in the outdoor garbage can, we have to drive up to take care of it at a charge of $150.00 from deposit.

I am very pleased with our stay! All the instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. The cabin itself was so cozy and the view was beautiful! Note to others who stay: take the scenic route on the way out in! It was amazing!

Great place amazing views

We went up for Valentines weekend. House was very clean and had an amazing view off the deck. The weather was not good but we had a wonderful time because the house felt like we were at home and very comfortable. Definitely recommend this place when staying in Blue Ridge.

Great cabin for our small family!

We really enjoyed the property. It was perfect for our family of four. It's location was perfect for getting to downtown Blue Ridge, Mercier Orchards, and various hiking trails. Our kids loved the floorplan and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub enjoying the views. The property was very well kept and had everything we needed. We will definitely look to stay there when we come back!

Cozy Cabin on the Mountain

We had a great couple of nights here! Ed was extremely responsive and helpful, and the cabin was as cozy and clean as advertised. Gorgeous views off the back porch, and tons of privacy made it feel like we were miles away from civilization. This trip was exactly what we needed! 10/10 highly recommend!

Wonderful!

We had such a great time a this cabin. The view was beautiful and we loved having our coffee outside and watching the sunrise over the mountains. The cabin felt private and secluded but was close to downtown. This was a very relaxing stay and we would definitely come back. I also really appreciate that Ed was such a great host!

Very nice mountain getaway to renew, relax & rejuvenate. The cabin is very clean, has a great view and provides a comfortable environment. Part of the drive up to the cabin is a gravel road, but just take your time, it's fine.

Relaxing comfort with a view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only thing we had to bring was ourselves. Everything else was provided. Even the hot tub which we used every day after our hiking adventures! Can’t wait to come back.

Fall Getaway

This property is nice if you want secluded woodsy escape. Clean and well stocked with supplies to our surprise. We brought many necessities but this property had all we needed and then some. Owner actually called to check in and sent us a picture of our car from his front security camera! We had a nice time and the view is beautiful from the deck!

Amazing!

This place was amazing. Super clean and they thought of everything you might possibly need. Ed, the owner checked in with us to be sure we had averything we needed.. only downside, was the road in, it had been raining and with all the leaves that were falling, it was a little slick in a couple of places but slow and steady, we made it in and out without a problem. We will definitely stay here again!

Exactly what we were hoping for!

This cabin was perfect for my adult daughter and I to enjoy a Blue Ridge Mountain adventure. The cabin is very clean and attractively decorated. We appreciated that there was a washer and dryer available to use. The view from the front porch is awesome and we saw a couple of deer right underneath us! There are many great attractions, cute shops and hiking trails nearby. We also took a day trip to Chattanooga, TN. Ed was very easy to reach and responsive if we needed anything. I am sure anyone would enjoy this cabin.

Amazing view and hospitality

The cabin was beautiful and the view off of the back porch stunning!! Mr. Garcia went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and suggested some places to go and things to do!! Although we did not bring our children, I did notice they have plastic cups and plates for those who choose to bring kids which I thought was nice to have! We saw deer off the back balcony as well as on the drive up and down to the cabin. It is only about 15 minutes to downtown blue ridge and the same to Ellijay! We did not want to leave from this beautiful place!! We will definitely be back!!! :D Thank you so much again for a wonderful stay and beautiful home!!

Excellent experience

We always wanted the experience of staying in a cabin. This was our family’s first time and we loved it! The owner was wonderful as well. We were slated to go back in July of 2021. I found out 2 weeks before we were to leave that I had stage 2 ovarian cancer and had to have surgery right away. I contacted Mr. Garcia and he let us move our stay to the following year. When our stay was over he reached out to make sure everything was good. I highly recommend staying here!

Vacation in the mointains

Overall our stay was nice. We wish someone had informed us of the condition of the road to the house. It was very bumpy/potholes and dusty. If we had taken out sports car we couldn’t have made it to the house. Beds were very soft. Be ware that you are watched entering and leaving the house. The hot tub was very clean and relaxing with a beautiful view. The main level of the house was comfortable and well stocked with supplies. Saw deer,turkeys hummingbirds and turtles.

Nice cabin

Nice cabin, comfortable, with most everything you need. Check-in was easy. Communication with owner was prompt and friendly. Location was good. Close to everything in the area. Lots of wildlife on the drive to and from the cabin. The roads in and out are rough. The biggest negative is that there is nothing to do at the cabin. Down an extremely narrow stairway, there are Pingpong and foosball tables downstairs in an area that is under repairs. If you open that backdoor down there, there is a narrow porch, but it's not a space to sit out or anything. There is no maintained yard area. The firepit is right in front of the cabin and that's it. To oneside there is a swing for kids, but it is not maintained. There is a hottub, we used it, but the chemicals were really strong (it bleached a bathingsuit from green to gray) so that was a one and done situation. You can't walk the property. We didn't spend much time at the cabin, which was somewhat disappointing.

You can hike from our cabin front door for about one mile and actually get onto the Benton Mackaye Trail! There are also numerous water falls in Fannin county to explore! Only a 15 minute drive to Downtown Blue Ridge where you can enjoy so many wonderful shops and restaurant options! About one hour to Helen, GA.
