We loved our stay here! Amazing home and views! Only complaints are the kitchen could use some sharper knives and the bottom of the hot tub was sandy and a little dirty! Overall we loved our stay here!!
Place was as described!!! Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. It was close to Lead and Deadwood but home was tucked into the mountains and felt very private.
The cabin was perfect for our group of 9. Everything was better than described and we can't wait to use the cabin again next year! Thanks for helping us create memories!
We loved the house and its amazing view. Everything is well stocked for cooking! The owner makes sure there are plenty of towels which is really important. We enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub
This cabin is beautiful! Its in a great location woth excellent views. There was an event going on at Terry Peak ,so there was no trailer parking. The host allowed us to go to the cabin early to park so we could unload and go ride. The cleaning crew was there and they were wonderful! We came up with a group of friends to ride side by sides. There was room for everyone. Very spacious! The views from the deck in the morning were amazing, beautiful sunrises!
The house was lovely and had amazing views!! Very nice quality furnishings and beautiful inside and out!
It was very spacious and fit our group of 11 wonderfully. Everyone had space and was comfortable. The owner was helpful and responded quickly when we contacted her.
The house was in a good location for many great outings such as Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, and even the Badlands. We would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to visit this area.
It was a great experience.
We had a wonderful week at Pine Cone Lodge. The house was easily accessed, very clean, spacious, and outfitted with all necessary items. Views are beautiful and location worked very well for our needs. The seven adults in our group had no complaints. Considering the unusually high temps (104 degrees for several days) the nights were fairly comfortable for sleeping.
We’d love to come back , whether it be for another rally or even a ski trip! Thank you so much!
The view was beautiful and has deer that was near the house, which was cool. The house is set back enough to be private. Very nice house but wasn't very clean and the sheets on the master bedroom were dirty. No WIFI and the Verizon signal was sketchy.
The photos of the cabin were very accurate. We had ample personal space for each couple. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The view was breathtaking from sunrise until sunset. Very quiet and peaceful location. Turn into the driveway was tricky on the motorcycle and pulling the trailer. All 5 couples agreed we would rent this cabin again. The owner was very quick to answer any questions we had prior to our stay. The directions to get to the cabin were easy to follow.

Peaceful Retreat in Black Hills National Forest
Our family of 7 stayed at the cabin in the end of July 2018 on our way to Yellowstone and Glacier. It is a beautiful cabin with beautiful views. There is no AC, but it was cool- in July- and we slept with the windows open. There is no WiFi, but good cell service. It was really wonderful!! We hiked Searfish Canyon (about 25 minutes), visited Mt. Rushmore (1 1/2hrs) and the Badlands (2 hrs). We spent some time in Lead and Deadwood , which are charming and full of fun history. We had a wonderful time!!
Cabin was great. Space was great.
Just a few things: there’s no AC. It was HOT. There’s only one fan. A few more fans would have been very helpful when temps in the house were above 80.
There were no trash bags, just a few drops of dish soap and NO hand soap. I expect those few things to be there and they weren’t. Had to make a stop at the store to purchase.

The house was very dirty and it doesn't come with A/C. I did reach out to Carla but she told me she didn't advertise A/C. This is true but I didn't know that was a standard thing to assume a place doesn't have it. We did get a night free but overall underwhelming.
The house was very nice and well equipped with the necessities
I think we picked the hottest time to go to South Dakota temp was a record 105 The house was nice and cool with the mountain air and fans. Plenty of room in the driveway for 4 trucks & trailers
