Want you to spend your holidays in Sicily at the beach or visit the architectural riches that history has left us? Are you looking for an apartment stylish and comfortable to rent for your holidays? This is the place for you! Lovely recently renovated two rooms in the heart of the historical center of Taormina to 180 meters from Corso Umberto (main street) near Porta Catania, an area full of cultural attractions, shops and restaurants. The apartment is on the mezzanine floor. It 'just been beautifully renovated and all the furniture and appliances were purchased new. The apartment consists of a kitchen-living room, in which there is a double sofa bed and a chair bed, two windows overlook the street "Paternò di Biscari" (very quiet residential area, but very close to Corso Umberto). There are also: a bedroom with a balcony that overlooks a garden condominium, a toilet and a storage room. There are all the comforts: satellite TV, heat pumps hot / cold (low-power inverter), washing machine, footwarmer natural gas, etc ... the apartment can comfortably accommodate up to a maximum of five people!

Nice place close to town

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had everything we needed (kid cot and sufficient towels). There were some ants in the corners but the problem was already under control and taken care of. The apartment is well-located (supermarket close by and only short walking distance to the city center) and the bed was comfortable.

The host was not very forthcoming with instructions. I had to reach out to her myself for details of how to get in and how to leave. The location is pretty tough to get around. You can forget about parking close to the location. Parking was actually extra than dates (parking lot) A suggestions would be to leave laundry directions

The Hills of Taormina

Location was a short 4-5 blocks uphill from central town entrance. I would say a little challenge for older but no issue for youngsters. Would also like to be welcomed with some coffee for the initial morning wake-up and some bottled water.

Awesome apartment

The place was clean and spacious enough for the 2 of us. We were a 5 minute walk to the grocery store where we bought coffee and breakfast items. The apartment has enough dishes, cutlery to have breakfat or lunch in. The apartment is a 7 minute walk to the main strip that runs through Taormina. Our host Lory was available almost instantly to answer our questions. We would absolutely recommend this place if you are considering a visit to Taormina.

Just ok

Nice clean apartment. However, hot water was hit and miss. Three or four times during my stay when I was ready to have a shower there was no hot water available. It was winter and the cold showers did not sit well with me. Gas was shut off for three days so again no shower or stove. Hostess I never saw, and sometimes she didn’t answer my texts promptly but eventually she did get back to me. Location was great near grocery store and Corso Umberto.

Lovely place in lovely Taormina

Nice quiet location, out of historic centre, but not too far. Be prepared to walk the hills! Not a problem if you're fairly fit. The apartment was missing listed items, the toaster, microwave and barbeque. There were a few ants. Once we noticed them, you could see were treatment had been done before in the apartment. There was some insecticide, we used it and never saw any more. We had a problem with the plumbing one day and Lory was quick in getting it fixed for us. Much appreciated. There seemed to be rationed, or at least insufficient toilet tissue and dish soap. There is a futon for an extra bed in the living space, but it is quite unusable for seating. Overall, the place was great. Taormina is beautiful.

Taormina est magnifique, mais…

pas de contact réel avec la propriétaire seulement par Whatsapp que j’ai été obligé d’installer pour avoir accès aux modalités d’accès L’appartement présente très bien, mais certaines choses devraient être corrigées: panneau de cuisine mal fixé, table sur le balcon à remplacer, climatisation très bruyante Mais nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cette ville superbe!

Das Positive vorweg: Taormina ist ein wunderschöner Ort und das Apartment ist wirklich toll gelegen. Wir (Vater/Sohn, beide groß) haben es v.a. deshalb gebucht, weil es vermeintlich mehrere Betten und sogar getrennte Schlafräume bietet. Vorgefunden haben wir dann zwar Schlafcouch/-sessel, allerdings nicht vorbereitet und ohne entsprechende Bezüge in den Schränken. Das abgebildete "Hauptbett" ist relativ klein und ist nur für Paare geeignet. Die Gastgeberin war selbst auf Reisen und konnte nicht weiterhelfen. Daraus folgte das noch größere Problem - wir sollten via WhatsApp (o. Mail) Fotos unserer Pässe/Ausweise schicken, was ich aus guten Gründen ablehnte (Datenschutz, IT-Sicherheit, Missbrauch etc..). Um das klarzustellen - das ital. Innenministerium hat dieser Praxis in 11/24 einen Riegel vorgeschoben und verlangt ausdrücklich, dass Gastgeber die Identitäten ihrer Gäste persönlich überprüfen. Und ich kann nur dazu raten, niemandem (v.a. persönlich unbekannt) Fotos seiner Ausweisdokumente zu senden. Das bittere Ende vom Lied: Die Kommunikation per WhatsApp spitzte sich zu, uns wurde mit der Polizei gedroht, die Urlaubsstimmung war im Keller und wir verließen das Apartment nach nur einer von zwei gebuchten ( bezahlten) Nächten. Auf eine teilweise Kompensation gegen gute/neutrale Bewertung habe ich verzichtet. Fazit: Die Gastgeberin ist bestimmt kein schlechter Mensch, aber nicht vertraut mit den Gesetzen. Klare Check-In Zeiten und ein persönl. Empfang sollten Standard sein.

Fantastic Experience and Amazing Apartment!

It was a beautiful quiet apartment in an amazing location! I really loved though was the hospitality we received from Lory! We booked our stay in Taormina very last minute/ spontaneously and Lory was super fast at responding! She even recommended catching a bus over the train from the airport (which I had originally anticipated on doing), he sent us a timetable and I am so glad I took his advice! When we arrived at the Terminal of Taormina we walked in a few minutes to the apartment with a tour of Main Street while Lory sent us messages and giving us a lot of recommendations very appreciated for the food, shopping and drinks! She made sure we were comfortable in the apartment and showed us around. During our stay we messaged Lory for more recommendations, directions and even help navigating a website that was in Italian, she then sent us the information we needed. She was always super fast at responding and amazingly helpful! Thank you for helping us fall madly in love with Taormina! We will definitely be returning one day in the future and would stay here again 100%!

Bien situé et mignon

Apart bien situé, dans une petite rue tranquille mais à 2 pas des activités centrales. Suffisamment équipé pour cuisiner. Relativement proche (se fait à pied) du stationnement obligatoire pour rester en ville. Malheureusement , il n,y a pas eu d,eau chaude durant 2 jours.
