About this property
Arianne Estate: 200m from the beach
Brand new summer estate with Main House (Arianne Villa) and Cottage. Rented together in August but the Villa can be rented as a stand-alone property during the rest of the year (rates advertised correspond to renting both). Beautiful verandas, amazing views, lovely garden and orchard, Less than 200m from two amazing unspoiled beaches (Palaiopoli and Limni). The Mediterranean at its most sublime.
The Villa-Main House (120sqm - 1300 comfortably accommodates 7. The ground floor has two bedrooms (one double which sleeps two and one children's room which sleeps three), a bathroom and a living room with an open-space fully-equipped kitchen, with big verandas all around. The first floor has a master bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a private terrace.
The Cottage (40sqm - 430 can accommodate up to 4 guests, with one double bedroom, a bathroom and a living area with an open-space well-equipped kitchen. There are two large built-in sofas that can be used as single beds.
The rest of the property includes a vegetable garden where guests can freely pick seasonal organic fruit and vegetable, an orchard, a rock garden with a small amphitheatre (where our children regularly perform...), a BBQ, a shaded courtyard we call the Patio, a paved area for cycling and games, a hammock corner and three parking spaces.
Both the Villa and the Cottage have large verandas with pergolas all around so that there is always a place in the shade where you can find refuge from the sun.
The Main House guests have the exclusive use the of front and rear verandas, the BBQ area, the Patio and the small amphitheater as well as two parking places.
The Cottage guests have the exclusive use of a garden terrace , the front and rear verandas of the Cottage and one parking space.
The rest of the property is shared and can be used by all guests under the condition of mutual respect, unless otherwise stated.
Each one of the buildings has an additional outdoor shower with warm and cold water.
Bioclimatic principles have been used in order to maintain low internal temperatures during summer, a biological sceptic tank purifies and recycles water for watering purposes while the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly materials have been used. The house was built using many traditional decorative elements and techniques. We have tried to integrate the buildings in the surrounding environment and have only planted local species in the garden..

We are a family of three Greeks who fell in love with the island of Kithira the moment we put our feet on it, in 2008. We decided to buy a parcel of land and build our summer house here. We managed to find exactly what we wanted and built the house of our dreams that we now share with our guests. Kithira, as an island, is special even for Greece, a country that is home to more than 1200 islands. It is a unique place that has developed much later than other summer destinations and has, thus, kept almost all of its authenticity and original characteristics: the hospitality of its people, the small scale of its villages and hotels, the fact that it is a place full of life before and after the summer months as well make it so special.
Why they chose this property
It is situated on the top of a small hill at less than 200 meters from two of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches of the island. On a 3500 sqm - 0,86 acre piece of land we have built two buildings facing the sea with superb views and the possibility to listen to the waves during the night. We have planned every single detail, every single line, the smooth curves that help blend the buildings with the surrounding nature.
