The Casa del Corregidor, which is located on the main street of the town, is a large 18th-century house, which was owned by the Corregidor de Santaella and served as the town's barn. It is an atypical acasa, with
large walls, vaults that supported the weight of wheat, a small patio with glazed and sliding roof, maintains the entire structure as well as the original floors and a Jewish arch. The house also has a patio with a pool and a beautiful original wall. It also has BBQ. 42 'plasma TV in living room and master bedroom, 18' plasma TV in room with disabled access, heating and air conditioning in all rooms. The house has everything you need, fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, water heater, kitchenware. Santaella is located in the nerve center of Andalusia. It is 34 kms. from Córdoba where you can visit the Mosque of Córdoba, the Alcazar de los Reyes Católicos, the Arab baths, etc. It is located about 95 km from Seville, 165 from Granada and about 95 km from Ronda.

Really lovely in every way

A fabulous property - historic, beautiful and very practical. The town is great - some nice sights, supermarket is close by but it's not too busy or touristy. The location is excellent - well placed for all the main sights (Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Málaga). And the hosts are excellent too, good communication and they really care that you have a nice time. Thank you! Highly recommend.

The most wonderful home away from home

A group of us traveled from California to La Carlota for our dear friend’s wedding and we couldn’t have been more impressed with La Casa Del Corregidor. The rooms are cozy and wonderfully comfortable. The parlor room was our favorite... we gathered to play games and relax. And we had lots of fun cooking and eating in the kitchen and dining room. Furthermore, Dolores was always willing to go the extra mile in helping us set up dinner reservations and seeing points of interest. Santaella is a beautiful town and those we met were lovely and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this house to anyone traveling to the area.

Hemos pasado tres noches en la casa del Corregidor y hemos estado muy a gusto. La casa es muy amplia y está muy bien acondicionada.Está bien situada a media hora de Écija, y próxima también a Córdoba que queda aprox. a 40 min.

Bonita estancia y pueblo acogedor

La casa cumplió las expectativas. Íbamos adultos y niños y todos se encontraron cómodos dentro de la casa. Los niños disfrutaron de la piscina y los mayores de la frescura interior de la casa. Acorde a las fotos y la descripción, ideal para un encuentro familiar. repetiremos si hay ocasión.

Family Christmas

The house easily accommodated all 10 family members for Christmas vacation. The communication and check in process went smoothly and all the directions very helpful. The house is centrally located for seeing Seville, Cordoba, and Granada but cars and a good deal of driving are needed. Not much to do in town and very few good places to eat if staying in. But all and all a nice stay.

It is a very large, interesting but noisy house.

The house is very interesting, full of beautiful artefacts. There are two main problems however, the sound isolation and lacking parking place. Since the house is in the very center of Santaella, on the main street, there is a traffic during most of the day and night. The windows do not provide any sound isolation so one hears all the noise from the street, even discussions of pedestrians. At night it was very scary to my daughter who thought that someone is actually in the house. Myself, I couldn’t sleep during the entire stay. The announcement mentions availability of a parking, however there is no dedicated parking place. The first day we were lucky to park in front of the house, however each day it was a lottery, once I ended up at a parking located a couple of hundreds of meters from the house. The house interior was clean, however the courtyard with the swimming pool was rather dirty. We happen to have very windy weather so all these dirt ended up in the swimming pool. Pepa, the house manager, cleaned up the pool in the evening of the following day, however the courtyard remained unclean. Furthermore, there is a problem with bird nests over the courtyard. The second day we found a dead little chick in the courtyard. On the fifth day there was one dead chick in the pool, which ended up my daughter swimming there. Overall, it is a house with a large potential, little shabby but with a character. However, the noise and lack of parking place make it difficult to recommend.

Charming bolt hole in Andalucia.

A luxurious experience in a charming town with plenty to see. Well appointed property. The pool courtyard was bigger and more elegant than expected.

Fantastisk hus i en fortryllende landsby

Vi var et reisefølge på ni personer. Huset var helt fantastisk flott; nydelig bassengområde, antikviteter over alt, flotte soverom mm. Vi elsket å utforske landsbyen. Bakeren holdt til fem meter fra huset, biblioteket en meter, spisestedet Lopez ca 70 meter, det flotte historiske museet ca 70 meter mm. Fabelaktig beliggenhet. Landsbyens mennesker var så vemmelige og hjelpsomme! Takk til Pepe Somoza for overbringelse av nøkkel mm. Cordoba- tur anbefales. Bussen går fra hovedtoget i byen som er ca 100 meter fra huset. Takk for oss!!! Kommer gjerne igjen.

Una estancia espectacular

La casa es aún más bonita de lo que aparece en las fotos. La decoración, el ambiente, todos quedamos encantados. La piscina es perfecta para la capacidad de la casa. Y un 10 en cuanto a limpieza, el hecho de que se pudiese fumar en la casa me preocupaba un poco por si había olor a tabaco pero absolutamente nada, al contrario da gusto que el olor de la casa al entrar sea agradable. Somos bastantes tiquismiquis con la limpieza y no nos sorprende ya que después de leer comentarios de casas de que están muy limpias, encontramos que por lo menos para nuestra idea de limpieza, dejan mucho que desear. Y aquí la sorpresa ha sido al contrario, coger una sartén y que no esté pringosa, mover el sofá , por cuestiones de espacio para la silla de ruedas de mi madre y no encontrarte nada. Lo único que puede decir, eso sí, es la barbacoa que habría que darle un repaso, supongo que también depende de los inquilinos que la usen no dejarla tal cual. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y bonitas, sábanas suaves y buenas toallas, dormimos muy bien, solo comentar que yo dormí en la habitación más grande que tiene un baño dentro y el termo del agua, no sé muy bien porque, pero se activaba cada dos por tres, incluso de noche cuando nadie hacia uso del agua, si los ruidos te molestan, mejor dormir en la habitación más separa de ese baño. La habitación adaptada para PMR, es de verdad adaptada, felicidades porque deberían de copiarle más establecimientos que dicen estar adaptados y siempre te encuentras alguna barrera, la ducha perfecta, la altura del wc, los agarres, la altura de la cama. El lavabo era normal pero la altura era correcta, mi madre ha dormido muy bien. Lo único es si vas con silla manual la entrada no ofrece problema, pero si vas con una eléctrica hay un par de bordillos que habría que salvar, pero creo que con unas pequeñas cuñas de maderas se arregla. Dolores ha sido muy amable y nos ha ayudado mucho en buscar transporte adaptado para mí madre, muchas gracias por todo. Estamos toda la familia encantados y esperamos volver pronto.

Très belle villa pour un séjour très agréable

La villa est très bien placée, dans un sympathique village au cœur de l'Andalousie, ce qui permet de visiter Séville, Grenade, Malaga et Cordoue facilement, tout en profitant des beaux paysages d'oliviers à jamais en finir. La maison est extraordinaire, à la hauteur de ce que nous avions vu sur le site. Elle est très confortable et très bien décorée, avec beaucoup de goût. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil assurée par Pepa qui s'est improvisée comme guide pour des lieux de tapas, supermarchés, etc à proximité. Cette demeure restera pour nous tous un lieu un peu magique et exceptionnel. Si vous envisagez un séjour en Andalousie, n'hésitez pas à aller à Santaelle!!! 100% conseillé!!!
