It is a new and modern apartment, located on the 2nd floor of a building located in the historic center of Taormina, which has two double bedrooms, bathroom with shower, kitchen / living room and balcony. The accommodation is equipped with air conditioning, heating, 50 "LED Smart TV with satellite reception, free wireless wifi and hairdryer.
The price of the apartment rent exclusively includes the stay of two people in a double bedroom. If the two guests also wish to use the second bedroom it is necessary to pay a surcharge of 25 euros for the entire period.
A few steps away there are bars, restaurants, pizzerias, the urban bus stop, the taxi station and the cable car that connects the city to the sea.
The linen change service is free and guaranteed weekly.
The apartment does not have private parking. The nearest car park, called Parcheggio Porta Pasquale, is located about 150 meters from the apartment. Parking is public and subject to charges. The ticket costs 14 euros for 24 hours or 22 euros for 48 hours.

Located just steps from the Main Street, the location of this apartment was perfect for us as we could enjoy the town of Taormina. Vincenzo was a friendly host, who met us at the apartment upon arrival to drop off the keys and show us around. Definitely recommend a stay here if you’re coming to town!

Great apartment, perfect location

From booking, to checking in and staying, the whole experience was excellent. The apartment is located really conveniently, with easy and quick access to the main shopping street and lots of amazing restaurants, cafes and gelaterias. Our 2nd time staying at this apartment, everything went well.The perfect host, kept up to date with the booking arrangements and meeting us on our arrival. The apartment is perfect, good spacious rooms beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well stocked and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We love the location of the apartment, everything to local supermarkets and a good choice of restaurants. Also near the local bus station, so easy to get around with local buses and a very reliable bus to the airport. There is a roof garden, so perfect to relax and enjoy a drink. Beautiful Setting

This was our first stay in Sicily and we wanted a special place for our stay. We weren't disappointed. The apartment is lovely--as portrayed in the pics--, the host very nice and helpful and the location is perfect. The rooftop sun patio is icing on the cake. Nice apartment close to the main attractions. Super comfortable beds. Fantastic roof terrace with a great view. Private balcony with clotheslines. Grocery store nearby. The host made check-in super easy and communicated throughout our stay. The kitchen is well equipped for quick meals, but not a cooking kitchen. Of course the town has countless restaurants and eateries in walking distance. The walls are thin, so expect to know your neighbors, and have them know about you. The apartment is beautifully decorated with very modern furnishings. Kitchen is well-stocked and bed was very comfortable. You ade steps away from pizza, pastry and a pharmacy. The local bus stops right outside to take you around Tsormina and dining and shops are a few steps uphill. Only. Issue is there is no lift, rooms are on 2nd and 3rd floor but we managed. Rooftop views spectacular.

This is an ideal flat in Taormina - located within easy walking of the places of interest

The flat was modern, good quality and ideally placed. We parked in Lumbi car park and took the free shuttle bus which stops right outside the flats. We had flat 5 which is at the back of the building and therefore quiet, overlooking little gardens and other homes. The equipment and arrival pack was extremely useful and Vincenzo was helpful and kind. We recommend his wife's almonds in sugar!!! Taormina is a lovely place to stay and we didn't use the car at all which was lovely.

The property was lovely. We had a balcony that looked over an enclosed garden space away for the traffic noise. Quiet place to rest. All amenities that were needed. Close to taxi and buses, local market, pastry shop and restaurants. Traveler needs to be ready to climb stairs to get to apartments, not an easy task if lots of luggage. Vincenzo did meet us and help us up the stairs to the apartment. Thanks for your help!

Wonderful Apartment in Taormina

Lovely updated apartment steps from the center of Taormina. Vincenzo and his son were gracious and accommodating. Would definitely book apartment again. Two Tips about visiting Taormina 1. Walking around town takes much exertion as the town is on the side of a mountain. Lots of ups and downs. 2. When arriving at the parking location provided continue past to the apartment and drop off your bags and then park your vehicle. Otherwise you will be dragging your luggage up hill for a good 150 meters.

We'll be back!

We have stayed at many VRBO's in the U.S. and have always enjoyed them. Our stay at I Due Grifoni exceeded our high expectations and, without a doubt, was the best VRBO property we have ever stayed at. Our host, Vincenzo, welcomed us when we booked, responded to all of our questions immediately, arranged transportation from the airport, met us at the property when we checked in (at 10:00pm!), and provided recommendations throughout our stay. He was the most gracious and responsive host we have had in all of our VRBO stays. The property was right in the heart of Taormina, updated, beautiful, clean, comfortable and exactly as the photos depicted. It really did feel like our home-away-from-home! Despite being in the heart of the city, it was very quiet, and felt safe. Everything we wanted to do (including our son's wedding) was within easy walking distance. We could walk to breakfast in the morning and meander back to the apartment, only to wander back out in the afternoon to take in the sights and grab dinner. Our unit was on the top floor and a short climb up the staircase outside our room led to a gorgeous terrace with views over the city and down to the sea! We spent an evening with family, wine, and the wonderful view! Taormina was wonderful...and we plan to come back in 2 years for our 25th wedding anniversary. And, we will reach out to Vincenzo and stay at I Due Grifoni again!

Am Anfang unserer Reise bestand immer wieder ein sehr guter Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber Vincenzo. Er gab uns wertvolle Tipps, wie wir vom Flughafen Taormina am besten erreichen könnten. Letztendlich sind wir von Catania Flughafen aus mit dem Bus angereist. Er schickte mir auch einen Lageplan von der Bushaltestelle Taormina bis zu unserer Unterkunft. Dort zeigte er uns unsere wunderschöne Unterkunft und erklärte uns dort einiges. Dann übergab er uns den Haus - und Appartementschlüssel. Er ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sie ist ruhig und doch nicht weit von Bäcker, Alimentari (Lebensmittelgeschäft), Pizzeria, Bank, Bushaltestelle etc. Entfernt. Einfach klasse! Meine Freundin und ich haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und einen traumhaften Urlaub dort verbracht. Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal wiederkommen! Grazie Vinzenco

Beautiful and classy apartment in the center of the action.

The Two Griffins #5 apartment was perfect for us. I was traveling with my adult son and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment was wonderfully located a stone's throw from Taormina's city gate, a portal to its historical treasures, shops, cafes, hotels, and restaurants. The apartment is stylishly designed with modern furniture and lighting and gorgeous marble floors. The owner, Vincenzo, was very helpful and took care to see that the apartment was equipped with basic food needs. There were several restaurants, a grocer, and a baker within a few hundred feet who satisfied additional food cravings. Only one thing would have made the experience better - we would have wished for additional towels in the bathroom - one towel per person for three days was a bit slim - but that is a small complaint for staying in such a lovely venue in a stunning hill town overlooking the Ionian Sea.

Lovely Apartment in great location

The apartment is perfect for a visit to Taormina it is as pictured on the website and Vincenzo the owner is very helpful. The cable car to Isla bella and bus station are within a 5 minute walk if you wish to venture further afield. The walk to the Main Street of Taormina is less than 60 seconds. This apartment is at the rear of the building and hence quiet in the night , this is important as Taormina is very very busy , the downside of this is that the balcony looks out onto a courtyard not the town or sea. Overall this is the best property I have ever stayed in from owners direct and I would strongly recommend staying here if visiting Taormina. Thanks Vincenzo.
