As advertised. Great deck and fire pit. Worked well for wedding we were attending. Didn't spend a ton of time at the house but when we did we enjoyed it. Great view on deck especially in the morning and night
Very nice cabin tucked in a rock cut side of a mountain. It was very enjoyable to wale up to Lake Superior in the morning. Very clean. Perfect location to every where we needed to be. House contained everything. All we had to bring was clothes and ourselves. Thanks again to the Shaw’s for their quick response and hospitality.
Had an awesome stay up there. Nice, clean place. Great location! I would highly recommend for a couple or small family even with the cons below. Overall a great place to stay if you’re not planning to stay inside the whole time.Pros:Location, nice view, clean, cool deck overlooking the lake, nice fire pit also overlooking the lakeCons: We didn’t receive check in instructions until 5:30, the place is pretty small, you enter through a garage and then go up a flight of stairs to get there. It’s a bit hard to find in the dark even with gps on we missed it a couple times. It’s right off the highway, not super busy, but not exactly secluded either.
We have been staying at this cabin when we visit Marquette for many years, and will continue to do so. Ita always clean, and cozy. I love the big window in the livingroom to view the lake.
Came to marquette to just relax and go to some of our favorite restaurants. The place was perfect. The house was well stocked with everything we needed.
The view from the living room was amazing.

We came up for a wedding on Presque Isle. Stayed a few extra days to see the sights. This was a nice place to stay as it was close to downtown and places we wanted to see. It was great to wake up and go out on the deck to watch the morning sunrise over the water.
RCC ticked all the boxes for our MQT snow bike vacay. We loved the homey modest vibe of the cabin. Also, the hosts went above and beyond by providing charcoal and firewood. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin with us :) J and J

Great view of Lake Superior. Not accessible because if the highway but the deck makes up for that.
The tv didn’t work great, internet buffered a lot and slow to respond to remote control. Not there for the tv but nice to unwind with at night.
The location to town is very good.
Check in and out was easy and Tom is very good at responding to questions.
Relaxing evenings on the deck over looking Lake Superior was the BEST! Hoped for the auroras to show but no luck. Cooking Lake Superior whitefish in a foil pack on the grill was a plus.
Property was located easily. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small. Only access was up the steeps steeps from ground floor to house. Not handicap accessible and although neither of us was handicapped, it was difficult getting luggage up the steep stairs.
Very convenient location. The property was clean, and offered outdoor and indoor sitting and viewing areas of Lake Superior and a spectacular place to watch the sunrise. It was well stocked and would definitely stay there again.
Overall, we loved our stay in Marquette and the cabin was suitable for our needs. It could be a bit cleaner (fridge was dirty, etc), but we embraced the rustic environment like we were "glamping". Also, some minor upgrades and additions would be nice: New cookware as the the set in the cabin is badly peeling, etc. And minimal bathroom toiletries would be nice (there was no shampoo, conditioner, body soap provide and the handsoap in the bathroom was basically empty). For 200 per night, a vacation house rental should provide all the basics.
The highway is a bit busier than our last stay, but the cabin is just as lovely. Clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Roku tv entertained us in the few waking hours we were in the cabin. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!
