Black Bear is a 2-bedroom log cabin located in Gatlinburg (quick, easy access- only 5 minutes from downtown) with clubhouse and seasonal swimming pool access. Located in Black Bear Falls Resort, Black Bear sits in a gorgeous wooded setting with terrific mountain views. The cabin has two king size beds along with a queen size sofa sleeper which combined can sleep up to six guests. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. The cabin also includes a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, and a hot tub on the deck. The level driveway will accommodate 2-3 cars and there is only 1 step to enter the cabin. Black Bear's location is convenient to Food City (grocery store), Arts and Craft Community, and Pigeon Forge (including easy access to the back roads for the peak seasons). This close location sets guests close to everything making Black Bear great for a romantic getaway or family vacation.

Please note Black Bear is a NON-SMOKING AND NO PET cabin, strictly enforced.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Checkout is 10 A.M. In Winter: please put thermostat back to 65, (it should be "heat" & "auto") In Summer: please put thermostat up to 78, (it should be "cool" & "auto")
Clean & put away all dishes. (to save time run the dishwasher the night before) Remove all trash to outside bear-proof container. (don't forget to empty the refrigerator/freezer)
Put all dirty/wet towels in nearest tub. Make sure the hot tub temperature is lowered to 100 and the cover is on and secure. Check for personal items in washer/dryer. Lock the door. Thank you

Family vacation

We wanted to stay away from all the tourist in Gatlinburg & be in a quiet location. This cabin was perfect! It was a short drive from everywhere we wanted to go. Wish we would have booked the cabin longer. We saw a black bear wondering around cabins by us. Made our stay perfect!

Nice little cabin. Lots of other cabins around, we could hear others. Not as secluded as we would have liked. The furniture was not comfortable. Cushions on the couches have lost their support and the rocking chairs on the back deck were hard and did not rock with any fluidity or ease. The bed mattresses were too hard for our backs and hips. The cabin was clean, but a little dark and dated.

Great cabin and location

We loved our stay this past weekend and had such a nice getaway. The cabin was very clean and well represented in the pictures. There are quite a few roads that wind to get to the cabin and some of our night drives were a little scary, but we managed it! We were hoping to see some bears, but weren’t lucky! Would love to come back again!

Relaxing, quiet getaway

We enjoyed our stay while in Gatlinburg at Black Bear Cabin. I would have appreciated extra pillows in the upstairs bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Cabin could use some updates and a good deep cleaning. My brother-in-law had to go buy a step so we could get in and out of the jacuzzi.

Visiting Gatlinburg Convention Center

We enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Cabin. The cabin is a bit remote if you are visiting the Convention Center, but it is in a quiet area away from the crowds. AC works great if you are on the first floor, but difficult to cool the upstairs bedroom without overcooling the first floor. Towels need to be replaced. Would be convenient to have a few dishwasher pods available on check-in.

Cute rustic cabin in the hills :-)

We loved almost everything about the cabin ! There were 4 adults and we loved having 2 separate bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms :-) we also loved having the King size beds :-) The only thing that was not my favorite was the fact that the top floor bedroom/bathroom seemed to be more for kids...not necessarily the bedroom decor but the bathroom didn't have things for adults...like a hair dryer. The master bedroom seemed to be more equipped for adults. Otherwise, we had a great time and loved the amenities. It was also a great location from the places we wanted to go. The problems we had were liars in the cabin when we arrived. They were not in what we brought in since our food supplies were all sealed. We also felt you need towels that dried you. All cotton would certainly be better. The kitchen was well equipped, we ate almost all of our meals there.

We have lived in different parts of the United States and feel there is no place that matches the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

What makes this property unique

Black Bear Falls Resort kept the natural beauty and added ponds and cascading waterfalls. While our kids have enjoyed swimming in the pool, one of their most favorite activities is feeding the fish and ducks. Our whole family enjoys walking around the community keeping track of all the wildlife we see.
