Enjoy a retreat for two in Sunrise Beach with all the amenities you can imagine! The Powell Guesthouse Cottage is located in a private subdivision in South Buck Creek Cove at the 8MM in Sunrise Beach, MO. Flat concrete road all the way from Hwy 5 to the new concrete driveway. Just a few short steps to access the Guest cottage that sits at the top of the hill overlooking the lake. Very close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, gas station, bait shop, and more. Enjoy the new King size bed, with tempurpedic mattress and cotton sheets. Luxurious glass tile and natural stone oversized shower and double sink, heated ceramic floor in the bath, and large full size kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Kitchen has an icemaker in the freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. Front load washer and dryer are also in the unit. Open concept floor plan with large sectional sleeper sofa, coffee table, and bar height counter eating. Watch the 55' flat screen TV from the King size bed or the living room with cable TV, BluRay player, plus stereo, bluetooth speaker and there is an outdoor Roku Tv for viewing from the hot tub. Great views of the lake from large windows and 6 foot patio slider! This couples retreat includes exclusive use of the covered 4 person hot tub, your own fire pit, and outdoor eating area. Weber kettle charcoal grill as well as a propane gas grill is available for the outdoor chef along with a well stocked kitchen. Kuerig coffee maker to start your morning. Also enjoy the "Monkey Bar" which is a spectacular view on the upper deck under the tree lights. Sitting space as well as eating space up there. The Guesthouse use to be the personal living space of the owners for 5 years, and they are now opening this space up for you to enjoy as well. Great views, privacy, and lots of outdoor spaces as well as having full access to the dock and the waterfront as well.

You may swim or fish in the deep water cove just a few short steps further down the stairs to the new concrete dock and recently landscaped lakeside. Feel free to use the kayaks or stand up paddle boards at the dock or watch the boats go by during the day. You will share the dock with the owners or other guests who stay in Powell Lakehouse, the house closest to the lake, and still have the privacy of your own space at the Guesthouse.

Come enjoy scenic views, privacy, and enjoy the Lake of the Ozarks in all four seasons! Cleaning fee is part of the nightly rate so no additional charge for cleaning. No pets please. Space is designed for the comfort of two!

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Start a load of towels before you leave and toss in the dryer. We can fold.

Wipe off the counters and replace clean dishes.

Take trash up to either bin on the driveway.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Guest is required to sign a Renter Agreement. Security Deposit Required of up to $300. Minimum age to rent is 24.

Renter Agreement must be signed within 24 hours after booking. For last-minute reservations, agrmnt must be signed before check-in info will be sent.

NO Smoking. NO parties/events. Quiet Hours are from 10PM - 8AM.

Relaxing getaway

Kim thought of everything for this rental. We had a lovely time. I am a large bodied woman and like to leave information on these reviews for large-bodied people to understand if this rental would be accessible for their bodies. I’m 5’6” and 300lbs and have been up to 410lbs in the past. This rental was very good for larger bodies with some consideration for your ability to handle stairs. The rental is down the side of and behind a garage so some steps down from the driveway are necessary. They are safe with a handrail. The steps to the lake are also safe and doable if you have solid balance and good knees. It might be a slow hike back up the steps to the rental. All furniture is sturdy, including an incredibly solid and comfortable bed. There is plenty of room in the shower to clean your larger body. You also will find enough space between the toilet and the wall and shower to be able to sit comfortably and clean yourself. These are accessibility concerns larger bodied people may have and need not be concerned with at this rental. Your body will be supported in the Adirondack chairs outside as well as the lounge chairs on the floating dock as well. Enjoy your stay! We did.

My husband and I stayed in the guesthouse for part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. Cozy, welcoming, and it had everything we could possibly need. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub, sharing laughs, and just enjoying time together. During our stay, we also explored some great local restaurants and took a beautiful boat cruise. The guesthouse was spotless and felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back!
