About this property

Renovated Farmhouse 4 Blocks From Downtown Square

Ideally located just a few blocks from the picturesque Paso Robles square, this restful yet revived farmhouse on a quiet corner is your best bet for even the most idyllic vacation plans:

Feed your soul a delicious feast at Fish Gaucho, The Hatch, or Odyssey World Cafe, all a short 3 block walk from the house. After savoring their fab flavors, soak up some wine at over a dozen tasting rooms around the square and enjoy a quick safe walk home through a quiet residential neighborhood.

Prepare a romantic dinner at home using a fully stocked kitchen showcasing stainless steel gas range, convection oven, microwave, and dishwasher, all in a spacious open-concept kitchen. A coffee maker, mixer, spice rack, and fondue set are available to feed your inner food network star. A decorative mantelpiece with the romance of a fireplace soothes your spirit, while the refrigerator keeps the sparkling chilling.

A working vacation may not be your dream but they are a part of life so high-speed internet is included promising the fastest service in Paso Robles! Central heat and air conditioning keep you in control of the climate that keeps you at your coolest.

Sink into a warm sudsy tub in the spacious bathroom and soak for a spell. The tub is completely separate from the shower but both give a steady stream of hot water thanks to a tankless water heater and the lodge provides plush towels, a hair dryer as well as bedding, shampoo, conditioner, and soap for your stay.

When you’re ready for some entertainment, watch the high definition TV, play board games, or take a short walk to catch the latest band playing at the Paso Robles Event Center and Fairgrounds.

Visit for a wedding or local event and be confident you can look your best with the iron and ironing board available.

Whatever and whenever you stay, this home welcomes you and puts you right in the middle of Paso’s most popular activities. Feel the Paso vibe that makes you want to return. Sometimes this old farm house feels like a long lost friend...

Such a wonderful stay!
We stayed at this wonderful house for a weekend in June 2016. The house was immacutely clean, very comfortable and stocked with everything one needs! The living/sitting area was a little small, but the kitchen was huge and a great place for a group to spend time. The bedrooms were nicely appointed, they were reasonably sized and the bathroom was super modern and really large. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

About the host

I'm a California native daughter who lived in all of the Golden State's wine villages while writing Drink Your Words - Discovering California's Other Wine Regions. I've chosen this central location for its lively downtown square, beautiful back roads, and stunning vineyards.

Why they chose this property

After any road trip, the last thing you want to do is get back in the car. My rental is a quick 3 block walk to dozens of tasting rooms, delicious restaurants, and fun live music events.

What makes this property unique

The Porch Light Lodge has a wide welcoming from porch that's still private. It also has an open concept kitchen with butcher block counters that respect the farm house's history. The spacious bathroom has a separate soaker tub from the shower stall.
