With no city lights on the island to dim their glow, the stars here feel incredibly close — on many nights, they seem almost within reach. Gather around the waterside fire pit and enjoy unforgettable evenings under the Northern sky.
Inside, this charming home features a bright and airy open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area with large windows and sliders that showcase the beautiful waterfront views. The open layout creates a comfortable space for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying time together.
The home offers two spacious bedrooms and 1½ bathrooms:
• Main Level Master Bedroom: Queen bed with plenty of storage space
• Upstairs Bedroom: Two Queen beds and a private ½ bath
Large windows throughout the home fill the space with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious deck provides the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, watch wildlife, or unwind at the end of the day.
Located on a large waterfront lot on Bass Cove, this retreat offers privacy, peacefulness, and the beauty of island living. Perfect for families or friends, this home comfortably sleeps 6 guests.

The house was beautiful!! Being right on the water was great as well. I was fine with not having air, but my husband wished we would of had air conditioning. Any concerns we had were addressed and taken care of, if needed, right away.

The property was pristine! Clean and well appointed. Great location close to trails and sandy beach. Only improvement I would suggest is a water filtration system for rust. Great place go to.

Deck with patio furniture was ideal to soak up the sun, fresh air, and awesome lake views. Cozy vibe in cabin. Large kitchen was nice. Everything was very clean.

Relaxing stay

Wonderful view of lake , private and quiet. Saw a young bear going down to water Would definitely recommend this home to friends.

Beautiful waterfront property

The star gazer cabin was a beautiful waterfront property! We came to Drummond to Jeep and this cabin was close to trailheads. Home was cozy with everything we needed.

Wonderful time at Star Gazer

We had a very relaxing time. The view of the water was amazing. We loved hearing the waves lapping the shoreline. The house was as advertised and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something remote and quiet.

Family vacation

This is a great place! Right on the water, beautiful peaceful view! Very close to a trailhead and 4 miles from the beach. No complaints!! Lots of family time around the fire morning and night.

Quiet and relaxing

Property is about 20 minutes away from amenities and the pictures are outdated, but no issues other than that. Not far from a trail staging area and lake levels are high, so water was close to the fire pit. Will stay again.

Thanks for the review. The owner had recently installed new counter tops, so you are correct in saying the pictures are outdated. Water levels have risen for the past few years, so again you are correct saying the fire pit is close to the water.

Stargazer cottage

Very beautiful views on a quiet peaceful dead end road! It’s about 25 minutes from the town area. The house was everything we hoped for! We enjoyed our family vacation at this location! Things we enjoyed was bike rides and bon fires at the cottage, we did the indoor putt putt with the kids at The Rock, off-roading to fossil ledges, the public beach close by, boating and fishing, seeing a bear and enjoying the small shops and restaurants!

Clean and great view

Clean property. Nice views of the lake. Accurate description. Secluded quiet location. Only complaint and complaint is a too strong of a word is the water has a lot of iron in it, a lot. But that would not stop us from staying here the next time we are on the island.

Great UTV getaway!

We came to experience the island on our UTV. Great timing between Jeepers weekend and Memorial day. Island was relatively quiet (great for us) and so was the lakeshore. Great spot to connect with the end of the UTV trail or sit on the deck and take in Lake Huron. House was everything we hoped for, clean quiet and quaint. South side of island is a little breezy compared to the rest. Thank you for great accommodations.
