Beautifull villa in nature with complete privacy and heated pool

Villa KETI****

The villa is situated among the lush nature in a hamlet Prodani-Veliko Brdo overlooking Makarska, making it perfect for a complete vacation. The villa has a secured parking spot located 150meters from it which is suitable for a single car. The villa itself can only be accessed by an illuminated and paved pedestrian road so to ensure the privacy of its guests. We have provided a trolley for an easier transport of luggage and supplies to the villa.
It is the fact that the villa can't be reached by car that makes it a beautiful place to have a vacation immersed in nature. The villa is built as a place for people who want to have a vacation without a car or traffic, but still have the option of getting to their vehicle within 2 minutes. Everything you need can be reached with a car within 5 to 15 minutes. (city center 3km, the beach 1,5km, supermarket 800m, restaurant 800m)

The villa is completely renovated in 2015. and has everything one might need on a vacation and more. When we went with the restoration we made sure that despite it being isolated it will have everything that makes a modern villa.

The villa is connected to the city's water supply network and has its own water supplies that are collected from rain and filtered afterwards.

Ground floor

In the ground floor there is a living room, a kitchen and a dining room all connected in a single spacious area and one toilet. The kitchen is decorated in a retro style and made of 100% natural oak wood. It is fully equipped with a 2 gas and 2 electric burner stove, a dish washer, a refrigerator and a freezer, a microwave, a coffee machine, a blender, a water kettle, all the dishes, dinnerware and spices. The dining table is suitable for 4 people but can be extended to host 8 people with extra chairs.
In the living room there is a four-seater sofa and an armchair which can host 5 people. The sofa can be folded out into a bed (155 cm wide and 200 cm long). There is a Smart TV overlooking the seating area which can also be seen from the dining room area. In addition to the standard Croatian TV channels there are more than 500 satellite TV channels and an Internet connection for when you want to stream videos and YouTube app.
There is a functioning fireplace in the living room with everything needed to light it up on a fresh summer night. Next to the entrance there is wall mounted safe where you can store all your valuables. The entire villa is air-conditioned to ensure a pleasant stay during the hot summer months. In case you stay with us during the colder months in addition to the fireplace there is a wood-burning stove, floor heating and central heating through the entire villa.
The entire villa is cowered with a secured WiFi signal.

Second floor

There is a staircase leading from the ground floor to the second floor containing 2 bedrooms, each one with its own bathroom and an exit to the balcony. Both rooms have a bed that's 160 cm wide and 200 cm long, suitably sized closets and a flat TV. One room has a new iron cast bed with a wooden retro dresser and a closet. Second room has a new retro bed and closet made of oak wood. All rooms have their own AC units, bedside light switches, USB charging ports, phone and LAN connection. Bathrooms are fully equipped and one of them has a washing machine.
All the windows in the villa are new and made of three sheet glass which offers excellent heat and sound isolation. Both rooms are facing south and have an exit to a common balcony with a seating for 4 people. From the balcony there is a clear view of islands Brac, Hvar and Peljesac.

Ground plot

When in front of the villa on the left side there is a garden with seasonal fruits and vegetables which are grown on the principles of organic gardening. Guests are free to use the garden and pick the fruits from it when available. The yard of the villa is surrounded by a tall fence with two entrances. One of them is a stair entrance and the other is the trolley entrance through which you can bring in any luggage or supplies. Property is total fenced. Just in front of the villa there is a stone terrace overlooking the sea and the islands framed by the flower garden surrounding it. On the east side of the yard there is a stone table with stone benches, a barbecue with a farmers sink made of stone which uses collected rain water suitable for drinking. Just above the table is a pergola entwined with grapevines to create shade for a more comfortable setting. Right next to the outside dining area is a wine-cellar in which we make homemade wine.

Pool

Next to the wine-cellar there is a beautiful heated swimming pool for the guests of the villa. The pool is decked in Saint Peter stone to give an appearance of being there for centuries. Pool water is not chlorinated for health reasons so we opted for a more advance system of electrolysis. Next to the pool there is wooden deck equipped with wooden seating furniture. Right on the deck there is a solar powered shower with natural heated water. Just by the pool there are 4 wooden loungers for sunbathing.

Villa KETI is surrounded by pure and untouched nature. On the north side you can see the mountain Biokovo and on the south one the islands and the sea. This villa is meant for people who want to experience that special feeling of man connecting with nature.

Everyone is in a hurry today. We are almost unable to find any time for ourselves. There is always something more important to do than to have a quality vacation. More and more people are finding hobbies they can do for a few hours a day to get away from their busy lives. The job I do is demanding and eats up most of my day. I spend a lot of time traveling or being away from home in general. It is often that even on my days off i can’t get away from work. In today's business world you just don't get the luxury of having a Sunday off. After a while I realized that to get some time off i had to detach from the everyday life. In the end i found my peace in the holiday house my father built in Veliko Brdo. A holiday house on a lonely spot surrounded by olive gardens gives me a unique type of vacation when I manage to find the time for it.

My father built that house for himself in his free time. When he reached a certain age he realized that it was too much work for him so he decided to give it to me to continue looking after it.

Modern man has lost its connection to nature and there is nothing as precious as finding it again. When you have something as precious as that, but don't have the time to enjoy it then it all goes to waste. You find yourself in the situation where you have free time but have stuff to do on your holiday house. I find working in the garden relaxing but there is usually something else more important to finish first. Then it downed on me. I was to renovate the holiday house, build a pool next to it and share it with my guest. While doing all that I also wanted to preserve the soul of the house.

That was the moment when i decided that i shouldn't keep this piece of heaven for myself but to share it with my guests.

I have renovated the villa, built the kitchen and the rooms out of real oak wood. I have redone the installations, the insulation, the floors, walls and ceilings. Made new bathrooms, built in every possible equipment, floor heating and air conditioning.



That's how Villa KETI Makarska was built. It got its name after my mother who helped my father build it.

Villa KETI Makarska is one of the most rented out houses in Croatia. It welcomes its guest from March to November. We never had guests in winter although we get a lot of inquiries for that time period. The work I do is mainly seasonal so the guests are in the villa when I'm at my busiest. When winter comes my wife, our little girls and I enjoy the villa for ourselves.
