Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly impacted our experience. Smoking is not allowed on the lanai, yet the guests above us smoked on their lanai for the first two nights. The smoke consistently wafted directly into our condo through the sliding doors and windows. We called security numerous times, and no action was taken until more than 24 hours later.Even after the issue was considered “resolved,” cigarette smoke continued to come into our unit through the bathroom ventilation system. This made it impossible to fully avoid the smoke during our stay.We contacted the VRBO owner multiple times through the platform regarding this issue and never received a response. We also contacted VRBO support, who informed us that the owner refused to refund or relocate us despite the ongoing smoking problem.The kitchen was also very minimally stocked, with only salt and pepper and limited cookware, making it difficult to prepare meals. Additionally, the condo felt dated compared to expectations.Overall, while the location has potential, the smoking issues, lack of owner communication, and condition of the unit made this stay far less enjoyable than anticipated.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly understand how frustrating the smoke concern must have been for you and your ʻohana, and we’d like to clarify the steps taken during your stay.
As mentioned when we spoke by phone and through our emergency line, the smoking was not coming from a condo we manage. Once you notified us, we immediately contacted patrol/security, who reached out directly to the neighboring unit you identified. At the time of follow-up, no guests were home. Because the unit is outside of our management, enforcement is handled by building security and local authorities rather than our team.
At registration, the documents signed outline Hawaiʻi’s strict non-smoking laws and property rules. Since this was beyond our control, we also recommended contacting the Kauaʻi Police Department for additional enforcement support, which is standard procedure in these situations outside of business hours.
While we did not have alternative units available for relocation during your stay, we remained in communication with you by phone and through the emergency line to assist and ensure patrol follow-up. We always strive to provide the best service possible and regret that this situation, which was outside of our control, impacted your experience.
We also appreciate your notes regarding the kitchen items and unit condition and will review these with our team as we continuously work to improve our guest experience.

The condo itself is clean, the garden view quite nice (especially with the huge blooming tree). Ammenities were a bit lacking; no plastic wrap or aluminum foil, no spices other than salt/pepper, and missing an umbrella. Adverstised A/C in bedroom, but unless it was hidden, there was none. Not a deal breaker, but the noisy road made it hard to keep the windows opened at night.
TV and wireless internet were good, bathroom had two sinks which was nice.
Overall a good experience that could've been made better with a few small improvements.

Parking nightmare
Property was great; however, parking was not good!! You have your own assigned parking spot that has your room number but every night we came in it was occupied. We had to park in a visitor slot!! We called security because it was after hours but nothing ever happened so basically, you DO NOT have a reserved parking spot! No one seemed to be able to do anything about it!!

Very nice unit, large for a 1 br, private with a nice patio at the rear of the unit. Well equipped in general. Proximity to the road was the only negative and really not a big issue. Decent value for the money, good location.

Lovely unit
I liked the unit very much the only downside is it's right next to the road. You hear traffic all day and in early evening. I suspect that's why it was a bit cheaper then some others offered.
