A short walk from Sassi, you will find our lovely apartment, just renovated and "packaged" tailored to provide our guests all the comforts and services necessary for a memorable stay in the city of stone.
The holiday house "A few steps from the Sassi" is a nice apartment located in the heart of Matera, ideal for families and couples looking for an unforgettable holiday in the European Capital of Culture 2019.
Its strategic location allows you to walk to the most important places of città.L'appartamento, located in a refurbished recently (April 2016), is equipped with every modern comfort, security door, double glazed windows with bottom hung, furnishing of Runtal radiators, air conditioning, electric blinds, mosquito nets, led TV, free wi-fi, safe.
Our house consists of a living area with a cozy fireplace, a sofa double bed, a fully equipped kitchen that overlooks a nice and sunny balcony, a double bedroom with wardrobe, a bathroom equipped with a hairdryer, linen and bath / shower with double taps.
All implants were made in a workmanlike manner, both as regards the characteristics of components and materials, both for what concerns the installation.
When we started the renovation of the apartment, we decided to focus our attention and our efforts on the modern-style furnishings and elegant Chateau D'Ax and atmosphere of the whole structure. Our goal is to make your stay unforgettable. For this we wish you can enjoy the splendor of the Stone City, and to feel at home. So we designed the rooms so that you get cozy and comfortable environment, where guests can relax.

The apartment is roomy and nicely equipped with modern conveniences. Less than a 15 minute, mostly flat, walk to the sassi (old town.) The host was great, quickly responding to my questions. Would stay here again.

Lovely Matera

Matera is truly an astonishing place. The apartment worked really well for us as the walk to the Sassi was interesting, not too far yet in a much quieter part of the city. Antonieta was very responsive to our various questions and it’s very easy to arrive in and leave Matera from this location. We parked our Caron the street for free and left it there during our stay.

This is a jewel of a place. Coffee, brioche, even milk is here for the guest. And what a pretty apt. Balconies facing two directions, ample parking, easily walkable to old town, a beautiful bathroom, nice furniture. Every detail has been well considered and made available. This host is smart, detail oriented, and thoughtful to the extreme. I wish I had booked longer than 1 night. It was.not enough time to enjoy this lovely town...

Great apartment and flexible hostess

The walk to the Sassi was about 20-25 minutes. The apartment was excellent and the hostess was welcoming and allowed us to leave our bags before official check in time.

Schön gelegene Ferienwohnung außerhalb des Zentrums, aber gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Sehr sauber und gepflegt mit Balkonen in Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer. Nette kleine Geschäfte in der Nähe aber auch ein gut sortierte Supermarkt.

What an incredible place, beautiful, so comfortable, clean and convenient.

If this were a hotel it would be five star. But it’s better because it is an apartment with all the amenities thoughtfully and thoroughly provided. Antoinetta is a great host, obviously cares very much for the experience of her guests. She also kindly met me at the bus area. I love the location of this apartment. It’s an easy walk to the Sassi. I’m actually glad I did not stay in the Sassi, I very much enjoyed walking the neighborhood around the apartment. This is the best apartment I have ever stayed at.

Appartamento pulito,luminoso,confortevole e accessoriato.Ha superato le nostre aspettative....viaggiando con una bimba piccola in questo appartamento abbiamo trovato tutto il necessario per trascorrere un week end rilassante! E che dire della proprietaria, una signora squisita, disponibilissima e sempre presente. Ci ha accolto con un regalo, una calamita raffigurante Matera, e ci ha lasciato in casa una colazione con i fiocchi, abbondante e varia...queste sono accortezze che non si trovano in tutte le case vacanza!!! Peccato aver trascorso solo una notte. Lo consiglieremo di sicuro a tutti i nostri amici! Veramente 10+
