Town: This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food.

The house is big with a good sized enclosed lawned garden. Internally it could do with some tlc, some windows would not open or were very stiff, it could also be cleaner, we had to pull out the corner sofa unit in the dining area to recover a dropped item, the floor and skirting were dirty plus there were items of dropped food and biscuit wrappers. The CH packed up during our stay, there was no reply to either of the two emergency numbers so I contacted the booking agents. A maintenance person did attend and believed he had sorted it but it failed again within a short time. A second call was made and they agreed to try and get an emergency plumber so that meant we had to stay in. By 8pm advised no plumber available but someone from the management company would visit within the hour, he did and got it working. I did have to reset the system on a couple more occasions. The house is close to the beach and overall we did enjoy our stay.
