Que du bonheur!

Un grand merci à notre hôte pour son accueil et son sourire inaltérable! Une situation géographique exceptionnelle qui nous a permis malgré un temps capricieux de profiter pleinement de notre semaine de vacances avec au programme visites de sites remarquables, barbecues... sans oublier une piscine aux dimensions inattendues. A beautiful, peaceful retreat set in stunning countryside

We have just spent the most wonderful week at Bernard's gite, ‘Les Mauves’ in the tiny, pretty village of Berbiguieres in the Dordogne. Bernard is a delightful host, friendly and welcoming but discreet and respectful of the privacy of his guests. The gite is well equipped, clean and comfortable and the pool is beautiful and completely private; deep and long enough to do some good swimming and surrounded by trees and flowers. There are numerous walks through woodlands, chateaus and spectacular caves (les grottes) to visit and all within very easy reach of the gite. The small, hillside town of St Cyprien is about 4k away with its narrow streets, restaurants and shops. There is so much to see and do but we found ourselves spending long periods of time enjoying the seclusion and peace of the gite and it’s surroundings. We hope to visit again soon.

un coin de paradis!

Le cadre est juste superbe et la localisation de la location idéale dans le village et par rapport aux lieux touristiques, sans en avoir les inconvénients ;-) La piscine (parfaitement entretenue) est suffisamment grande pour faire des longueurs et la vue est de toute beauté (encore plus belle que sur la photo!), sans aucun vis à vis. La maison est bien équipée et l'on peut prendre ses repas à l'extérieur à l'ombres des arbres. Un grand MERCI à Bernard pour la qualité de son accueil, ses précieux conseils sur la région et les bonnes adresses :)

Très bon souvenir du Périgord noir

Séjour très agréable dans une maison bien équipée et entretenue. On apprécie le cadre verdoyant pour son calme, l'ombre des grands chênes, les fleurs, la piscine spacieuse. Les curiosités et autres activités touristiques ne manquent pas. Des commerces et restaurants à quelques kilomètres. Le propriétaire très chaleureux et serviable nous a réservé un accueil vraiment sympathique. A recommander !
