Charming villa with swimming pool - Saumur - Chateaux of the Loire Valley

Our villa is located on the edge of the woods and hiking trails, 600m from the village of Thoureil, 'small town character' along the Loire and classified by UNESCO in 2000, with its architectural heritage and remarkable natural.
Former stables of the property next to the 16th century, we renovated our house for more than 15 years in accordance with the natural materials of the site. It is so nice to live with this print will be on vacation in any season ...
Very quiet, large areas with trees and flowers, 60m2 terrace in the sun, half-sunken octagonal heated pool diameter 5m and 1.5m deep, with wooden terrace and landscaped around the Mediterranean (olive and lavender).
5 bikes available, including 2 for children.
In Thoureil: yacht club and walks on the Loire in traditional flat-bottomed boats, and Toue Gabarre, which once traded against the sea salt wines of Anjou.
Nearby: many gourmet restaurants and restaurants to savor cave, many wineries Angevin to visit including the famous sweet Bonnezeaux, Quarts de Chaume, Coteaux du Layon etc ... Black frame riding at Saumur.

Zeer comfortabel en charmant huis in mooi gebied

Met 2 families (totaal 7 volwassenen) een heerlijke week doorgebracht in dit comfortabele huis. Heerlijk koel binnen en prima zwembad. Ruim voldoende servies en goed geoutilleerde keuken. Lekkere bedden. Zelfs badhanddoeken beschikbaar. Dichtsbijzijnde bakker/super moet je wel met de auto heen (in dorpje alleen 2 restaurants). Vanuit het huis loop je zo het bos in. Prettige communicatie met de eigenaars

A peaceful and comfortable place to stay

The house is attractive and comfortably furnished. It is more spacious than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is well equipped. The patio area is a lovely place for meals outside and is surrounded by lovely flowering plants. The pool area is nicely laid out and a good place to relax. The hosts kindly allow you to pick tomatoes and courgettes that grow next to the pool. The village is only a 10 minute walk and is on the river. It has a great cafe and a good restaurant. Cycling is a great way to get around and see the local area. Cycling to Saumur is easy and much of the route follows a cycle/pedestrian track next to the river. The hosts were helpful and responsive on email. The only small issue was that the description of the property said that there are 4 bathrooms but, in fact, there are 2. I believe the hosts are getting this amended. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and very peaceful house.

Merci beaucoup, Clare, pour vos appréciations qui aideront nos futurs hôtes à se décider. Sur notre site de réservation originaire, nous avons bien déclaré 4 chambres, 1 salle de bain (avec 2 vasques, 1 baignoire et une douche), et 1 salle d eau (avec 2 vasques et 1 douche). Nous allons demandé la correction sur les 2 autres sites rattachés par recopie, à savoir Homeaway et Abritel... Merci pour la remarque !

Magnifique séjour!

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cette maison magnifique. Rien ne manque, la maison est très chaleureuse et nous avons pu découvrir la région facilement. Si le petit village n’a pas de boulangerie, mon mari qui est matinal était ravi de prendre le vélo et pédaler pour aller chercher du pain frais! Les enfants ont adoré la piscine et la compagnie de Mimi le chat. Merci à Claudie et Fabrice de partager leur maison qui a fait le bonheur de toute la famille!

Zeer rustig gelegen vakantiehuis

We hebben met vijf volwassenen en twee kinderen een week doorgebracht in dit huis. Zeer ruime en verzorgde kamers en badkamers. Heel veel ruimte op het gelijkvloers en meer dan voldoende keukenuitrusting. Ook buiten is het heel goed verzorgd met het heel warme weer was het zwembad zeker een pluspunt. We zijn ontvangen door de heel behulpzame eigenaars. Bedankt Fabrice en Claudie. Er zijn twee rustige katten op het domein.

Lovely property with lots of room.

We had a lovely holiday, really enjoyed sitting under the umbrella on the patio for breakfast, lunch and tea. The house is much more spacious than it looks in the photos and was very comfortable. Everything we needed and more was in the house. Highly recommend it.

Nous avons passé une excellent séjour dans cette jolie maison ancienne et très bien rénovée. En pleine campagne, idéale pour une bonne décompression, au calme dans la verdure avec sa petite piscine rien que pour nous et très fraîche pendant les grosses chaleurs.
