Das Paradies in der Nordprovence

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen alten Steinhaus. Der Ort Cairanne ist zum Glück nicht besonders touristisch, hat aber eine gute Infrastruktur mit kleinem, gut sortierten Laden, Bäckerei, Restaurant und mehreren Möglichkeiten, Wein zu erwerben oder auch zu probieren. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig und man ist völlig unbeobachtet für sich ganz allein. Trotzdem nur 6 Minuten zu Fuß zum Croissant am Morgen. Das Grundstück mit altem Baumbestand (Feige, Olive und Maulbeerplatane) ist märchenhaft angelegt und gibt bei jedem Sonnenstand die Möglichkeit für Sonne, Halbschatten oder Schatten. Die Ausstattung im Garten ist perfekt mit großem Esstisch unter Sonnensegeln, 4 Liegen am Pool und 2 zusätzlichen Sitzmöglichkeiten für alle Apperitv-Varianten. Ein Grill ist auch vorhanden. Alles einfach nur zum totalen Wohlfühlen. Dann der Pool (5x10m) - sensationell sauber und bilderbuchmäßig hergerichtet. Wirklich ein Traum! Im Haus fehlt es auch an nichts, es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Ein großer Kühl- / Tiefkühlschrank, eine praktische Küche, jede Menge Geschirr und im Obergeschoss, der Schlafetage, eine sehr gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Alle Fenster mit gut funktionierendem Fliegengitter. Uns hat es mächtig gut gefallen, Vielen Dank an die netten Vermieter, die uns diesen tollen Aufenthalt ermöglicht haben.

Mixed feelings

Very nice gite - only draw back was the rickety spiral staircase which we thought unsafe. The WiFi was 'iffy' but was sorted after a couple of days. It would have been convenient to have a WC on the ground floor. The BBQ was rather bizarre and complicated so we bought one in Intermarche and took it home with us. Communication with HomeAway office was very difficult and unhelpful. The phone operators do not speak clearly, talk over you and do not answer your queries. The deposit against breakages was outrageously expensive and HomeAway do not refund it promptly. We loved the gite but will definitely not use HomeAway again.

The most amazing house in a perfect little village.

This has to be one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. The house is so beautiful and the owners have such great taste. The garden is planted in such a way that it's completely private from all directions. The pool is crystal clear and the water shimmers green - I felt like Cleopatra walking down the steps into it. The village has everything you need plus a lovely restaurant and of course loads of places to try the gorgeous wine from the area. It's so easy to walk, cycle or drive to the surrounding villages or the mountains and Avignon is only 40 minutes away by car. The Eurostar goes all the way from St Pancras to Avignon so it was such an easy trip. A really lovely holiday - I would definitely recommend this house and the area.

Very pleasant

We spent nine fabulous days in this holiday home during August 2017. The house is very pleasant: it has a nice 'Provencal' design , and quiet location beautifully placed below the old walls of Cairanne. The house has a well-equipped kitchen, TV, WiFi etc. The owners kindly had placed an air cooler upstairs that helped to keep the temperature down during the heat of the French summer. The garden is very pleasant and has several areas so there is always somewhere to sit either in the sun or in the shade throughout the day. It has a very nice swimming pool of the right size for children to swim in (note that away from the pool's steps it would be too deep to stand for young children, about 1.40-1.80m deep), and for adults to cool down. We would certainly stay here again. The only reason for giving 4 rather than 5 stars is that we felt that the beds was a bit small for 2 adults and the mattresses were rather hard.

Magnifique séjour à Cairanne

J'ai passé de superbes vacances dans ce mas au charme indéniable, typique de la Provence. Cette maison, véritable havre de paix, possède toutes les qualités requises pour se ressourcer : beauté, simplicité, aménagement des espaces intérieurs et extérieurs et équipements divers. Elle est aussi idéalement située pour découvrir cette belle région que le soleil ne boude pas. Un réel coup de coeur !

Gorgeous house and great location

My partner and I stayed for a week in May. The house is gorgeous and really well equipped. The garden has lots of space for eating outdoors, and a lovely private pool. It is also well planted meaning that you are not overlooked by anybody, yet still get sun for most of the day. Its position just below the old town walls of Cairanne means that a very short walk gets you to the most magnificent hill top views, and just a few minutes walk in the other direction gets you to the local bakery, grocery store, regional wine shop and a lovely bistro. Highly recommended.

sehr schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Die Urlaubstage in diesem Ferienhaus haben wir richtig genossen. Obwohl in der Nähe des Ortes Cairanne (Bäcker zu Fuß erreichbar), liegt es uneinsehbar an einer selten befahrenen Strasse. Das Haus ist gross und hat eine schöne Küche mit allem, was man braucht. Abends kann man im Wohnzimmer gemütlich ausruhen. Eine schöne Sitzgruppe hinter dem Haus lädt morgens zum Frühstück ein und auch abends zum gemütlichen Beisammensein. Sehr schön ist der uneinsehbare Pool, den wir täglich genossen haben und allein (wie auch das Haus, da der Besitzer nicht vor Ort wohnt) nutzen konnten. Die Betreuung ist gut, und so haben wir diesen Urlaub nur in angenehmer Erinnerung.
