Nice stay. More than enough instructions. Whoever is renting stay, please read about the parking options ahead so that parking can be planned accordingly
My husband and I came to see the College World Series in Omaha. We had a wonderful time. The house was so nice and located close to Old Market and the stadium. Owner was truly nice and very responsive to all our questions. Hope to stay here again.
This house is so close to downtown which is super nice. It is well equipped and beds were comfortable Owner was very good at communicating and answering question.
We have rented this unit before and hope to again. It is as advertised - clean and spacious in a fantastic area. Close to so many good restaurants and shops in the Old Market, near the airport (but not too near), and just a great area. As stated, we will be back!
The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was easy to come and go from The Old Market/Capitol District. Everything was as expected from pictures/descriptions.
Didn’t spend a lot of time at the house, but enjoyed the convenience of the location, accuracy of the listing, and the detailed description of everything.
With the super hot days, we found the 72 degree limit on the thermostat to be a little to warm for sleeping upstairs...fans were helpful.

Oh, that's too bad. You could definitely have lowered the temperature. I wish you had contacted me. There's no arbitrary limit on hot or cold. Your wife said you loved the place, LOL. But please visit again. You were a great guest. Lower the AC as low as you want!

Clean and comfortable
Everything was great except the kitchen supplies. It would be helpful to have measuring spoons, potato peeler, mixer, and more spoons. We were having a Thanksgiving dinner, however, so our cooking needs may have been more than the average guest.
We really liked that it was close to Old Market which was very fun.

That's so funny. Most people say I have too many kitchen supplies. Hey, what can you do. Maybe you folks didn't see the extra set of utensils underneath the top set of utensils in the utensils drawer. Sorry about that. But, for the record, the house does have all the supplies mentioned. For future guests: just ask me during your visit if you can't find anything. Thanks.
3 Friends and I came to Omaha for a concert. The place was really for our stuff and showering as we did not spend a lot of time at the house. It is with in walking distance to restaurants and breweries, and that was a nice perk. I will say the "4th" bedroom is in the storage side of the basement and none of us wanted to sleep in there as it was super loud and had a very different vibe from the whole house. The couch sufficed for the 2 nights at the house. There are not any main floor bathrooms, not a big deal, just with it was on the listing. I only had to communicate with the owner once, to to send photos from the house of a couple stains on the stairs and a small hole on the wall. Again, not a big deal, but the 8 page check in instructions led me to believe I needed to make sure I CYA. All in all is was a good stay.

Weird. I never received any communiques from you nor photos. I would have responded promptly. There are four beds in the house, including the futon couch. The extra bedroom in the storage room is for kids, though there is an extra futon in there. The house is only $199 per night to rent before discount, so all in all it's quite the bargain compared to having to rent hotel rooms for all the guests. You didn't mention that.

Mediocre
We enjoyed our time at this townhome! The location was good...very near shopping, dining, the zoo and easy access to major highways. Also good was the neighborhood. People were very friendly. The local Italian bakery was wonderful! The townhome itself had a lot of space. It was fairly clean, but not quite up to my standards. There was quite a bit of leftover food in the refrigerator and dog hair on the furniture. Broken glass was on the floor because the maid broke a wine glass and didn't clean it up very well.
The basement bedroom was very quiet, but it smelled like sewage. There is an air freshener you can turn on to help with the odor. The bathroom down there was dark with only one bulb working, so it was difficult to see to put on makeup, shower, etc.
The main level had the kitchen, dining room and cozy family room. This was our favorite area of the house. The upstairs had 2 nice-sized bedrooms, but the trains are VERY loud, as well as the neighbors who stayed up well past 2 a.m., so bring earplugs! One of the bedrooms has a mattress that sags in the middle too, so hope you like your spouse because you'll be sleeping very close to each other! The most disappointing part of this house for us was the fact that there are really only 3 bedrooms. There is a storage room with a 4 ft ceiling that has a futon mattress in it. However, there are no windows in there and you cannot stand up...completely against fire code to have anyone sleep in there! We had our son sleep on the couch instead. Wifi was spotty. It worked best upstairs.
Overall, our stay was ok. It served our purpose but was a bit disappointing.

This is a very weird and atypical response. I think, if I am not mistaken, it has something to do with this guest not getting their deposit back from the credit card company. Guest changed her card. I asked her to check with the credit card company or VRBO to resolve, since I returned deposit in full on time. She punished me with this grossly inaccurate and mean-spirited review. Obviously, I would recommend never renting to this person, lest you get the same treatment. I bent over backwards to make the visit splendid for this guest, to no avail. Now let's go through lies point by point. 1. As for leftover food, I am not sure what guest means. I do live in home when there are no guests, so I keep condiments in a special place. Also, if food is not spoiled, I deliberately instruct cleaners to leave it, so next guest has food at arrival (e.g., eggs, milk). I don't think guest has a handle on home sharing. It's a home, not a hotel. 2. I never heard about the broken glass. I always ask guests upfront to let me know if ANYTHING is not to their satisfaction. I am very proactive and deal with things immediately. For some reason, this guest decided to write a nasty review instead of getting in touch with me right away to solve anything that was not absolutely perfect. I am super anal about everything. So, the response is just passive-aggressive. 3. I have never heard about the sewage smell. I sleep in the basement and have never had this smell. I should have been alerted to this, but wasn't by guest. 4. I have never heard any complaints about the neighbors. This is a very quiet development. I need to know who these mystery neighbors are. 5. Yes, the fourth bedroom is for CHILDREN. I make that very clear. It is not an official fourth bedroom, as I make clear, but one can use it for kids. 6. There are TWO beds in the downstairs bedroom. So, plenty of beds, plenty of places to sleep. I am starting to wonder if this guest violated the guest limit protocol. 7. I've never heard anything bad about the WiFi. I pay for the highest possible WiFi service. Overall, this seems like an act of revenge because I was powerless to resolve the deposit, which I returned on time. It was to a defunct card, which guest needed to resolve. So, this seems like a guest who really had it in for me for this or some perverse reason. Also, this is a person who does not understand the nature of home sharing. I would strongly recommend to my fellow home-sharers to never, ever rent to this person.
The property is located conveniently to old downtown. We had all the amenities needed, except for wine glasses 😂 only two in the entire array of cups and glasses. We dined out in restaurants suggested by the owner and his suggestions were on point. We cooked breakfast and took our time getting our days started. Totally relaxing!
Very clean and comfortable multilevel townhouse. Walking distance to Old Market, Amtrack and Durham Museum. Owner clearly communicates expectations and HOA rules.
This townhome was perfect for our girlfriend getaway. There were five of us and with one willing to stay in the "bedroom of sorts," which was cool, dark, and comfy, we all had our own bed. The location is great. The property looks great on the inside and outside and has everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay.
The location is great. It is a very quiet, clean, beautiful area within walking distance of downtown. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, time around the dining room table, and relaxing in the living room. Having three bathrooms for five women was also a plus.
The owner, James, was extremely communicative, responsive, and accommodating.
We definitely enjoyed our stay in Omaha and at this home. We recommend to groups staying in the fun city of Omaha for a long or short while.
The property was conveniently located and had plenty of room for us. The book collection made me want to get snowed in for a week or more. :-)

Why they chose this property
I bought this property because it is close to the Old Market and all major transportation, yet it has a warm, secure, and quiet neighborhood feel. It's the best of both worlds in the hippest part of Omaha, which is adding new attractions almost every month, including fabulous cafes, restaurants, a year-round farmers market, and the new location for the Blue Barn Theater.
What makes this property unique
Clean, new, near Old Market, in a wonderfully hip, quiet, creative, yet old-world ethnic neighborhood. Walking distance from the College World Series, CHI Health Center, and Gene Leahy Mall. It is a short drive to Creighton University, the CB casinos, and the Henry Doorly Zoo.
