Nautilus sits in a modern development close to the spectacular Beadnell Bay, often described as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown. The beach is idyllic for a relaxing stroll in all seasons. It is also a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving and is only a short walk away. The well stocked village shop is a short drive or less than 15 minute walk away. There are two pubs serving good food within walking distance of the property as well as the Salt Water Café. A small sandy bay, speckled with rocky outcrops is also close by and leads to a long sandy beach that stretches two miles to the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips around the nearby Farne Islands (famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony) depart regularly from its harbour.
Seahouses offers several tea rooms, amusements and shops with horse riding, fishing and golf on the links close by being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location. A further three miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies in the shadow of its majestic fortress. Holy Island (the birthplace of Christianity and site of Lindisfarne Castle) can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy). Visitors can also enjoy a trip to Alnwick Gardens – a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Nautilus is an excellent choice for those seeking a coastal retreat to rest and refresh with easy access to one of the most glorious beaches in Northumberland, deservedly designated as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this modern spacious property at first sight having seen it while staying in another property just around the corner. Its generous size, modern and wonderful location making it ideal for a holiday for young and old. Well appointed and equipped kitchen diner, means that those that want to, can cater fully for themselves if they wish.
