About this property
Grande Butte Lodge - Hosted by The Chalets
The Grande Butte Lodge has a loyal following of families – not only for its size, but also for the setting and the scale of its gathering areas. It feels like home. LIVING SPACES Enter the vaulted-ceiling, main-floor gathering area – with the kitchen updated in 2017, to include a commercial freezer and refrigerator (in addition to a standard size unit with ice and water), and a granite-topped serpentine island that seats 10. (Yes, 10.) Leather sofas surround the gas fireplace and satellite tv. Log-style furniture, plaid pillows and antler accents, support the lodge theme. The harvest table and additional seating face a wall of windows, with a door to the porch that overlooks the pool and the countryside. The lower level gathering area centers on the stone, wood-burning fireplace and another satellite tv. Billiard table and four-top, game tables complete the space. The lower level opens up to the pool level. Outdoors – The porch has Edison string lights and comortable seating to enjoy the views. The pool deck has picnic tables, lounge chairs, and a covered 10-person hot tub. Beyond, is a fire pit with built-in seating. (Consider having wood delivered by the Chalets’ front desk.) Gas and charcoal grills are located off the kitchen. We loved the beautiful setting and how private it was. The house offered plenty of space for the 9 adults and 4 kids staying there this week. Having seating at the island and the dining room table to accommodate all of us was great!
The pool was fantastic!
We plan to rent again!
We had our chruch group of about 15 older single for a retreat. Everything was great! We had time to relax, commune with nature, hike, enjoy the hot tub, explore caves and have a campfire. The staff was helpful, attentive and very responsive. I highly recommend this place, it was truely beautiful retreat.
Our group of four retired couples had a lovely time at Grand Butte Lodge. The lodge’s beautiful amenities and quiet setting were just what we were looking for! We were impressed by the cleanliness of all the spaces. (Thank you to staff members Rory, Matt, and Allen who were very welcoming and helpful!). The beds were very comfortable. Easy drive from Grand Butte to state parks and Logan.
Perfect rental for a family vacation. Enough seating for everyone. Bedrooms were very spacious. Hot tub fit our group (5 adults, 6 children). Hiking trails were just a short drive away. We have already discussed coming back :)
Super clean upon arrival! The industrial fridge was clutch! The house had everything you needed! Great layout & tons of space!
Great communication & wonderful response time. No issues at all!
Our remote team of six gathered for three days to work and engage - everyone had a wonderful time, learned more about each other and even did a ton of work! Would totally recommend this facility. Lots of little places for people to work independently or as a group, many activities to strengthen your team, we did hikes and kayaking. Although it is 30 minutes away - would highly recommend the Rhapsody in Nelsonville on Wednesday night - the Hocking College Culinary school runs it and they have Jazz on Wednesdays - it was wonderful.
Easy to book. Not easy to find. No cell service if you have ATT so be aware that you lose it going near the cabin but those with TMobile did fine. Super clean, older but all in working order. Loads of room for gatherings. Great hot tub. Gorgeous area. We'd stay again.
Excellent house for our 20 people ranging from 2 to 62.
Pool was a little cold but was OK once we got used to it. Great hot tub for 10.
Wonderful great room for everyone to be in the same room T the same time. Two refrigerators were perfect for a group our size. Would stay again.
House was bug enough for 9 adults and 6 kids. We had a wonderful time. Loved hoe open the kitchen was to the family room. Very cozy with 2 fireplaces. Could definitely have used another full bath especially downstairs. I would definitely recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay at grand butte lodge with 6 total couples. It was nice each couple had their own room. The cabin was clean and spacious. Only negative is the heat stopped working our last day there. We had to use space heaters and keep a fire going to stay warm as the issue was with the propane tank and freezing of the lines into the house.
