About this property
In the heart of the Highlands located on a Private Sporting Estate
Fruachan Cottage is located on a private highland estate extending to 27,200 acres set within breath taking scenery along the banks of Loch Shin. The estate is located within the county of Sutherland in the north of Scotland and lies north west of the small, picturesque, rural village of Lairg. Holidaying at Sallachy Estate provides the ideal location to enjoy the beauty and the tranquility of the Scottish Highlands, an ideal holiday destination for all. Fruachan Cottage is Gaelic for heathery knoll and is a 3 bedroom new-build traditional stone property, which retains the character of the estate and has stunning views over Loch Shin. The cottage is warm and cosy and has a secluded peaceful location with no through traffic. It's a truly beautiful spot where deer can be seen regularly grazing around the cottage.
The property is over two floors and sleeps 6 comfortably and has a large sitting room with a double aspect view towards the loch and to the front of the house. There is a log burning stove. There is a modern kitchen/dining room with a large utility and drying room, also, there is a downstairs toilet and cloak room with lockable gun cabinet. The stairway with picture window leads to a bathroom with separate shower, three bedrooms, one with an en-suite. The accommodation is heated by an environmentally-friendly wood burning boiler providing under floor heating throughout.
