Charming independent villa with views to the La Maddalena Archipelago

The property is situated on a hill overlooking the Straight of Bonifacio and the islands of the Levezzi. Some of the best beaches are a short drive away, 10 minutes to the nearest 15 minutes to the famous unspoilt windsurfing beach in the bay of Liscia and Porto Pozzo. The charming town of Santa Teresa di Gallura is five minutes drive away with all the shopping facilities required. There are great open markets in the streets during the evenings in the summer and lots of super restaurants to eat at with very reasonable prices. The busy port town of Palau serving the isles of the Maddelana is 20 minutes drive to the east and very lively throughout the summer months offering many cosy bars and restaurants.
The property is in keeping with traditional Sardinian houses. The garden is rustic, and is sometimes frequented by wild boars, which forage and dig in the garden. While we endeavor to maintain the garden. The property is not fenced as the natural inhabitants are allowed to roam free.

Wonderful stay

The house is very confortable. We were a group of friends and we had a very good time at the house. Perfect location to explore Costa smeralda and north sardinia.

This is comfortable well decorated property. It was immaculately clean and well presented. This villa provided comfortable accomodation with all the facilities that a person from the UK might require (i.e kettle!!!). The English owner lives next door and if there are any problems he is only too happy to help The villa is located on a cul de sac on a private estate at the top of a steep hill overlooking the archipelago. It is very quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed a relaxing holiday here . Some excellent beaches whether at the Capo Testa (either side depending on wind direction) or Santa Reparata at St Theresa or Palau or Rena Magiore on SP 90 or elswhere are in in easy driving reach as are trips to Magdalena and if you want to top up on your Prada or visit your yacht in Porto Cervo it is about 50 minute drive. St Theresa is a pleasant small town with good restaurants less than a 10 minute drive away The owner is a keen windsurfer and the beaches nearby provide ample scope for this sport. We enjoyed a really nice week here and would not hesitate to come back.

Villetta veramente spaziosa, camere e salotto molto ampi e arieggiati. Ottima la soluzione di due piccoli bagni e la presenza di tanti confort (barbecue lettini e sdraio) ed elettrodomestici, tranne la TV cosa che è dispiaciuta ai miei bambini ma poi abbiamo scoperto con sorpresa dei giochi in scatola per passare le serate.L'assenza dell'aria condizionata l'abbiamo sofferta solo due notti in cui comunque abbiamo usato il ventilatore.L'unica nota negativa è stato l'odore di ammuffito dei mobili

Casa indipendente a Capizza di Vacca

Una vista meravigliosa, appena sopra Ruoni. Spiagge facilmente raggiungibili in auto. La casa ha due stanze e due bagni, un salone, un patio e una zona cucina completa di tutto. Jill è stata gentilissima come Paola che si occupa del check in. Unico consiglio sarebbe di curare un po’ di più il giardino, ma per il resto veramente consigliatissima!!

Die Lage, mit einem traumhaften Blick auf das la Maddalena Archipel und das Haus mit dem großen Grundstück waren sehr schön. Man mussndie Ruhe lieben. Für uns war es genau richtig. Man ist auf jeden Fall auf ein Auto angewiesen. ( einkaufen, Strand, Sehenswürdigkeiten) Die Hauskeeperin war sehr freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit. Sie sprach nur italienisch, aber mit google Übersetzter ging es super. Leider gab es den Holzbockkäfer in den Dachbalken, die ununterbrochen Geräusche machten und zum Teil aus den Balken fielen. Das Mobiliar könnte eine Erneuerung gebrauchen, da es sehr muffig in den Schränken und Räumen roch. Trotzdem haben wir die Zeit genossen und würden nochmal hinfahren, wenn der Kammerjäger die Tiere in den Griff bekommen hat.

Prachtige villa op ruime kavel met mooi uitzicht en veel privacy

Deze zomer hebben we twee heerlijke weken gehad in Capizza di Vacca, een buitenwijk van Ruoni. De villa ligt boven op een heuvel, vanwaar je een prachtig uitzicht hebt richting Corsica en de La Maddalena eilanden. De villa staat op een zeer ruime kavel en heeft de hele dag zon. Er zijn heerlijke terrassen rondom de woning, waar je kunt genieten van de vrijheid en rust. Zeker het verhoogde terras, waar je ’s morgens kunt genieten van de eerste zonnestralen met een verse bak koffie of ’s avond met een goed glas wijn naar de sterrenhemel te kijken. De villa is van binnen netjes en gezellig (zoals de foto’s weergeven) ingericht en voorzien van alle gemakken die je nodig hebt, zoals oven, magnetron, wasmachine, broodrooster en dergelijke. De slaapkamers zijn ruim opgezet en voorzien van muskietennetten. Deze netten hebben we niet gebruikt, omdat er niet veel muggen waren. De villa heeft veel ramen en deuren, waardoor ’s avonds de frisse wind er goed door heen kon waaien. Wij hebben de airco niet gemist. De supermarkt in Ruoni is sinds 2018 heel klein geworden, maar bij Santa Teresa (enkele minuten rijden) zijn er voldoende alternatieven. Ruoni ligt centraal voor noord Sardinië en is een goede uitval basis voor mooie stranden en leuke plaatsen. Als je problemen of vragen hebt aan Jill of John, dan krijgt je snel een reactie en wordt het opgelost. Kortom, wij hebben er volop van genoten en komen nog graag een keer terug. John en Jill bedankt voor deze mooie vakantie.

I have left a translation in English of your review This summer we had two wonderful weeks in Capizza di Vacca, a suburb of Ruoni. The villa is located on top of a hill, from where you have a beautiful view towards Corsica and the La Maddalena islands. The villa stands on a very large plot and has sun all day. There are lovely terraces around the house, where you can enjoy the freedom and tranquility. Especially the elevated terrace, where you can enjoy the first rays of the sun in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee or watch the stars in the evening with a good glass of wine. The villa is neatly and cozy inside (as shown in the photos) and equipped with all the conveniences you need, such as an oven, microwave, washing machine, toaster and the like. The bedrooms are spacious and equipped with mosquito nets. We did not use these nets because there were not many mosquitoes. The villa has many windows and doors, so that the fresh wind could blow through it in the evening. We have not missed the air conditioning. The supermarket in Ruoni has become very small since 2018, but at Santa Teresa (a few minutes drive) there are plenty of alternatives. Ruoni is centrally located for northern Sardinia and is a good base for beautiful beaches and nice places. If you have any problems or questions for Jill or John, you will get a response quickly and it will be resolved. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to come back again. John and Jill thank you for this beautiful holiday.

Super Wohnung, ruhig, gut Eingerichtet, mit vier Umschwung und Aussicht

Die Lage ist ruhig aber in 10 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in Santa Teresa oder am Strand. Auch wenn die Wohnung keine Klimaanlage hat, geht immer ein leichter Wind und es bleibt bei angenehmen Temperaturen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und auch ums Haus hat man viel Platz. Mit einer tollen Aussichtsplatform. John ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Beschreibung wurde nichts versprochen dass nicht gehalten wurde. Es ware eine wunderbare Zeit.

Herrlich erholsamer Urlaub in Villa mit Traumlage

Während unseres dreiwöchigen Trips durch Sardinien mit unseren Kindern (8 und 10) haben wir uns in der Region Gallura für Johns wirklich sehr schöne Villa mit herrlichem Blick entschieden und jeden Tag genossen. Das Haus liegt auf einer Hügelkuppe in Capizza di Vacca, rund zwei Kilometer von Santa Teresa di Gallura entfernt und oberhalb von Ruoni gelegen. Hier findet sich eine kleine Ansammlung von freistehenden Häusern im Grünen mit herrlichem Blick auf den gesamten Inselnorden. Abseits vom Trubel genießt man die Ruhe und abends eine herrliche Brise, die einen auch im Sommer ohne Klimaanlage prima schlafen lässt. Auch wenn nicht sämtliches Equipment dem neuesten Stand entsprochen hat, so haben wir immer alles vorgefunden, was wir gebraucht haben. Die Villa ist geschmackvoll rustikal eingerichtet und bietet sowohl innen als auch außen genügend Platz für eine Familie. Über jedem Bett hängt ein Moskitonetz, was wir jedoch nicht gebraucht haben. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer und zwei Bäder, eine Waschmaschine, eine Küche mit Spülmaschine, Backofen und 4-Platten-Gasherd, einen großen Außengrill fürs Spanferkel und eine tolle Außendusche, auf die wir uns allabendlich gefreut haben. Highlight für uns war aber ganz klar die kleine erhöhte Außenterrasse, auf der man mitten in der Maccie sitzend bei einem Glas Wein die herrliche Aussicht und Stille genießen konnte. Da der Supermarkt in Ruoni selbst maximal für Brot taugt, sind wir immer nach Santa Teresa die Gallura gefahren, wo gleich mehrere gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bestehen. Auch hier benötigt man mit dem Auto nur wenige Minuten und fährt dabei durch ein blühendes Oleandermeer. Die meisten der vielen wunderschönen Strände haben wir unter 15min Fahrzeit erreicht, Dank John´s Tipps haben wir auch Wege eingeschlagen, die wir ohne ihn nie gefunden haben (z.B. Liscia). Ohnehin ist John ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter, sämtliche Kommunikation auch im Vorfeld der Reise verlief reibungslos und sehr angenehm. Besonders in Erinnerung bleiben uns die Wanderungen am absolut eindrucksvollen Capo Testa, der Zodiac-Ausflug ins La-Maddalena-Archipel (Anbieter: Memo, zu buchen über Alessandro am Strand von La Marmorata – Tel. +3406432302) und das wirklich phantastische Abendessen im Agriturismo La Tegghia oberhalb von Rena Majore mit herrlichem Blick aufs Meer bei Sonnenuntergang (unbedingt vorab telefonisch reservieren!). Uns hat es extrem gut gefallen. Und nochmals: Danke John!

Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage

Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer kleinen Siedlung oberhalb von Ruoni und bietet einen fantastischen Blick auf das La-Maddalena-Archipel und das Meer in der Ferne. Viele wunderschöne Strände sind mit dem Auto zwischen 10 und 20 Minuten zu erreichen. In Santa Teresa, ebenfalls wenige Minuten entfernt, findet man alle notwendigen Geschäfte (Supermarkt, Bäcker, Fischladen, Metzger, etc) und eine Vielzahl von Restaurants. Aber auch in Ruoni selber ist ein kleiner Supermarkt, bei dem das frische Brot zum Frühstück geholt werden kann. Das Haus selber ist für eine vierköpfige Familie optimal mit zwei WCs, Schlafzimmern und einer sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche. Die angebrachten Moskitonetze sorgen für ein sorgenfreies Schlafen bei auch im Hochsommer angenehmen Temperaturen aufgrund der Höhenlage mit leichter Brise. Der Gärten bietet eine Vielzahl von Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Besonders die eingerichtete Plattform bietet Abends einen unvergesslichen Blick auf den sardischen Sternenhimmel. John ist ein sehr netter Vermieter, der mit einer Vielzahl von Tipps (Boot zum Nationalpark, sardische Küche, etc.) zu einem gelungen Urlaub beiträgt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle Ferienunterkunft

Wir verbrachten mit unseren drei Kindern (9, 11, 12) zwei wunderschöne Ferienwochen in Ruoni. Das Haus liegt mitten im Grünen auf einem Hügel. Auf mehreren Terrassen genießt man rund um das Haus eine traumhafte Idylle: zirpende Grillen, blühender Oleander und das Meer in der Ferne. Da hier im Norden Sardiniens meist eine leichte Brise weht, ist es auch im Hochsommer angenehm warm und es gibt nur wenige Mücken. Bestechend an der Unterkunft ist vor allem die Stille und die Nähe zu mehreren traumhaften Stränden, die wenige Autominuten entfernt liegen. Der Besitzer John ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Beautiful Villa in Peaceful Setting

Beautiful villa both inside and out! Located on a hillside with stunning views of the countryside and the coast. Very peaceful and private setting. Well equipped, had everything we needed including a great BBQ - we stayed in and cooked 6 out of our 7 nights there. Very clean and comfortable (bed in main bedroom was especially comfortable), lots of storage, nicely decorated and well maintained. Lots of outside space with both shade and sun, being located on a hill always meant there was a refreshing breeze. 5 - 10 mins drive to the nearest beach and supermarket, and 10 mins into the lovely town of Santa Teresa Gallura - and Capo Testa, which is definitely worth a visit. Owner John who lives next door very friendly and happy to provide tips and information. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back!

Ruhiger Rückzugsort mit fantastischem Meerblick

Wir hatten dieses Ferienhaus für eine Woche im Juli gemietet und waren rundum zufrieden. Das Haus ist sehr schön, geräumig, gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber; draußen gibt es verschiedene nette Sitzplätze und die Aussicht ist umwerfend. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, es liegt sehr ruhig und auf einem Hügel, so dass es auch im Hochsommer nicht zu heiß wird. Viele schöne Strände sind mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen, von denen der nächstliegende, der nur wenige Autominuten entfernt ist, nach unserer Meinung der schönste ist. Die verschiedenen Strände bieten alle Wassersportmöglichkeiten, es gibt auch eine Windsurfschule. Santa Teresa ist ebenfalls schnell zu erreichen, eine nette kleine Stadt mit Hafen, Strand, guten Restaurants und Supermärkten. Wenn man nicht nur zum Strand gehen möchte, gibt es auch viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, z.B. Palau, La Maddalena, Korsika, Capo Testa etc., die wir in der kurzen Zeit gar nicht alle nutzen konnten. Viele nützliche Informationen, Tipps und gute Ideen kann man vom Vermieter bekommen, der ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit ist und immer da war, wenn wir ihn brauchten. We had booked this villa for one week in July and it was just great. The house is lovely, spacious, well equipped and perfectly clean, with many good places outside and a stunning view. The location is excellent, very quiet and on top of a hill so that it never gets too hot. Many beautiful beaches are within a good driving distance, the best of which being, in our opinion, the nearest one, just a few minutes away. The different beaches offer all kinds of water sports, there is also a windsurfing club where courses can be taken. Santa Teresa is also just a few minutes away; a nice little town with a port, a beach, some good restaurants and supermarkets. If you do not want to spend all the time on the beach, you can go on a trip to Palau, La Maddalena, Korsika, Capo Testa etc., some of which we couldn’t cover in just one week. The owner is very kind and helpful; never intrusive, he was always there when we needed him, with lots of useful information, valuable advice and good ideas.

Lovely vacation

This is a very comfortable totally equipped villa located in a very quite and private area near a pleasant small town Santa Teresa di Gallura. Where you can find plenty of cafes and some good restaurants. There is enough shadow in the big garden and since the village lies on a hilltop, there is always some breeze, so it is not as hot as at the coast and the outside shower is a remarkable invention, very useful in hot days. The views are fantastic, specially from the raised terrace. Kitchen is nice and well equipped, but we used mostly BBQ. Leaving room stays cool even in hot days (if one keeps shutters closed). Bedrooms are big and comfortable. The villa is very independent, though the owner, John lives next door. He is are very friendly and thoughtful person, who helped with all needed information and advice. It takes only about ten minutes to the nearest beaches but it's an advantage of the location that both east and west sides are easily reachable. we traveled also deep in the island and to Corsica. If we had not traveled so much children would be bored We had a lovely vacation here and would not hesitate to come back.

Ein wunderschöner Platz zum Abschalten

Der jährliche Spagat zwischen Aktivurlaubswunsch unserer Kinder (12+15 Jahre) und unserem Ruhebedürfnis konnte an diesem Ort optimal befriedigt werden. Tagsüber Surfen in Porto Pollo, mittags und abends ein idyllisches Plätzchen ohne Diskothek und üblicher Hochsaison "Abzocke" haben wir hier gefunden. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, kein Luxus, aber völlig ausreichend. Die Küche ist für Ferienhausverhältnisse üppig ausgestattet. Es finden sich überall schöne Schattenplätze zum Ausruhen und Lesen. Die Lage und der Fernblick ist beeindruckend. Die nächsten Nachbarn sind weit genug entfernt, wenn man es so wünscht. Keine Ferienanlage mit 100 identischen Häusern, auf jeden Fall individuell. Unser beste Wahl seit Jahren. And a lovely owner-thanks John.;)

Traumhafte Ferien

Als vierköpfige Familie mit zwei Kindern (4 und 7 Jahre) haben wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl in diesem wunderschönen Haus gefühlt. Besonders gefiel uns die Ruhe und das naturbelassene Grundstück, auf dem es für Kinder viel zu erforschen gibt. Der Ausblick aufs Meer von der Terrasse ist einmalig - von dem auf einem Granitfelsen angelegten Hochsitz kann man sogar bis Korsika sehen. Das Haus bietet eine Menge Platz und lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Oft haben wir hier einen ganzen Tag (ohne Strand) verbracht und die Ruhe genossen. Einen Pool haben wir nicht vermisst. Das Haus liegt etwas höher als die Küste - daher weht hier immer ein angenehmer Wind und nachts kühlt es sich wohltuend ab. Mücken waren kaum ein Problem, zudem haben die Betten Moskitonetze. Zwingend notwendig ist allerdings ein Auto. Die Entfernungen sind aber kein Problem - die nächsten Strände, Supermarkt und Santa Teresa max. 10 bis 15 Minuten. Sardinien ist hier wirklich sehr sehenswert: die Felsen des Capo Testa, sehr schöne Sandbuchten mit türkisem Meer und eine grandiose Landschaft mit Macchia und Granitfelsen. Wer etwas fahren möchte, erreicht locker innerhalb einer Stunde die Costa Smeralda mit seinen grandiosen Buchten, den teuren Yachten und den Luxus-Hotels. Deutlich näher ist Palau mit dem Bären-Kap und der Fährverbindung nach Maddalena (sehr empfehlenswert). Genug Möglichkeiten also für Strandbesuche und sonstige Ausflüge. Für Kulturinteressierte bietet die Region allerdings kaum Sehenswertes. Unser Vermieter John war von der ersten Kontaktaufnahme ein sehr freundlicher und zuverlässiger Ansprechpartner. Dies hat sich dann vor Ort mehr als bestätigt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Perfect location

We went hoping to find a comfortable villa with a bit of a view, handy for the sea and with sunshine guaranteed. John's place surpassed our expectations. The view is much better than the photo suggests, especially from the raised seating area, which is a lovely touch; the accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped, providing cool shade and hot sun, whichever you fancy; and the location is perfect: up and away from it all but with countless idyllic beaches and coves just a few minutes drive away, and the superyachts of Porto Cervo about 45 mins. Eat at the sea front restaurant in Porto Pozzo (10 mins) and Capannacia on the road into Palau (20 mins), both full of Italian families, buzzing, good food and prices not as horrendous as you're led to believe (unless you go for the fish). And try to find the E130 to hire a boat from Porto Pozzo for a day and whizz out to the Madalenas, where you'll find beautiful little beaches and the bluest water imaginable. Fuel is extra, be warned, but it's an experience you won't forget. Who needs a swimming pool with all this on your doorstep? In short, a lovely holiday location where you feel you're getting good value from an honest, scrupulous, helpful and friendly owner.

Wish we were there!

We were lucky to get a last minute booking at this little villa in the hills near charming Santa Teresa Gallura. Owner John, was very helpful and recommended some fab beaches - not hard as all the beaches were fab. The villa was exceptionally clean and well-cared for. You are independent and private although the owner's villa is close enough if you need anything. Best bits are sitting up on the terrace crafted amid the huge granite boulders gazing out to the bluest of blue seas having a sundowner after a hard day at the beach, or having breakfast on the terrace while planning your day. There was a great little beach restaurant at Porto Pozzo with fantastic views, great food and terrible service! Worth going though - can't remember the name but drive in the day about 10 mins from house and book for the evening. A great place to stay with a knowledgeable, helpful but not intrusive and fun owner - he's very sporty too so can advise on the best places for windsurfing etc.

Eine Oase mit Meerblick

Unsere Familie mit 3 Teenager hat dieses Haus sofort zum Traumhaus erklärt. Ein Glas Wein mit enormer Fernsicht auf das Maddalena Archipel genießen ist wirklich vom Feinsten. Auch die Hängematte hatte vor dem Haus einen schattigen Platz. Vom Vermieter John, der im Nebenhaus wohnt, wurden wir wirklich angenehm und unkompliziert betreut. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und gemütlich eingerichtet. Dadurch es etwas über dem Meer liegt, ist es in der Nacht angenehm kühl und ruhig gelegen. Ein Auto ist unbedingt notwendig, viele Strände sind in 5 bis 15 min zu erreichen (Capo Testa oder Liscia!). Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt.

Schöne Ferien auf dem Hügel

Das Haus entspricht exakt den Beschreibungen. Der Blick ist sogar noch schöner. Alles war tipp-topp in Ordnung und gepflegt. John war schon im Vorfeld ein zuverlässiger Ansprechpartner. Das Haus war für uns ( Familie mit 2 Kindern und Hund ) der ideale Platz für schöne Morgen- und Abendstunden und Ausgangspunkt für unsere Strand- und Stadtausflüge ins malerische Santa Teresa di Gallura. Die schönsten Strände fanden wir auf Capo Testa, die Felsformationen sind atemberaubend. Der Garten bot zu jeder Tageszeit Sonnen- und Schattenplätze. Besonders idyllisch ist der in Fels und Maccia errichtete Sitzplatz für 2 Personen mit Blick auf Korsika. John und seine Frau waren sehr freundliche Vermieter. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche.
