About this property
Renovated Downtown Cabin
Be our guests at this newly restored gem in downtown Pagosa Springs.
Old meets new at Casa hermosa. Remodeled in 2015, this house has all the modern amenities while also maintaining it's rustic charm.
The new addition of the expansive south facing front porch provides a great place to bask in the sun and take in the views of Reservoir Hill, while listening to the San Juan River just across the street.
The kitchen has been completely redone with an open concept to the dining room and living room. All brand new appliances including a large french door fridge, dishwasher and a gas range. A washer/dryer is also centrally located.
The main bathroom is brand new with a double vanity, huge walk in rain shower and vaulted ceilings. A new half bath also sits off the second bedroom.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bath 1/2 bath. The second bedroom has vaulted ceilings and a queen bed.
The cozy living area has a deep comfy couch with great views of Reservoir Hill, as well as 50' screen TV and a Bose speaker system. Fiberoptic Wifi is brought to you by the fastest connection in town.
The property is almost a 1/4 of an acre and completely fenced in so bring your dogs. The old barn out back looks straight out of an old western and great for photos.
Hermosa St. is the best kept secret in Pagosa Springs. It sits quietly between Main St and the San Juan river offering all the peace and quiet of a mountain hide away with walking access to all the amenities of historic downtown.
Walk 50 yards to the 'beach' at Cotton Hole on the river for tubing or fishing, then spend the afternoon meandering down the river walk path to the hot springs and circle back on Main St. for a beer at Riff Raff brewery or a fancy dinner at the Alley House.

The cabin was perfect for our family of 4. We loved that we were able to walk to many popular restaurants. Also was a quick 20-30 min drive to wolf creek. Home was clean, well stocked and beds were comfy. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Just a heads up the driveway is narrow but street parking is available.
Excellent in town location on a dead end across the street from the San Juan river. short walk to everything. Much better than the home out in the woods we stayed at last visit
This quaint little cabin was cozy and comfortable. It is a perfect location to walk to several great restaurants and the hot springs. We can't wait to go back and visit Pagosa Springs.
Nice kitchen, living room, comfortable beds / bedrooms, overall a great stay. Nice yard for dogs.
Location is perfect. Front porch is a nice place to relax.
Amazing Location, we walked everywhere. You can walk to all the restaurants, the river, great hikes. The home is fully equiped with everything you need if you want to cook a meal. The beds are super comfortable. Can't say enough good things about this cabin.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Hermosa! The cabin was fully equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable. It’s It’s close location to town was perfect! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is taking their small family on a trip to Pagosa Springs.
We had a great stay at the cabin! Cozy and a perfect spot for a weekend girls' trip. Loved that it was walking distance to shops, restaurants, hot springs, and the river walk. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed for cooking basic meals. A few things to note: while the yard is fenced, the front yard fence is very low and a medium sized dog could easily hop over it. The driveway could be a little tricky to get in and out of with a wide or low clearance vehicle, since it is a steep angle from the street and the gate opening is narrow. The street signs say no parking, so you may want to ask about alternate parking options if you have concerns about your vehicle.
Truly enjoyed our stay in the Downtown Cabin. As described wonderful location with great views. Listening to the river sitting on the porch reading a great book and walking to town everyday was fantastic. The cabin was small but as described. Could use a little TLC soon with exterior but did not effect our stay.
The location was amazing and the house was cute and clean. The details are what made this house so great: comfortable bed, luxurious shower head, cozy porch on a quiet street. And major kudos to the owners for getting a turf grass lawn to look so healthy at altitude!
Everything you need, great kitchen to cook meals, comfortable and in a perfect location to walk the river. Sit on the porch and wave to the folks on their evening walks. Very friendly town! Your hosts are very nice and helpful. Highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing stay.
The little cabin/house is a great location to enjoy the local offerings of Pagosa Springs. A close walk to city park and cotton trail.
Only wish parking was a little more accommodating. It’s a little small for a full size SUV.
My family and I really enjoyed staying here. The house is super comfortable with all the modern amenities but also refurbished to protect the historic character. The location is ideal -- just a few blocks from downtown but well enough off the main drag to avoid noise and have a sense of peace and quiet. Wild turkeys wandered through the yard! Excellent sledding on Reservoir Hill is just down the road. I will definitely want to stay here again.
Cute little house only 1 block from restaurants, shops, and the river. We had minor issues with a couple of things, which the owners jumped on quickly and had fixed.
This was probably the most charming place I've ever rented in decades of renting vacation homes. There was so much rustic charm (brick floor in kitchen--amazing!) but all the modern amenities: dishwasher, washer/dryer, cable TV, etc. The river is across the street. There's a riverwalk where you can walk in less than 10 minutes to the center of town. The amazing Pagosa Baking Company is 3 blocks away.
The host was great, and the cabin was perfect! Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shops as well as the hot springs, which we soaked in each afternoon. The cabin had a comfortable bed, great shower and bathroom, cozy living room, and awesome view from the front porch. We would highly recommend!

Great place to stay in Pagosa Springs!
We had a great time in Pagosa and this was the perfect place to stay! The location is perfect to head up the mountain or to walk to the restaurants and shops. The yard is large and was nice for the kids to run and play in the snow. The hot springs and a park are also very close, walking distance or short drive. We will definitely stay again!

About the host
Hosted by Pete and Nikki Macomber
Pete and I met in Pagosa in 2006. I grew up here and Pete's family would visit from Santa Fe. We live in Venice, CA, where I work as a private Chef and Pete works in video production. We married in Pagosa in 2010 and in 2014 we bought this little house on our favorite street downtown. We spent 6 months remodeling the 1897 house, optimizing the floor plan and updating the amenities while trying to stay true to it's rustic charm. Now we try to get out every chance we get to enjoy Wolf Creek in the winter and the river in the summertime. I love the new Kitchen and Pete likes sitting on the front porch enjoying the peaceful view. After all our hard work, we enjoy sharing our home with others who also appreciate this great little mountain town.
