Great location! Lots of room!
This house gave our family of four a lot of room to spread out. It was comfortable and spacious. The highlight for us was it's location, a short walk to all the restaurants you want in the heart of the town. We were close to all the battlefields and memorials we wanted to visit, including Vimy Ridge, the Menin Gate (8:oopm final post every night), the Flanders field museum, John McCrea memorial, Tyn Cot and so on. We also visited nearby Ghent and Bruge from our location, a short 30-45 minutes drive each.
We didn't give it a perfect 5 star for cleanliness, only because we found cobwebs in the bedrooms and had to use the vacuum to clean them out, we were also short on toilet paper, the end of the roll left in the main bathroom downstairs and half a roll in the other bathroom, so we had to go out and buy some, finally there were a few ants in the kitchen on our first day. However, the beds were extremely comfortable, the house is very nice and with a little extra care in the vacuuming
and supply it would have been a five for sure!
The communication and and check-in process was super!
Thanks for making your home available to us, we enjoyed our stay and would book again!
Note: Parking is great, just around the corner.
thank you very much for your nice review, we'll take extra care for the cleaning!
I'm happy you enjoyed your stay, the house location, and space you had.
Hope to welcoming you again, with kindest regards,
Perfect for the battlefields and more...
Lovely town house on three storeys (warning - steep, narrow stairs). Three good-sized bedrooms with large, comfortable beds. Cosy outside area and functional kitchen. Fab location 5 minutes from town square. Perfect for three blokes cycling round the battlefields. NB - refer to house notebook re eating places. There aren't that many good ones....
thanks for your time writing a review. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay in Holiday Home ieperlee 23 and the perfect location in the town centre.
I noticed my favourite restaurants in the pocket notebook, which can be of some help to choose authentic from too touristic places indeed. Thanks for sharing this.
Hope to welcome you and your family again in the near futrure, you're always welcome!
Highly Recommended - Perfect Stay
Great town home! Great location! Owner is fantastic. My family had a wonderful stay in Ypres this past week at Joke's town home. Great kitchen, living space and wonderful bedrooms with super comfortable beds. Everything you want to see in Ypres is within easy walking distance and the location made it very easy to get in and out of town to drive to sites in Belgium and France.
Hi Oliver, pleasure was mine, I'm happy you enjoyed your stay, the holiday home, the city of Ypres and the surroundings. If you decide to come over again from Canada, you're the most welcome! With kindest regards, Joke
Gezellig vakantiehuis met centrale ligging
Gemakkelijke check-in met code, goede communicatie voordien met Joke.
Keuken zeer goed uitgerust, we hadden niets tekort. Gelukkig konden we genieten van de zomer en buiten eten op het terras met het warme weer.
Mooi opgemaakte en comfortabele boxspringbedden.
