About this property

Sapphire Canyon Vineyard Guest House

The Guest House at Sapphire Canyon Vineyard was taken down to studs and completely renovated in 2014. Located on a working vineyard, this modern 2BR, 1BA house comfortably sleeps four. The two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the second with a queen bed, have ultra-comfy premium mattresses with down comforters and cozy robes. The living room is spacious for lounging around after a long day of wine tasting, bicycle riding or shopping. We love to cook and have stocked the kitchen accordingly. Also, there is an outdoor grill and dining area to enjoy.

For exercise, hike the many trails on the 55+ acre property or walk the quiet street across from the property for a more leisurely activity. For the adventuresome, the property is on Santa Rosa Bicycle Club’s Dry Creek, Alexander Valley bicycle ride noted as one of the Three Great Cycle Rides in Sonoma County by Suzie Rodriguez.

You are across the street from one of Dry Creek's oldest wineries and minutes away from Geyserville with four gourmet restaurants – Catelli’s (featured on Diner’s, Drive-Inns and Dives), Diavola, Rustic at Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Geyserville Grille. It's less than 10 minutes to the Healdsburg Plaza and is on the border of Dry Creek and Alexander Valley AVA’s with their many award-winning wineries. Lake Sonoma and the iconic Dry Creek General Store (featured on Man Fire Food) are 5 minutes away.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little house near Geyserville. The owners were extremely communicative and flexible. It was nice to be in the country but with restaurants and wineries nearby. We would stay here again.

Quiet road with great views

We had a mother/daughter weekend here and really enjoyed the location. Exactly what we wanted in terms of access to our favorite wineries in Dry Creek and Alexander Valley. Really enjoyed the proximity to Geyserville and the great restaurants in the area. Also really loved our morning walks on the property and the great views! The house itself was very well stocked and the beds were quite comfy!

Great location. Beautiful views.

Pleasantly surprised as this was a last minute booking. Clean, well stocked, and a quiet abode in the middle of a winery. Be sure to jot down the gate / door codes prior to arrival, as cell service is spotty ;)

Great Wine Getaway

We loved our stay in the vineyards at Geyserville. The home is conveniently situated between Dry Creek Rd and the 101. If you're looking for a place with a view, this is your retreat after a day of wine tasting. We would definitley return.

Beautiful wine country getaway

This clean and welcoming home was a lovely retreat for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and basics, making it easy to feel right at home. The owners left a clear and thorough manual that left us with all the answers we needed, and when I had a question for them during our stay they were responsive. A wonderful family memory was made!

Perfect place to explore and experience vineyard life

This place is a gem - loved every minute of this trip! The property is roomy, quiet, comfortable, well appointed, and well located. Great hosts too - so helpful. Nice beds, bathroom, shower, closets, wall art, kitchen, and outside areas. We have never stayed in the Dry Creek region and were so glad we did. Visited lots of great new wineries. Highlights were walking Sapphire Canyon's 20 acres of vines, tasting the grapes, and seeing the Merlot harvest!

Great Place!

Thank you so much to the gracious owners Laurie and Steve for delivering a fantastic trip. Their place was spotless, their attention to detail fantastic, and whenever any little thing came up they were right on top of it. We loved that it was just warm enough to swim in the pool. I am so impressed with the way they treat their guests. I am reluctant to be so gushing because it will be harder to rent from them in the future, but they deserve everything I have said and more.

Great vineyard retreat

We visited on a last-minute getaway during the holiday season. This property appealed to us because of its beautiful natural location and nice pictures—the place is even nicer than the pictures! Well appointed kitchen, comfy bed, nice bathroom, great location amidst vineyards. We walked across the street to Pederoncelli’s tasting room. I highly recommend Sapphire! Internet is not fast, but is ok with Netflix.

Beautiful Property and Great Location

Sapphire Canyon exceeded our expectations. We participated in the Santa Rosa Ironman 70.3 Triathlon and chose this property because it was close to Lake Sonoma where the swim takes place. The house is newly renovated with new floors, crow and baseboard molding, kitchen and bathroom, and all new furniture. Located near vineyards, and convenient to Lake Sonoma, Healdsburg and lots of nearby wineries this is a perfect location to stay when visiting the area. The communication with the property owner as excellent from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Wine country get away

This property makes you feel like you are in your own vineyard. What a beautiful place to rest and relax with friends. House is right in the middle of a wonderful hillside vineyard with fantastic views of Dry Creek Valley and minutes from dozens of fantastic wineries. There is a great pool with all kinds of yard games like bean bags and horseshoes. We also used the great patio area and grilled some steaks while sipping some wine we had picked up in our travels around the valley. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks Laura and Steve for sharing this hidden gem. Jeff and Joanna
